Guest JackWWFC
Re: Lille OSC | Gold Championship 93 | Lille OSC Sign Enyeama It was announced today that Lille OSC have agreed to sign Nigerian Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama. Enyeama came close to moving to France a few years ago, when Lyon were interested, but the Nigerian failed to gain a Work Permit and moved to Isreal instead. Enyeama will be Nigeria's #1 keeper for the world cup, and he will be a star attraction. At 16, he started with semi-professional club Ibom Stars, played four seasons with local giants Enyimba Aba, before moving to Israel. During his spell with Enyimba he won the CAF Champions League twice, with one noteworthy mention: He was always substituted before penalty shootouts. In 2009 Enyeama following reported interest from RCD Espanyol, Galatasaray and Arsenal. Enyeama was in Isreal for 3 years before deciding to move to France, and Lille was his first choice after reported interest from Arsenal. Enyeama's agent, Steve Davies, has confirmed the player was exited at moving to France, and that he is looking forward to setting up a new life with Lille. "Vincent has been really exited at the prospect of joining such a well supported club, the fans, the manager and the whole set up of the club exites him" The fee is believed to be around 3 million pounds + Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, Osvaldo who joined Lille last season, had a nightmare stint and put him self on the transfer. The deal will also see on loan keeper Leo Franco head back to Galatasaray. Is this the first of many transfers ? Keep up to date on SkySports.com

The deal is no suprise, Lille's manager, Jack Edwards has talked about his friendship with GizB, and he is exited to have Antonini on loan. Lille have been linked with many other players, and an unknown French striker was seen at Lille OSC's training ground today. The deal is set to be completed tommorow. Rio Mavumba has also been given the Captain's role, with Adil Rami being the vice captain. Both French Internationals.

He was given the squad number 27. He made his club debut during the pre-season in the 2007 Peace Cup, where he played in all four matches, scoring a goal in Lyon's first group match against Shimizu S-Pulse. He made his league debut on January 12 2008 in Lyon's 3–2 win over Toulouse coming on as a substitute. He scored his first ever league goal on March 22 2009 against Sochaux. In 2009 he signed for OGC Nice, who gave him a fresh spice and added to his game. He signed for Lille and hopes to be a success with the club. "I'm very exited to be here, and as soon as the season starts I hope to be in the first team, there are many strikers here that are good but I hope I play." In other news, Pawel Brozek signed a new five year contract, ending speculation with a move to Barcelona.
Guest JackWWFC
Re: Lille OSC | Gold Championship 93 | We Can Win The League Title! Pictured Above Edwards, who insists he can win the league. Today, in the weekly press conference, Lille manager Jack Edwards insists that his young side. His team, who have an average age of 23, go into the season with the runners up medal, and with more experience. When asked about his team's chances, and how his youthful side would cope, he gave his usual response. "Sometimes you have beautiful melons but they don’t taste very good and some other melons are a bit ugly and when you open them, the taste is fantastic… One thing is youth football, one thing is professional football. The bridge is a difficult one to cross and they have to play with us and train with us for us to taste the melon." Also, he got asked about other potential signings, he went on to say that his team is nearly completed for this season, and he thinks that in a couple of seasons they can be viewed as one of the greatest teams in the world. He got asked about his team's over flow of world class midfielders, he again, responded in his usual manner. "“Why drive Aston Martin all the time, when i have Ferrari and Porsche as well? That would just be stupid” - When asked about Matuidi, Mavumba and Cabaye. The conference ended around 19:09 PM.

A packed Stade de France saw Lille beat Marseille 3-1 in the Charity Shield final, the action packed match saw youthful Lille overcome Marseille. The game started with it's usual pre-match build up, dubbed the "Battle Of Age" where Lille have a very young squad, and Marseille have experienced stars. Marseille started the scoring on 34 minutes when Mohammadou Niang scored a great solo effort, but only 6 minutes later Lille's Loic Remy equalise. At the break it was equal, but Jack Edwards half time team talk proved dividends when Nabil Dirar scored on 48 minutes, but disaster, Marc Janko got sent off a minute later, he is now banned for three games. Loic Remy topped of the scoring on 55 minutes, 3-1 to Lille the final score, this is the first piece of Silverwear Lille win this season, but according to Jack Edwards it certainly wont be the last. In transfer news, David N'Gog has signed for Lille on loan from Liverpool. Guest JackWWFC
Re: Lille OSC | Gold Championship 93 | Champions Cup Smooth Win Nabil Dirar Wins Man Of The Match Lille overcame a strong Lanus side in the SMFA Champions Cup, with a 2-0 win over the strong Argentinian side. Nabil Dirar won the man of the match award after one goal and one assist for the French team. Lille had to play a weak side, after many players being unfit and some claimed to have food poisoning. Although, Blaise Matuidi scored within seconds to start the game to a flyer. It took Lille 53 minutes to finish off the game, after a superb 40 yard run saw Nabil Dirar score a fantastic goal for Lille. The French league started badly for Lille after a 1-1 draw with Vannes OC, but Lille play US Boulogne tommorow to kick-start their campaign. Lille have also signed experienced defender Emir Spahic from Monteipeller, the twenty-nine year old signed a three year deal to put some needed dominance into the defence. Morgan Amalfitano was bought in, this deal was a suprise to many, as the experienced Patrick Viera was linked with Lille but manager Jack Edwards rubbished the reports claiming lazy journalism. Amalfitano should help Lille's cause for the Ligue 1 title, as they currently occupy 8th place after a horrible run of form. JakeMCFC
