Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

East London' date=' West Ham is closer, but Leyton Orient is good aswell, the problem is (Sorry for stereotyping), but I always see lower league teams as more hooligans and stuff, and personally I don't want to be judged on racism etc. I'd support West Ham but I ALSO really like Leyton orient and they are second closet to me, although not the closet . It's been really cheesing me off what club to support , I support Galatasaray because of my father but not much, I prefer english football[/quote']

I'm only 15 and as I've said I've traveled to grounds all over the country and never been in a position where I've thought I'm going to be in any danger, nor as I have said before, seen any fans being racially abused, you might get the odd internet warrior acting hard on forums, but in real life, never seen it, might just be lucky mind.

Leyton Orient would be a good club to start with, a member on this forum called Froz3n partly supports them I think as he is from East London, he will know more about them than me so ask him what he thinks of the atmosphere, racism e.t.c if you want.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

There's not a problem with hooliganism today even in the lower leagues' date=' racism isn't a problem either from my experience.

I'd go with West Ham or Leyton Orient if I was you [b']but i'd keep clear of Millwall.[/b]

Exactly, only ground I'm a bit iffy about going to. Every club has morons, they just have more than others.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

Guys what Premier League team should I support? I am from Turkey originally but I was born here is London' date=' I don't know what team to support but I don't want to suffer racism for my religious beliefs/ race. So what football club would you suggest? I'm not supporting Chelsea so that's out. I need a club thats multicutural, I'd support either Spurs or Arsenal, but I don't mind supporting teams that I like I am really cheesed of at myself  so please help me choose a team[/quote']

Forget about England. Stade de Reims has all the glory you may wish for, and in France you can forget racism as you don't get more multicultural than France, the fans tend to be of African ethnicity themselves and there is no racism in audience (except against Ch'tis in Paris, but that does not apply to you). :D

...no, but seriously, Lille is just other side of the channel, you sure will get tickects cheap enough and it makes nice occasional trip to France. Glorious football and you get to see CL too. Choose LOSC!

Yeh, well i've been to Millwall and although it was a good away day I wouldn't want to go there every week. I know Swansea isn't much of a City, but the area of London that Millwall is in is horrible and the surroundings of the ground are dangerous places to be in. Away fans going by train have to go through about a mile of a police escorted tunnel to get to the ground and lots of coins were constantly being chucked by home supporters who also invaded the pitch at the end of the game before running away.

But i'm 16, have been to about 40 grounds (although i'll need to count again for an exact number) and have never been in danger at a football ground.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

Another Turkish-German set to join Liverpool' date=' although Sahin is the opposite, with Samed Yesil set to sign for the club for a reported fee of £1 million, here's a link below:

[url']http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2195787/Liverpool-set-snap-1m-Leverkusen-youngster-Yesil.html?ito=feeds-newsxml[/url]

Most of you will know who he is and is widely considered a future international for Germany, so it would be a good signing for Liverpool, not a major one but obviously one for the future! :)

He'll be Liverpool best striker at all.Is exactly what Liverpool needs...an amazing finisher,a good technique and good movement on the pitch.

Anyway seems like Granero is off to QPR and Maicon off to City.Cracking sign for City.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

Jay Spearing's joined Bolton on loan, much better for Bolton then the £3 million figure being talked about.

It's also on Valencia's offical site that we'e signed Pablo Hernandez for £5.5 million subject to a medical:

Valencia have reached an agreement with the Swansea City for the transfer of the player Pablo Hernandez, who has traveled to Wales to pass the medical. The Club wishes to thank Pablo's professionalism and involvement throughout his career on our team and wish him all the luck in his new career in sport.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

I want Tottenham to sign William and Hugo Lloris but it doesn't seem like either are happening at this moment in time with AVB saying its difficult to agree a fee for Willian and reports from France emanating they have failed to reach an agreement for Hugo Lloris. Frustrating as I like these players and would love to see them in the Prem.. Can't see who Tottenham will sign if it's not these two or Moutinho tbh.

Awesome. Spurs screw it again. Like with Modric, they almost got the deal undone by asking £2M more after agreement of principle already was there. Now they were allowed to negotiate with Lloris after a bid they made 26th August, and when negotiations were over, they lowered their bid significantly, causing that Lyon withdraw from the deal and Lloris stays in Lyon (permanently, I hope).

Classic brinkmanship, we will still sign him. Lloris' dad says he will join us.
