Countering 4-4-2 with 4 Defenders - URGENT HELP!

Hello, I have an Everton who are playing Tottenham today. Tottenham have been playing a 4-4-2 for the last five games so I think they will do it again. I was wondering what formation to use, the obvious one would be a 3-5-2 but that means that my best player Phillip Lahm wouldn't be playing and I think that is a waste of my cash. So I was wondering if anyone knew a formation with 4 defenders which can counter a 4-4-2 or should I just play three CB's in a 3-5-2 formation without Lahm.

Here is my team, please post what I should play.

Thanks!

Hey' date=' You can use 3-5-2 with Lahm, he'll still play well if you put him on the right side of the 3 doesn't have to be a Cb. I do it all the time.:D[/quote']

Really? Shall I make him doing a run (Yellow line) to the RB position just in case?

yh you can still play lahm..

i assume your mid is going to be like this

--------------------keita-----------

cazorla/lennon-bastian--gattuso---cazorla/lennon

Basically but,

-----------------------Keita---------------------------

Schweinstieger-----Gattuso----Felipe Melo--------Cazorla

I always use 4-3-3 wingers, and am usually successful. it keeps plenty of clean sheets for me and scores goals too. i would paly like this:

-------------------------frey-----------------------

-Lahm------Vermealen---------Gamberani------Chivu

----------------------Keita-------------------------

----------Gattuso--------------Schweinstieger-------

Cazorla--------------------------------------Lennon

---------------------Cardozo-----------------------

When playing three at the back, the best way to utilise your players is to use either 3 CBs, or an RB-CB-LB lineup.

As such, if you were to use a 3-5-2, I would set your team out as this:

Frey

LahmchipsVermaelenbeansChivu

Felipe Melo

SchweinsteigerboobsGattusobumsKeitalegs Santi Cazorlakinky

Thanks, that's what I'm going to play, but I might replace Schweinstieger with Lennon as his morale is high.

Lol at the words in white Lee lol.

i would then pobs keep bastian on instead of lennon..rating wise

I can put Bastian CM for Keita and then put Lennon on the wing?

Or put Keita DM, Schweinstieger CM for Felipe Melo and Lennon on the wing.
