Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

does anyone know is Victor Moses or Jesus Navas is going to be injured on boxing day?

would love to see Jesus and Moses on the same pitch sometime during the game

I see what you did there

Navas might get a start ahead of Dzeko or Nasri, both of them had quite a poor game last time out. Plus they have to attack Liverpool's fullbacks and Lucas, so Pellegrini might want an extra midfielder.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

Haven't seen Henderson mentioned in anyone's TOTS yet. Can't understand why not :P

Reason why he didn't make my team is that he hasn't been as consistent as Ramsey, Toure is a dead cert for team of the season so far, and Barkley has brought the most to his team. If I was allowed a subs bench it would be along the lines of:

Mignolet, Baines, Jagielka, Lallana, Henderson, Negredo, Sturridge

That's still leaving the likes of Giroud, Mertesacker, Schneiderlin etc out.

One thing I've noticed is next to no Chelsea or Newcastle players mentioned. Hazard mentioned in one team of the season, Remy mentioned as a possible signing of the season.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

Y u target me?

Not intentional, just flicked through the last few pages and yours was the only one with a Chelsea player. Chelsea are 4th and could have gone joint top at Christmas, but looking at the teams people have suggested, they aren't getting the credit for it. It's quite an achievement to be 4th with no strikers finding form. Maybe its because a lot of people expected Chelsea to be run-away leaders with Jose back but seeing as they aren't, the Southampton's and Everton's are catching the eye because they are 'punching above their weight' so-to-speak, hence, Coleman, Shaw, Lovren etc.

You make a fair point. It's a crazily close season. Anything can happen hence why I'm not getting over the top about Liverpool. We may be top but realistically we'll probably be 4th or 5th by 2014

Who has stood out at Chelsea? Mourinho's tactics have meant that they play to score a goal and then shut out the opposition until full time. Whilst undoubtedly effective, it's incredibly dull and tedious.

Newcastle's stand out player has been Remy, but nobody's going to put him in over Suarez or Aguero.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

Dempsey's back at Fulham on loan for two months. Very wise decision to bring him back IMO. Let's face it, Fulham need a saviour at the minute, so who better than (probably) their best player of the last ten years. He might not be the same as he was before he signed for Spurs, but I imagine it's an exciting signing for Fulham fans.
