Unhappy Mertesacker considers leaving

players_112639.jpg

The German international Per Mertesacker has declared his intention to leave the club after the new manager El Jefecíto decided to sell the club's top youngsters Mesut Özil and Marko Marin. Mertesacker said that he doesn't like the changes that are happening at the club and that he wants to leave Werder Bremen.

The manager declared that he's willing to sell Mertesacker but deal must a part-exchange deal with new players coming in. The club is thought to be after a centre midfielder and a defender. So far there hasn't been too much interest on Mertesacker but El Jefecíto is confident that a club with the right offer will come along before the start of the new season.

Palermo are looking for a wing or RM U-25.

Miccoli and Cavani can go for a replacement + wing/RM.

Kjaer can go for a wing/RM + someone else.

I can use Migliaccio/Guana + Liverani/Budan/Succi for a 87+ wing/RM.

Rubinho can go for 12M or a wing/RM.

Pastore is not for sale.

Very frustrated by some managers simply ignoring bids... You know there is the 'REJECT' button if you're not interested in the deal

I know the feeling

Re: Gold Championship 120 Match Reports / Transfers Thread

Thought the first game would have been on Saturday, so had a quick look on Sunday morning to see if anybody had quit because they lost their first game. :P Then I realised it hadn't, so for some reason I took D.C. United. Then noticed 5 minutes later that Valencia had been quit

Anyway, 3 signings made so far and a few more accepted. Abdoulaye Meite joins from West Brom for £2.75m, Jonathan Franks from Middlesbrough for £950k, and Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny for £2m.

Accepted are free agent George Friend for £950k, luckily still not added to Doncaster's squad ;), and 4 Swiss players in Alessandro Ciarrocchi, Gianluca D'Angelo, David Chiumiento and Moreno Costanzo.

Things going very quietly in Roma. Still many players available for p/e. De Rossi, Mexes, Juan, Perrotta, Totti, Pizarro all available for 2 for 1 deals. I'm not overly concerned about age, however I wont accept players who are probably beginning their last season.

1. FC Koln;

Still plugging away in my quest to create an all German team. That means that all non-German players, except Geromel and Petit, can leave for cash offers.

Geromel and Petit can leave for a P/e that includes one or two German players.

Podolski is also available for two good 88+ German players and one has to be a Fwd.

Bayern have been busy in the close season bringing in several new faces. Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Aguero, Wesley Sneijder, Per Mertesacker, Walter Samuel, Marko Marin, Goran Pandev, Mario Balotelli, Davide Santon, Felix Kroos, Milan Badelj and Matej Delac have all signed. Delac has since been placed on the loan list in order to get first team football.

It is believed Bayern are on the hunt for a central midfielder and are likely to use the likes of Klose, Toni, Sosa, Van Buyten and Braahfied as bait. Rumours have also been circulating that Demichelis may also be set to leave the club if Bayern can find another defender to replace him.

Bayern have released a statement that Thomas Muller, Toni Kroos and Holger Badstuber are not available at any price.

Benfica 3-1 Maritimo

Opening game goals for two debutants with Yakubu and the sub Jovetic getting on the score sheet. Wasent the strongest looking Benfica team but still a good one, throughout the game Benfica looked outstanding with Luis Filpe being the highlight grabbing a goal and bagging the man of the match.

Game started well for the home team when man of the match Filipe curled a shot past Pecanha, Benfica never looked under pressure and comfortable throughout, New manager Evans rested alot of players for the big european tie on Monday against Napoli but we did see the new big names at Estadio Da Luz when Diego Forlan and Steven Jovetic appeared on the 60th minute, Both looked really good with Jovetic getting himself on the scoresheet.

Kalou tops goalscoring charts as Bremen trash HSV

.......Werder Bremen 4 - 0 Hamburger SV

Kalou 2' 16' 78'................................

Van Bommel 81'..............................

A season opener at Weserstadion offered goals and good entertainment as Werder Bremen took a comfortable win over Hamburger SV. Salomon Kalou started his career at Werder Bremen very convicingly with 3 goals. He now shares first place in the goalscoring charts with Luca Toni who also got on the scoresheet three times on the opening day of the season. This is what El Jefecito, the Werder Bremen manager had to say about the game: "Our players played very well together and they understood what I want from them. I am very pleased with the result but we need to keep our feet on the ground because it was just a single game and the schedule for the beginning of the season isn't too good for us."

Wiese

Ottl

Benayoun - Altintop - Van Bommel - Pranjic

The start of the new German season kicked off with a bang as two of the title favourites faced off in a breathtaking match. Guiseppe Rossi scored a debut goal to send Leverkusen and their fans wild. Their celebrations were soon muted though as Bayern debutant Igor Denisov equalised and only a minute later hitman Luca Toni put München ahead.

Their joy was also shortlived however as Kucher equalised straight from the restart. This only seemed to infuriate the visitors, and in particular Toni who grabbed his 2nd following a dubious onside call from the linesman. A minute later though there was no doubt about this one as Toni grabbed a superb 7 minute hat-trick with a fantastic overhead kick. 4-2 it was at half time and it was to stay that way for a long time.

In the 75th minute Bayern brought off hat-trick hero Toni and debutant Pandev and replaced them with fellow debutants Balotelli and Marin. Balotelli made an immediate impact as he set up Wesley Sneijder who scored to make it 5-2 and with an almost identical pass slipped through Marin for his debut goal. Leverkusen grabbed a late consolation through subsitute Pizarro but it was too little too late as Bayern took all 3 points.
