Ok whether this thread works is yet to be seen, im just curious if any of the other sm members enjoy Poker as much as i do :D

If any of you guys enjoy a good game of poker then you can find me playing either on Zynga (Facebook) for free OR Full Tilt for those of you guys who enjoy a cash game now and again :)

If anybody fancies a game sometime p.m me for details :D

Re: Poker (NL Hold EM)

No Limit scares me (unless we're talking lowish stakes) and I generally play pot limit. Haven't played in about 6 months now, but still have an account on Sky Poker lying around somewhere :P. Could give you a game on there if you're willing (haven't got facebook or a FullTilt account :().

Sky poker does have a tendancy to 'river' you all the time, no doubt. Still it was my first site and i made a small fortune from freerolls when I first started (well I thought so at the time :P). Problem is, now there are far better players around and free rolls have become brutal. Let me know what stakes you're talking about and maybe I'll set up an account (need to make sure you aren't planning on bankrupting me :D).

Re: Poker (NL Hold EM)

I play in the Live Pub Poker League, this is a fantastic deal, massive prizes & absolutely FREE to play. The Pub pays to attract extra clientele. Its actually played in some Casino's too (Gala Leeds tomorrow night & every thursday Night for instance). I have Played for 3 years now & won entry into BIG on-line Poker tournaments myself but others I have actually met have won holidays in the carribean, Monaco Grand Prix, paris weekends, Xmas shopping in Europe etc etc. Actually know 5 people locally who won holidays in Las Vegas with between $500 & $2000 dollars expenses. While there a Guy I know really well LPPL member of Pub Poker League in W.Yorkshire, won over $74,000 dollars in Vegas.

site is http://livepubpokerleague.com/. Ask on the forum they are very welcoming. There is a boat load of them over in Vegas rigjht now the thread is "LPPL in Las Vegas 2010!!!!!!!!!" & some have won large amounts of dosh already

Last year Steve Bradbury nickname El Donko Grande finished 7th in a World Series of Poker Event, while actually on last years LPPL Las Vegas Holiday!

It is absolutely FREE No JOKE (LPPL= LIVE PUB POKER LEAGUE) It's Nationwide & Played for points NOT POUNDS til you come to the Finals every 2 months & you Can & DO WIN Prizes with the possibility of massive Prizes such as Vegas / Ireland Holiday Poker Tournaments! NL Texas Holdem of course.

Sounds a bit too big time for me! :o

I used to play quite a lot around 2-3 years ago but have much less time these days to play the satellites and the main tourneys which follow (that's usually quite a huge time commitment). If I get back into it, I might give it a try :)

Give me a shout when you're next planning to go on and fancy a game (still getting used to the layout having set up an account - Username...Smartdoc - off course :P)

"Sounds a bit too big time for me!"

Believe me it isn't, it's like...

You start kicking a ball round the park with your mates as a 10 year old BUT you still have a chance of one day playing in the WC Final & scoring the winner in your mid twenties. Ordinary LPPL League games are IDEAL for begginers & are welcomed as such & that's where you start learning, get better & all end up better poker players, for the experience. Ideal learning ground, with NOTHING in terms of £'s to lose!

Re: Poker (NL Hold EM)

Sorry if it sounds like spam. I'm equally enthusiastic about SM AND LPPL & feel part of both communities. So would like both communities to enjoy them both too, if its ther thing.

Actually there are 2 Exclusive/Private SM Gameworlds where LPPL players are managers 43 in the LPPL Football League Championship & a 2nd one just started up which is about 50% full so far. It's great playing poker against someone in the pub while you both wait for your SM match result to come in, so you can banter about it face to face. Many LPPL players play in different set-ups too, I'm in 7.

Try LPPL if you like or don't its no skin off my nose BB.

Re: Poker (NL Hold EM)

I play poker myself aswell but this thread seems like spam to me... is it?

'' Come to this site and play here! its really amazing etc etc '' .. I tend to call that spam..

Any watch High Stakes Poker?

If you think its ''SPAM'' then dont comment on it  No body is asking for your opinion!!!!

Re: Poker (NL Hold EM)

uhh I'm interested in poker aswell .. but i'm checking/asking if this is a REAL poker thread or (another) spam poker thread.

I'll ask again.. anyone watch High Stakes Poker?

Sorry BB didn't realise you are not based in UK so no chance to even sample LPPL.

To answer your question Barry, I don't watch High Stakes Poker. Used to watch a lot of TV poker & play a little poker on web BUT now I'm on SM every day & out playing poker about 3 times a week, don't have time to do much else. Trying to fit-in WC.

Re: Poker (NL Hold EM)

Nice one! :)

Looking forward to see you progressing further and then seeing you on TV perhaps

Haha i wish :o

Out of the poker millions now with a round 2 bad beat

Considering saving up and buying directly into round 3/final table of either poker lounge, poker millions, wsop etc.... Lot of money to waste though if you dont make it :)

I'm promoting a new website, for beginners especially.

It's called bluff avenue (bluffave.com)

Very easy to use, play money only.

Has all sorts of casual home game options, such as rabbit hunting, showing a hole card, straddle, etc.

It's new, so not many people participate, but it's fun with friends.

I made some sidebets with friends on the outcome of the game, so the playmoney thing is relative.

Whenever you wanna clash, let me know.
