dantheman90 29
Re: Gold Championship 1 News Gretna secure one of their greatest deals yet by signing Phil Bardsley (25,87) for Chairman Value from unmanaged Parma. Phil originally started in the Scottish League but made 7 appearances in as many seasons and looks forward to a return. Although his AvP figures are quite low everywhere he has been, Gretna hope that this will not be an issue! John Ruddy (24,83) is also another latest signing. He should rise to 85 due to Norwich being promoted and if he holds first choice in the Prem who knows what can happen!

S04 9,133
Re: Gold Championship 1 News Lamela & Marilungo Sign on At The Veltins Arena! The new era at Schalke has begun with the manager ABSOLUTELY delighted to have captured the signatures of the Argentine starlet and and Italian u21 International. The club are safe from relagation but next season I expect to be battling to stay in the division with the mass clearout of ageing players but it was needed. I still have 1 or 2 88 for sale 1 87 and a 85 D.Baker if interested drop a bid not looking for a lot of cash or a decent youngster would do.
AsianInvasian 4,266
Re: Gold Championship 1 News Yayyyyyy, Shakhtar beat Teb's Spartak 3-2 at home and cut the gap to 4 points and 25 goals. Its a shame I've thrown away stupid points this season and the win will probably not mean anything. Diarra, Modric and Badstuber grabbing the goals before Spartak tried to mount a comeback through Cambiasso and Lampard.

Up next is none other than the mighty Bayern Munich in which we will need some sort of a miracle to get even a point.
Astan 736
Re: Gold Championship 1 News The Independiente manager joined 2 weeks ago, sold the club's best 6 players for cash and now leaves. This is how you wreck a club. I wish new managers would have to manage small clubs for a bit or manage in weak setups before they go to GC 1 and wreak havoc.
Stifler 11,444
Re: Gold Championship 1 News MID-SEASON MOVES @ RED STAR Looking to make a few moves - the above players are all fair game and ideally I am looking to give 2 or 3 of these for a player of higher standard. Also open to 1 for 1's for either older higher rated or younger lower rated prospects.
Roddy 170
Re: Gold Championship 1 News Blackburn has beaten Chelsea 2-1 in a massive win for the club. With the Rovers sitting in last place and Chelsea in 4th this could be the biggest upset of the season. In a match dominated by Chelsea, Blackburn's 1st goal came through Ignacio Scocco in the 9th minute, beating the trap and then putting it past Petr Cech and into the net. Chelsea then got their reply through Giampaolo Pazzini in the 21st minute with a magnificent curling shot that left Julio Cesar shocked. The game was then taken by the throat by Chelsea who relentlessly fired off shots on goal but were continually denied by Julio Cesar, until Nuno Gomes popped up and scored the winner for the Rovers with 14 minutes left. The win for Blackburn is just their 2nd in 11 outings and might help in their quest to stay in division 1. The loss for Chelsea drops them into 5th place and 2 points behind Derby County. Roddy 170
Re: Gold Championship 1 News Only a matter of days ago, GC1 was rocked when last placed Blackburn Rovers beat Chelsea 2-1 and today everyone has been shocked again with Blackburn beating 2nd placed Liverpool 1-0. A single goal gave the Rovers their 2nd win in 2 outings and added to hope that Blackburn would avoid relegation. Despite 1st choice keeper Julio Cesar being dropped for the game, Liverpool could not put one past Olivier Sorin. The only goal came from Nuno Gomes just before half time, hitting a sweet ball which beat Pepe Reina and went into the bottom corner. Blackburn dominated possession and lead in every aspect of the game and showed the 1st division that they are good enough to compete against the worlds elite. Blackburn face Colchester United at home on Wednesday.

Defeats to FC Union Berlin,Bayern Munich and Champions Eintracht Frankfurt have seen Kaiserslauten slip to 2nd in the League with seven games to go. Wins against Ezerbeguie and Wolfsburg have however kept us in with a chance of Champions League football if we can find some form. With only four points seperating the top five in Germany it promises to be a exciting end to the season as all the big boys in TSV, Eiuntracht,Dortmund and Bayern Munich converge. Injuries are proving to be a real bug bear as we lost another top performer in Toni kroos for seven weeks and with M'Bia also out for a long period thats two of my better players out at just the wrong time, we have however managed to get Lisandro in on loan from Spartak although im hoping he picks it up a bit as been a tad dissapointing (TBF so has all the team) in the last few games. Kaiserslauten did progress to the QF of the German Cup after overcoming Hamburg on penalties. The second string side managed to keep there nerve and a heroic performance from substitute Keeper Janot saw us through to the last eight where we face Bochum.

Aue defeated Germ's new-look Schalke side last night to climb to 12th in the table and are almost assured of safety. Following Silvio's remarkable rise to 88, Aue can now easily field an 87-rated first XI without any loan signings! Aims for the rest of the season are to finish in the top ten and maybe, just maybe, win the German Cup.

Our 3-1 win in Amsterdam proved enough in the end as we progress on away goals. David B's Dunfermline await in the Semi's - a side that cannot be underestimated despite having a top rated player of 86. On their run to this stage, they have beaten the likes of Arsenal, Rangers, Frankfurt and Porto - an achievement in itself.
Roddy 170
Re: Gold Championship 1 News Blackburn has fought out a 1-1 draw against Colchester. A game that could make or break the Rovers season was a real anti-climax, especially after wins against Chelsea and Liverpool in recent weeks. The game was even throughout with Blackburn having slightly more possession and 4 more shots on goal. Blackburn opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a goal from Nuno Gomes but with just 9 minutes remaining, LB Nicky Shorey beat Julio Cesar to draw level. Nuno Gomes has scored 5 goals in 6 appearances since crossing from Benfica mid season. Blackburn travel to Goodison Park to play 6th placed Everton on the weekend.
