Do you think Dier will play a lot next season in the league or will he be more of a Domestic Cup/EL player?

Jan isn't fit yet, Dawson is toilet/refusing to leave, Vlad is nowhere to be seen, Musacchio still seems up in the air until we get a departure and Kaboul is injury prone. It was more a process of elimination considering his performance against Schalke last week.

Had no pre-season minutes. In public anyway. MoPo said today in his press conference that he hasn't decided on any of the world cup players yet (I assume excluding Lloris and Bentaleb as they played last week). Depends on Kaboul's fitness. If Kaboul isn't fit then I don't think we have much choice.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

Pulis been called to an urgent meeting with Palace's co-chairman.

Surely not...

No one expected them to do as well as they did and he saved them from going down. If he goes it would be an uncalled for travesty!

Could be about a player that has just come available etc though?

Could very much be a possibility, although you wouldn't think that an 'urgent' meeting would need to be called because Wilfried Zaha wants to go back :P

Maybe they have. Maybe Football Manager just isn't as realistic as first thought :(

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread

Apparently he's the one who called the meeting over (a lack of) transfer funds...

Who knows?

All over the local papers here that it has come to a head basically with regards to transfer activity and him being less than leased at missing out on targets/lack of funds. Him and Parish have never been close in the sense that some managers/chairman are and it is more a marriage of convenience than that born out of love.

I can understand Pullis frustration but he has to recognise this is Crystal Palace, the club were on the brink not that long ago and won't make the same mistakes of the past, the consortium who saved them are smart enough people not to risk the security of the club and get it into the perils of the past.

They have also many plans to use the money from PL survival to improve the infrastructure of the club/ground which has needed to be done for a long time and is all part of the "way forward"

He may have been instrumental in saving them but he ain't in charge of club policy and nor should he be. Living so close I know how much the fans are grateful but they are also on the whole a realistic bunch.
