Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread

Fulham have beaten off very stern competition to seal the signing of Anderson.

Im very pleased to secure him using Charles , I know hes going down to 88 but Charles is going down to 87 and Charles is failing at Villa while Anderson is younger and failing at United which isnt so bad :P

Anderson will be a lot more useful in my midfield as I never used Charles or the other guy :P

A player of Anderson's calibre deserves to go to a club like Fulham :)

Ben-SCFC (Forum) steered Tranmere Rovers to victory against West Ham United.

Tranmere Rovers outclassed West Ham United and beat them 3 - 2 in their Division 2 fixture.

Atsu, Dević and Machado were amongst the goalscorers.

Great win for us tonight against West Ham, We go straight up to 10th.

Away to Rochdale next in the Cup where we will make 9 or 10 changes, more than likely get knocked out but Im not bothered about the cup competitions this season.

Next league game we play Watford away.

Stephen Thompson earned a draw with Barnsley against Birmingham City.

Barnsley dominated much of the play against Birmingham City but could only manage a 2 - 2 draw in their Division 3 fixture.

Lisandro was on the scoresheet for his side.

The luck deserts us again, by far the better side was leading 2-0 at one stage before Brum pulled it back. Lisandro missed a penalty which would have claimed his hatrick. Birmingham score with their only two shots on target.

Up next in the league Chesterfield at Oakwell.

Mark Preston earned a draw with Newcastle United against Crystal Palace.

Newcastle United dominated much of the play against Crystal Palace but could only manage a 2 - 2 draw in their Division 2 fixture.

Lewandowski scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Pjanić was also on the scoresheet for his side.

First dropped points of the season. I came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 and had an 87th minute goal chalked off for off-side. Remain top of division 2 still.

The decision to start Teixera today was proven correct when hi scored in the 12th minute. Evans also got in on the act with a curling effort. Defoe netting another goal, looking a lot more consistent than the man he replaced for sure.

All in all a very good match for us and a much needed win to kick start the season!

HARTLEPOOL 2 MILLWALL 2

An excellent away point against 3rd placed Hartlepool

Millwall fought hard after going a goal down on 25 mins.

ELIAS & MALOUDA scored to put Millwall 2-1 up, a late goal by BENT levelled it at 2-2.

The Gillingham win on the day of the debut of the new manager.

The team has done a close game against Colchester United, in which the score ended 2-0 to the visitors, who harvested their second win this season, the first with the new manager.

Some of the reinforcements have debuted in this game, as in the case of Juan Arango (author of one of the 2 goals), Raul Jimenez, and 2 of the players assigned (Jenkinson and Sorensen).

Chesterfield 4 Shorpe United 0

A fine bounce back win for Chesterfield after we lost to Birmingham City. Spireites put 4 past the Irons and kept a clean sheet, probably the best possible result for us.

Italian striker Alberto Paloschi grabbed a double, Leon Britton grabbed on but it was returning Turkish Mehmet Ekici who grabbed a goal and an assist along with the man of the match and a 10 rating, our first!

A strong debut for Rodrigo in replacing Sulejmani and he impressed with an assist.

Next up is promotion chasing Barnsley who are in a bit of a rough patch but won't be any easier

defenders are not based on goals or assists, but it helps if they get them

you'll notice that sunderland defenders this week, for example, are all rated at 7.00

whereas the TOTD defenders played better with ratings between 8.00 and 9.00

hope this helps clarify

if defender rated same, the one that got assst or goal etc would get in

hope this clarifies buddy
