Time Clicking For Birks

Birkirkara Now Need Stafford Rangers to Slip up twice if they are to have any chance of avoiding the drop,Despite a Defeat for Stafford Birks also failes to pick up all 3 points away at Exeter only managing a 2-2 draw altough it could have been alot Worse for the Maltease Side as they went 2-0 down early on & had to rely on SWP & Priskin to get a point from the game, SWP Will also be out for the remainder of the season after picking up an ankle injury in the process, a HUGE HUGE blow for the Islanders.

Whatever happens now birks Must Pick up 4 points & hope Stafford Lose all there games to avoid the Drop even then goal difference may well be against them.A home game next for Birkirkara then 2 final games away from home.

Whatever the outcome Birkirkara will be ina better Situation next Season,But for know they must concentrate on the next game.

Elsewere Silema Wanderers have pulled 4 points ahead of 3rd place leaving them 2 wins for promotion,While Hibernians are already looking forward to next season.

COUNTY CRUMBLE!

Raz's unbeaten champions Notts County crumble away from there undefeated season 2 games from the end losing 4-3 to Aldershot.

Aldershot went 1-0 up through young mexican Edgar Meija - only for county's 'in form' marksman Markus ALLBACK to smash in a 15 minute hat-trick to send county 3-1 up at half time. However there was to be another twist to the tale as Aldershot came out fighting and stunned County scoring 3 goals in the second half - a brace from 17 year old Stefano OKAKA-CHUKA and a punt from Matt Derbyshire was enough to see off the Division 1 champions in what was a superb game.

Exeter City 0 Stirling Albion 2

Great away win over Exeter with goals from Varela and Moustogiannis .

Now with just 1 game to go at home to Adelaide United Stirling need a win to go up for the 2nd year in a row

Manager Col had this to say

Im very proud of the lads but we must win our last game at home to Adelaide. With Albion Rovers who are in 3rd place 1 point behide us having what looks on paper a easy game at Dagenham & Redbridge

Re: The Leamington Invitational Official Thread

Division Two finally reaches it's climax as Paul Thame's Bristol Rovers finish Division Two with a massive 49 points out of a possible 66 for the season.

Further joy for the Thame household as younger brother Grant Thame's Albion Rovers join a 'delighted' Paul into Division One, with a win over Dagenham and a loss for long-time promotion pushers Stirling Albion.

Exeter City News: Big Transfer signing????

BenFoster_L.jpg

A £10 million bid for Manchester United goalkeeper has been accepted, with Foster now left to decide whether he wants to join.

George said ' I understand that Foster may have to move on if his rating increases but we are prepared to take the gamble. Hopefully he will join as he's a superb keeper. '

Wooow thats a gamble & a half there mate

Im suppose your hoping he dosent get much first team action this year at United

Well I'm prepared to take the risk, and if I have to sell him because he increases, then at least with the addition of unavailable to manage clubs signing players more often, I should be able to sell him quickly :)

Albion Rovers have made 6 offers with their 22.7 million tranfer kitty with one of them signings is going to be the one and only Francesco Toldo for 400k plus young Goalkeeper Mark Bunn.

Albion Rovers have also loaned in Bristol Rovers in this setup Roar Stand and is also having a go at SWP and Phillippe Senderos.

A Sukur Punch for Bonnet!!!

News has reached the SM News team, and the shock of all shocks. Profilic Bristol Rovers striker Luis Bonnet, Division Two's top scorer last season with a massive 18 goals, is being swapped for Galatasaray's Turkish delight Hakan Sukur. Paul has this to say:

"It's sad seeing a player like Luis leaving the Memorial Stadium. I decided it was time for him to move on on Monday morning, when I saw his rating had decreased to 85. The search for a new striker was on, and Sukur ticked all the boxes, so for him to join us will be the start of a new era at the Memorial Stadium. One that will hopefully see us topping the Division One table at the end of the season"

County RECOUP

Notts County are on the hunt in the transfer market, and are succeeding greatly after the recent capture of Australian international defender Lucas Neill for approximately 11.5 million pounds. County manager Raz has started to attract the big names in football after thumping division 1 last season, and there is another big Australian name on the cards, as Raz is hoping to secure the services of aussie hitman Mark Viduka in the next couple of days - which will surely add the final piece to the already over powering notts county jigsaw puzzle. County are rumoured to be paying roughly 12 million for Viduka, taking their summer spending so far to a whopping 24 million pounds.
