Dunfermline 2 - 0 CELTIC

Dumped by Dunfermline:( :( sees Celtic's second defeat of the season.Kev's Celts may becoming over confident in their quest for a domestic treble. With a lot of points still to be won and still 10 games to go it's a long way yet!!!

Only upside was rivals Rangers defeat to Livi which means the gap still remains 11 points:cool:

América de Cali 1-3 Boca Juniors

Finally a win for Boca, they had went on a run of 4 straight defeats, the three points sees them stay in 13th place in the league.

Boca absolutely dominated the game and I mean dominated it B)

26% possession 74%

6 shots on goal 38

4 shots on target 15

America had Manuel Galarcio sent off in the 8th minute of the game which always put them on the backfoot.

Marco Canchila actually put America in the lead on the 12th minute mark but Boca's dominance paid off and with goals from:

Fernando Gago (14)

Javi Martinez (26)

Piotr Trochowski (47)

It turned out to be an easy win for Boca, what away to end a loosing streak :)

Fiorentina 2-3 Palmero

Palmero moved up into the Champions Cup after a convincing win over Fiorentina away. Palmero went 3-0 up in the first hald after goals from Luiz Washington, Eugenio Corini and Marago. Washington smashed a shot into the roof of the net, then Corini heads home after Perez's cross. Then Marago whipped the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the box.

Fiorentina got two in the second half. Ezquerro and Motta.

The table now looks like this:

Pos Team P W D L F A GD Pts

1 Lazio 29 18 5 6 81 43 38 59

2 Juventus 29 17 6 6 55 25 30 57

6 Bari 29 14 8 7 48 35 13 50

7 Fiorentina 29 14 4 11 53 34 19 46

From this, the Serie A title looks like it is possible. The Champions Cup looks possible if they can keep up their form as of late.

Lazio 1-2 Palmero

Palmero put up a spirited copmeback in the second half to beat top of the table Lazio. Ze Roberto headed home a corner just after half time. Apart from that the Palmero defence had a sound game. 63 minutes in the ball fell to full back Gustavo Nery. There looked to be no immidite threat, but he rounded one player and unleashed a thunderbolt, which flew straight into the top corner! With 10 minutes left the Lazio fans were getting edgey as Palmero dominated. Lazio almost won the game if it hadnt been for Ochoa who tipped over what looked to be a trademark Beckham free kick. Palmero countered after the corner. Pizzaro smashed one towards goal, but the keeper punched it clear. The rebound fell to Davivd Di Michelle who placed it past the keeper to cap a great come back.

This win leaves Palmero certain of SMFA Shield compettition next season, but qualification top the SMFA Cup is what the club shall aim for.

FORZA MILAN !

AC Milan have appointed Ex FC Koln coach Adam Johnson as there new manager. Johnson was delighted to take this post and can boast a team containing some of the best players. However Johnson has expressed his hatrid for the last manager who has kept 4 goal keepers in a squad of 18, played three of them outfield all year meaning milan are bottom of Seria A with 5 games remaing. To stay up Milan must least win 4 of the remaining 5 games. Johnson will also launch a UEFA investigation into the transfer between the previous Milan manager and Alan Neller of Liverpool. For some bizarre reason AC Milan bought Xabi Alonso for 60 million plus Pirlo :mad: .

Johnson has had bids accepted for Torres (93), Pablo (93) and his former Koln star Navas (90)

Fans are hoping Johnson can pull off a miracle

Boca Juniors 1-3 Velez Sarsfield

Another poor display from Boca

Despite being on a good run Boca do what they usually do....suffer an easy defeat.

Boca conceded 3 goals (Santiago Bianchi - 2 and Steve Kabba) before Piotr Trochowski regained some pride for the home side.

So Boca's on-off season continue, fans will be glad that the season is almost over, Boca are currently 9th in the league table with only 4 games to go :)

Bari 2-5 Palmero

Palmero completed the double over Bari for the season. Palmero went one down after 15 minutes, but Mark Bresciano pulled Palmero back on 18 minutes with a trademark free kick. David di Michelle put Palmero on front with a chip which reminded people of Wayne Rooneys against Pompy  . Bari got one back just after half time. Claudio Pizzaro put Palmero back on front with a soaring volley. Palmero continued to dominate the play and got another well deserved goal. Gustavo Nery charged forward from centre back and put a diving header in at the far post. Then, a defensive mix up allowed Palmero's top scorer to get another goal, taking his season total to 13.

With 4 games to go the Serie A looks like this:

Santos 1-2 Boca Juniors

Good win for Boca

A good win for Boca tonight, beating 2nd placed Santos is a hard job but they managed to do it.

Fernando Gago got the first goal for Boca, the much wanted youngster scored a 25 yard screamer to send the Boca fans wild.

Boca6.jpg

Aging striker Tore André Flo drew Santos level just after half time after his long range strike ended up in the back of the net.

But it was Boca's night and a goal from Javi Martinez was enough to give Boca all three points.

Boca are still in 9th place in the table with 3 games to go.

After the game the Boca manager had this to say about Fernando Gago's future at the club:

"Fernando is staying at the club, Barcelona have been in contact regarding the player but I told them that he isn't for sale. I think their offer was around the £20 million mark but I rejected it without hesitating. I see him as a player with great potential and he will become a valuable asset to the club, he won't be going anywhere."

LEAGUE division two

Cardiff City 1 - 4 Birmingham City

16th June

The blues did themselves a huge favour by ousting fellow promotion chasers Cardiff in the own backyard. Birminghams midfield made the difference with David Dunn scoring twice and Rasmus Wurtz efforts being added to by Joetex Frimpong.

Birmingham City 0 - 0 Ipswich Town

20th June

A poor showing at home for the blues made all the hard work of beating Cardiff look a waste. This stalemate had little in the way of excitement with only four attempts on target.

Cameron Jerome is sidelined for one week with an injury.

Sheffield United 1 - 0 Birmingham City

23rd June

Another poor game witnessed by the supporters with only one man standing out on the park. Danny Webber who scored the winning goal was the only man to get rated over 7 and deserved the MOM award.

Birmingham City 2 - 1 Nottingham Forest

27th June

Birmingham got back to winning ways but left it late in the second half to stage a comeback. One down after eleven minutes against the leagues bottom club it took a first goal for Pat Galaz and supersub Pauleta to get on the scoresheet to turn the result around.

Southend United 1 - 0 Birmingham City

30th June

Blues missed out on another chance to get into the top three as they lost out to relegation threatened Southend. The only saving grace for Birminghams patchy form is the teams above seem to also be suffering. Jamal Campbell-Ryce scored the winner on 39 to dissapoint the visitors.

Paulettas future at Birmingham is in doubt as a bidding war may begin. So far Parma have put in £3mill and with Blues in the red will they accept.

Birmingham City announcement

Pauleta heading for pastures new

33_pauleta.jpg

Portugeuse striker Pauleta has been a big fish in a small pond at Birmingham this season. Since joining from Paris St Germain last season for £7.5m he may be heading out of St Andrews.

15goals in 32appearances has the blues hoping to reach divison one as they lie two points adrift of promotion with three games to go.

Manager LeamingtonSteve has told SM.com that he is willing to offload the striker at the end of the season if the blues are not promoted. However he also stressed he may still sell if the right offer comes in.

Valued at £1.5million, Parma have bidded £3million but again LS has said that money isnt key, we need to replace him so perhaps a striker rated 86/87 may suffice.

A decision from Birmingham has been scheduled for 12th July after the last ball is kicked and the team have returned from Sheffield.

CURRENT BIDS

Parma £3million
