Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

So of the quick reads just it's:

Zouma - Chelsea

Otamemdi - Man Utd

Mangala & Fernando - Man City

Mitroglou - West Ham

Don't see Porto selling all three of Otamendi' date=' Mangala & Fernando...

Tomorrow could turn out to be active![/quote']

According to The Sun, West Brom are set to sign Valencia's Brazilian striker Jonas in an £8million deal that will pave the way for Nicolas Anelka's exit.

Taarabt joins AC Milan?

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

Saw this in today's Sun not sure how much truth in it though as it is the sun.

Manchester United's 18-year-old winger Adnan Januzaj will pledge his international future to England.

That whole situation is way too complicated. All three of England, Belgium & Albania want him (also eligible for Turkey & Serbia!), his hero is Lorik Cana so he was edging towards Albania but it will be his father who makes the final decision.

It doesn't though' date=' that's just it. Forget our differing opinions for a second and focus on this particular area.

You have a league high 48% of your possession in midfield, yet a very poor 26% of your possession is in the opposition half. In fact, only Aston Villa, Fulham and Stoke have a lower percentage of their possession in the other teams half. You've also taken a massive 51% of your shots from outside the box.

You might make more passes but you don't do anything with those passes. You have a large majority of your possession in midfield but don't move forward with the ball.[/quote']

This isn't in comparison to the rest of the Premier League sides, this is as opposed to us last season and we are certainly a more direct side than last season. We are a much bigger attacking threat, as opposed to the side that a significant period of last season played with no striker.

Bid rejected, it doesn't look likely. I'm happy with what we've got, now that our team seems to be coming back from injury. I do agree with the board in that we'll only try and bring players of a certain quality and if we can't get anyone in then so be it.

We've tried to bring in Schlupp, Ince, Cork, Redmond and Pilkington but it doesn't look like any of those will come off.
