Re: English Championship 1501

Six games to go, can anyone catch Spurs?

One side that certainly won't be lifting that coveted title are Bolton Wanderers after Steve Swan's Trotters truly lived up to their name by ting themselves and bottling it when Everton came to The Reebok, then left with all three precious points.

Blue army!

Re: English Championship 1501

I'll quote you that in the near future Mozza! Take that 2-0 defeat son. :P

Im happy with my league position, avoid the drop was the message from my chairman....ive heard your board are meeting to discuss the fans discontent at being off the pace of the top of the league, apparently Brian Laws is being touted for your job

Re: English Championship 1501

Challenging for Champions League place Mozza, definate progression on last seasons finishing place by a possible 5 places and improved yet younger starting 11 for next season with only one 30 year old player. Who says i'm not happy with that? Great season so far. :P

Re: English Championship 1501

There's quite a good battle for promotion in the 2nd division!

Much tighter at the top of that league than it is in ours, pick yer winner from a choice of 3, think our league is done and dusted tonight if I don't beat Spurs (and even if I do it will still be a stretch for me or Sunderland to catch em).

Can Chelsea get out of the mire or is one of the real life "big four" gonna suffer the drop?

Congratulations to Tottenham for winning the league! They deserve it in all honesty. Now its an all out battle for 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Unlucky to those who who just fell short. Its quite interesting down at the bottom tho. I played Walsall last night, was 3-0 up at half time and ended up drawing 3-3!! Think that kept them 2 points above Fulham who are 3rd bottom.... i play them next!

Re: English Championship 1501

New Season upon us....who are we all representative of in real life??

Joe- Everton.....David Moyes? Through his great league positions with a side of not so big stars

Neal- Blackburn.....Arsene Wenger? Not one English man in his side, always banging on about his average age going down and should really be doing slighlty better

Danny- Middlesbrough.....Harry Redknapp? Always Jumping ship when theres a whiff of danger

Me- Sheff Weds....Sam Allardyce? My transfer targets are either ageing footballers who i belive can still do a job or typical big and strong and not much skill

Swanny- Bolton....Mancini? Doing a good job with great potential to challenge for the league

Regan- Fulham.....Brian Laws? Need i say more

Joss- West Ham.....Alex Macleish? Doing a steady job but could faulter at any moment

Dom- Stoke....Tony Pulis? Again just doing a steady job with not much to work with

add your own thoughts :D

Re: English Championship 1501

You can add Warren to this list. Having an absolute shocker so far' date=' who could he be? I would of said Benitez but having just been sacked, i'm out of ideas.[/quote']

I'd compare Waz at the minute to Hughes during his run at City, got some good players in place but struggling to get the best out of them/not quite having enough depth in the squad when they aren't performing, has just sold his best player and long term prospect as well.

As an aside how ******* competitive is our league though, look at the quality from top to bottom, I think it's fair to say 90% of teams have got to be starting the season with the priority being survival and nothing more, nobody is too good to go down, most teams are feasibly good enough to win it.

Gonna be interesting...

Re: English Championship 1501

League is wide open! Blackburn and Liverpool have had shocking periods but are back in the mix. Sheff untd are well over achieving and currently sitting in 2nd. I think in the next month the league will start to split in to 3rds, seriously competitive at the moment!
