leamingtonsteve 820
The battle approaches The day is nearly upon us where the challenge to take a poor 70 or below rated team and make them into something special. Without splashing out on 90 or higher rated primadonnas, players must sign only players who are pretty much unknown or not as famous as your Ronaldos, Ronaldinho's and Rooneys. Its only a few days away and there are limited spaces. This is a challenge for any SM user to not just sign the best, its a challenge to sign what you can. Take up the challenge the kickoff is sunday.
juve_fan 234
What shall I do as Micah Hyde doesnt want to leave, shall I just leave him in the reserves?
leamingtonsteve 820
For matchday1 that might be best, after that play him as normal as everyone will be buying up players.
leamingtonsteve 820
The Headlines As we await kick off it would seem some teams are already outlining the players they will be hoping will strengthen there small teams. As noticed with Micah Hyde of Peterborough he has been very reluctant to leave and join another of our teams which should make things more interesting as players rated 80+ may not want to join your teams. Here is the news so far. 18year old brazilian Denilson is on Gretna's shopping list. The Arsenal midfielder also has had interest from Wrexham as well. Gretna are preparing another raid on Arsenal with a bid for Diaby. The mighty gull may be lining up a bid of £1.6million to strengthen his defence with the signing of Watford's Adrian Mariappa. RobbieM is looking at experience rather than youth as he hopes to capture Karel Rada for his Crawley side. Peterborough United would have to stump up nearly £3million if they decide to pursue there interest in striker Oliver Neuville. They are also being scouted by Southport who are interested in there midfielder Josh Low.
pthame 3d 295
A small list of players have made Bristol Rovers boss Paul Thame's shopping list, one of them being old Accrington Stanley goal machine Musemestre Bamba
GeorgeECFC 4,430
With 10m to spend Exeter City are looking at signing Torquay's Chris McPhee who would boost the midfield. City also have a goalkeeper, defender and striker in mind, which will probably take around half of City's transfer kitty.
fraser mcinnes 1,627
raith rovers have many targets in mind but their manager and scouting staff are refusing to release any details as they don't want caught up in a bidding war. suffice to say older players are not an option for rovers as their wage demands make them untenable. I'm not going for oldies either as they probably won't join either but...... Exeter City have now also confirmed major targets in Tomasz Kuszack, Giuseppe Rossi and Adam Eckersley all from Manchester United.

GeorgeECFC 4,430
10m???? nice and realistic for Exeter NOT!!! where do they get the starting money figures from? I know, but it's not fair to have only about 60k or so which Exeter probably have. You would probably have to stick with most of your original players. Most teams in this setup I presume have something around that figure making it fair for all clubs.
sparkygeezer 12
I have only got 5m and in reality Morcambe are richer than Exeter. Not sure how SM calculates starting money

GeorgeECFC 4,430
Exeter City started the season with a 1 - 0 win over Albion Rovers. Every single player in the team was up for this and Jon Challinor scored in the 55th minute to cap a wonderful night for City. Exeter were disappointed to see today that Wrexham had an accepted deal for Shane Long. Long was City's main target but they will have to look elseware.
fraser mcinnes 1,627
raith rovers have signed 10 new players. all deals have been accepted and should be completed for the big press conference tomorrow.

byrne7 16
Wrexham are rumoured to be nearing the completion of deals to bring 10 players to The Racecourse Ground. It is also believed that new manager Lee Byrne has targeted another 4 players before their next match. Byrne has wasted no time identifying talented youngsters to integrate with some senior pros such as Gary Speed and goalkeeper Cesar. Will this emptying of the Wrexham coffers be enough to provide the success the fans crave for this season or will it be a season of false hope for the recently struggling side.
