Northwich Victoria 2 - 1 Perth Glory

All the goals came in a frantic first half at the Victoria stadium to keep the vics in the hunt for promotion. Sams Perth who were also chasing came and gave a good account of themselves in this closely fought battle. Alfaro (6) and Sudo (36) put the vics into a early lead. Archie Thompsons 38th minute goal gave Perth heart but no glory as Northwich collected the win.

A third win in six leaves Northwich three points shy of the promotion places but with eight games left they need to keep up the pace.

Morecambe 0 - 0 Northwich Victoria

Northwich had the daunting task of visiting league leaders Morecambe who hadnt given anybody a point at home this season. That meant that this draw was the first time Morecambe hadnt won at home and the vics came away with a point but felt like winners.

The draw drops the vics to 7th and five points short of the promotion spots to D2.

Peterborough United beat Birkirkara 3-1 to move up to 4th, just 6 points off top, with 5 games left. Posh went 1-0 down in the 25th minute, Posh immediately equalized through Aaron McLean in the 28th minute. The sides went in to the interval with 1 goal each, and both sides still had it all to be played for in the second half. Bobby Convey scored in the 56th minute with Micah Hyde sealing the points 10 minutes later.

Although they are 4th and 6 points off the top, Martignetti is still confident his Posh side can still finish second, or maybe even top. He said this:

"We are currently on good-ish form and could still finish 2nd, we can easily make up the 5-point gap to 2nd place Hibernians, with 5 games left. We have unmanaged Gretna next, so I would expect nothing less than a comfortable win. After that, we have Queensland Roar, who are currently top, so I am hopeful we can grab 3 points there aswell. Top is possible, but I would be happy with second."

Northwich Victoria 3 - 1 Burton Albion

Burton took an early lead in this match on 4minutes. Luke Boden scoring to set Burton on there way. However it spurred the vics when Daisuke Sudo pushed a low shot on 14 to level the game. Goran Jezdimirovic put the home side ahead on 27 with a fantastic 15yard effort for his first goal in the vics colours.

Burton had no fire power in the second period and failed to add to there one shot on target, they were punished with Suko's second of the game handinh the three points to Northwich on 87.

Seven points from the last nine has Northwich in 5th and needing four points to catch second. With six games left theres a chance of that happening.

DIVISION ONE

Kevs Queensland Roar take top spot off Bobo's Hibernians leaving these two sides four ahead of the trailing pack.

Tamworth are in real trouble and heading for D2 unless they win all of there last six games, no wonder they remain managerless. Joining them is going to be close as RobbieM's Crawley Town jumped out of trouble replaced by Oobee's Mariners.

DIVISION TWO

New Zealand Knights are five points away from promotion and lead this division by eleven points. Neller showing why he has the title 'Legend' in his name. In second the senior version we call Alan with Sydney FC looking to secure second but has Wrexham and Raith Rovers in close proximity.

Southport and Sliema look likely to go down to D3 with Sliema managerless they have lost the spark they had under 001.

DIVISION THREE

Mark Stapleys Morecambe are as impressive as the Knights leading D3 by a country mile. They also need five points to confirm promotion and lead second by twelve points. Forest Green and Stirling lead the race for second spot.

Without a win all season Arbroath sit bottom of the setup with five points.

AVAILABLE TEAMS

Gretna- £1.1m

Tamworth- £11.8m

Sliema Wanderers- £6.2m

East Fife- £4.8m

Alloa Athletic- £5.3m

Grays Athletic- £5.2m

Arbroath- £6.0m

Cowdenbeath- £3.7m

Bristol Rovers 2-1 Albion Rovers

History repeated itself once again in the Leamington Invitational, with Paul's Bristol Rovers beating Grant's Albion Rovers once again, after beating them twice this season.

Goals from Roar Strand and Michael Tarnat for Bristol Rovers was countered by a strike from Rovers loanee to Albion, Richard Walker.

This victory leaves Rovers in 6th place, only four points behind second place Wrexham

Exeter City 7 - 1 Sydney FC

After all the recent poor performances by Exeter it seems as though they were saving it up for this game against Alan Neller SNR's side.

The first real action in the game was the sending off of Sydney's Alvin Ceccoli for a dangerous two footed tackle.

Lee Elam opened the scoring for Exeter on 24mins and Jon Challinor and Jose Cardozo made it 3 - 0 before half time.

In the second half, Cardozo went on to score 3 goals in 7 minutes completing his hat trick and also grabbing his 4th of the game. Lee Elam finished off the scoring for Exeter on the hour mark making it 7 - 0.

However, Sydney still didn't give up with David Carney pulling one back.

The amazing thing with the game was the fact that Exeter scored every shot on target, in fact Sydney had more possession and shots on target showing how weird football can be at times.

Exeter move up to 5th with a promotion spot still in sight.

Posh moved up to 3rd from 4th after beating unmanaged Gretna 2-1. Mpho Chabangu gave Gretna the lead on 11 minutes. Josh Low equalized 6 minutes later on the 17th, with his 5th goal of the season. Posh grabbed the 3 points after Shane Blackett scored on the 52nd minute. His first goal of the season, yet he has only started 3 games. Josh Low got Man of the match.

Next up for The Posh is a top of the table clash as Posh (3rd) play Queensland Roar (1st). Martignetti believes his side can grab a win and close the gap to 3 points, and closer to their target for the season, 2nd.

Arbroath 0 - 2 Northwich Victoria

Arbroath went another game without winning thanks to a goal in each half for striker Josuap Padilla. The Peruvian takes his total to five in seven matches and keeps the Vics in the hunt for second spot.

DIVISION ONE

Kevs Queensland Roar pull away from Bobo's Hibernians after the Roar defeated Tamworth, Hibs could only draw.

Tamworth's defeat to Queensland means they are relegated and in D2 next season. Joining them is going to be close as Oobee's Mariners lost and remain in the bottom two but are only a point shy of safety..

DIVISION TWO

New Zealand Knights where amazingly held to a draw by struggling Sliema and still need thre epoints for promotion. In second Wrexham after they saw off Southport and Sydney FC were annihilated by Exeter..

Southport and Sliema look likely to go down to D3 with Sliema managerless they managed a draw with the leaders but have a long way still to go. Likewise are Southport who need a miracle for survival.

DIVISION THREE

Its as good as done now for Morecambe. After winning over Forest Green, Marks side need one point to confirm promotion. Forest Green and Stirling lead the race for second spot.

Without a win all season Arbroath sit bottom of the setup with five points.

LEAGUE division three

Rushden & Diamonds 0 - 1 Northwich Victoria

Northwich are now within touching distance of a promotion place joining second placed Stirling on 31points following this close earned victory over Lukes Rushden. A game totally dominated by the visitors with 70% of the games possesion produced one fatal strike as Goran Jezdimorivic headed home the winner. Four games to play and lots still to go for.

DIVISION ONE

Kevs Queensland Roar remain three points ahead of Bobo's Hibernians after both sides were victorious.

Tamworth are relegated and in D2 next season. Joining them is going to be close as Oobee's Mariners lost and remain in the bottom two but are only a point shy of safety..

DIVISION TWO

New Zealand Knights earned promotion to division one after seeing off Stafford Rangers and need one point to become champions. In second Wrexham after they saw off Sydney FC.

DIVISION THREE

Morecambe are champions and book there place in D2 after beating Grays. They will be joined by one of six clubs who are seperated by three points. Leading the chase are Stirling and my Vics both on 31points.

LEAGUE division three

Northwich Victoria 1 - 0 Alloa Athletic

The vics secured a sixth game unbeaten as they continue to push for the second automatic promotion spot. Gary McSheffery superbly lobbed the ball over Alloa's keeper to score the games only goal. Three games left and Northwich stay level on points with second placed Stirling.

DIVISION ONE

Kevs Queensland Roar held to a draw by Aldershot gave Hibs the chance to get back into the hunt for the championship closing the gap to one point. Razzas Notts County are third and still have a chance.

Tamworth are relegated and in D2 next season. Joining them is going to be close as Oobee's Mariners lost and remain in the bottom two but are only a point shy of safety from Birkirkara.

Defeat at the hands of Adam's NUJ'S handed advantage back to Bobo's Hibs in the race for the title. With two games remaining the Roar can only win their's and hope title nerves will make the Hib's slip up

A change of tactics and two brilliant new signings in the form of Luiz and Boateng both 80+ defenders helped secure a vital three points. a 21st minute goal Millan the 15 year old wonder kid was enough to seal the victory. johnsons men were down to 10 when in the 73rd minute Musialak kicked the ball away while abusing the referee for a straight red. the jets have Notts county next which again is a massive game for the club, Notts are one place below them with 1 point less. if we win and Hibs loose there is a small chance we can go for the title but for now 2nd is a more realistic option. however Roar will not be willing to give up there top 2 finish

Congrats to Bobo and his team.

After a D,L,D in the last three games Queensland's Roar became a "miaow" :) and the best they can hope for now is a second place spot.Currently one goal behind Adam's Jets it is all down to who does best in the final game.

Once again well done Bobo!!!

Re: The Leamington Invitational Official Thread

With Exeter City staying division 2 after narrowly missing out on promotion, George was happy to see the chairman invest 9million into the club, giving them 18.8million overall now.

George said ' That's a lot of money for a small club like us and we definitely won't be spending it all. First of all we are looking to secure 3 loan signings for next season, then we shall look at our squad and see if we need to strengthen any departments. We are looking for promotion this season. '

Re: The Leamington Invitational Official Thread

SEASON ONE ENDS!!!

Apologies for the lateness of this post. Have been on holiday and this is the earliest i have been able to do this since returning. Having caught up on all the GC's i'm in its now time to catch up on the customs beginning with my own which came to a great conclusion with people going up and down on the final week.

DIVISION ONE

When i left Kevs Queensland were top so was amazed to find Bobo's Hibernians had won the league. Well done to Bobo you are the king of this setup. Its now upto everyone else to take his crown. Queensland finish second but i'm sure Kev will be one of the favourites to go one better in season two. Well done to Adams Newcastle Jets who pipped Razza's Notts County into third.

At the foot managerless Tamworth were doomed a long while back but the scrap to survive the other place was in full fight. Birkirkara ended up in the 11th position and sink to division two next campaign.

DIVISION TWO

New Zealand Knights booked there place a few turns back for a seat in division one, they are now joined by Wrexham who kept out Raith and Exeter for the final promotion place. Good luck to Neller and Byrne as they take to the top flight for season two.

Managerless Sliema Wanderers and Southport have looked favourites to go down all season long and will now reside in division three next campaign.

DIVISION THREE

With Morecambe up a long while back, second went to the wire and sadly for me i was pipped at the post by Colin's Stirling. Having picked this side up part way through the season he did a great job of steering the scots to promotion at my Northwichs expense.

The wooden spoon goes to Arbroath who spent all season as the basement club and need a quality manager after a challenge to give them any hope of not repeating that feat.

Lastly i want to thank everyone of you that took part making this different type of setup trully fantastic. No Lampards, Beckhams or Rooneys instead we have Nugents, Larssons and even Nigel Clough making the starting line ups of there respective teams. In my eyes these setups are more fun and more challenging and although some people didnt last the pace for whatever reasons i thank all the ones that did making my £10 well spent.

THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK FOR SEASON TWO

AVAILABLE TEAMS

This really is a unique setup for the manager who wants something more challenging than owning countless Chelsea, Man Utds, Madrids or Milans with millions to spend. I'm also after people who wont just spend the cash available then leave because they havent got the skills to do anything with there team. The list below are teams available and the financial position.

GRETNA division one £16.1m

TAMWORTH division two £22.0m

DAGENHAM AND REDBRIDGE division two £17.5m

SLIEMA WANDERERS division three £14.8m

SOUTHPORT division three £13.3m

COWDENBEATH division three £13.6m

RUSHDEN AND DIAMONDS division three £11.2m

EAST FIFE division three £13.2m

ALLOA ATHLETIC division three £10.2m

GRAYS ATHLETIC division three £10.4m

ARBROATH division three £11.6m
