Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread

Been touting Robben out for a few weeks with no luck. This offer arrived and i couldnt really say no. Been in desperate need of a quality keeper for a long time now and ive finally got my man between the sticks. Villa should also have some life in him for a few more seasons upfront alongside suarez aswell. All in all im happy with the dealings :) whatever you lot may think :P

I'd say you got the better of that exchange by far

Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread

Hope this isn't a sign of things to come' date=' simply shouldn't happen in 7046 [/quote']

Must have been reported by a manager

both chairmen agreed the deal, so it was within the range/limit for deal to go thru

both managers happy with deal - I don't see a problem

if however, one team gets better deal than the other - then how can both chairmen accept it in the first place, Surely if that was the case then one chairman would not be happy and deal wouldn't go thru until deal was altered to suit

BARNSLEY best goalscorer last season was LISANDRO with 19

BARNSLEY 2nd best scorer was ARNAUTOVIcwith only 10

DEFOE scored 20 - so I was looking forward to him playing for obvious reasons

not to be

So really fella with that funding the question is why have you won so few trophies so far, not why you have won so many as you have ;)
Transfer Message

Arsenal have made an offer to Middlesbrough to swap Frank LAMPARD and Hugo MALLO for Iker CASILLAS .[/qUOTE]Searching for the "Will not deal with a known cheat in a gameworld who should have banned for life" option but can't find it. Shame on all of you who have done.

NORTHAMPTON LOOK TO YOUTH FOR FUTURE SUCCESS

As the Cobblers' manager, The Butcher of Montevideo, faces his first full season at the helm - he expressed his satisfaction with the youthful squad on the club's books.

Northampton players met back at Sixfields for an early pre-season team talk

I've always said, you win nothing with geriatrics who have lost their teeth and shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Our lads can dribble - but they can also drool, which is important when you are employing a strict man-marking system - as we do.

It's important with young professionals that they play with a sense of freedom - and little Johnny, our captain, embodies that. You should see him with his Buzz Lightyear uniform on - he's pure class.

I've been working on ways in which we can neutralise the efforts of some of the more experienced sides that we'll be facing. I'm thinking of using projectile vomiting and diaper changes frequently throughout the season - particularly at set pieces. Our pre-match meals are key to thsi strategy. What goes in one end as broccoli and ham broth comes out the other end as strontium 3 radioactive slime - and is virtually unplayable

Walsall continue to show a profit simply due to the fact we stay active in the external risers market. The second small clubs sit still in the market they lost money rapidly. Very rare we sell off a 1st teamer for cash as we simply don't have to, either that or my accountant is on the fiddle ;)

Selling off the big earners and replacing them with lesser rated players has paid off, despite not quite achieving promotion. Didier Drogba averaged a good goal to game of 10 goals in 18 games, however Snodgrass ended the season in a rick vein of form, and is on less than half the wages. Jamie Vardy was signed as a free agent and contributed 6 goals in 5 starts.

Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread

I signed Maxi Rodriguez for Gillingham in exchange for Ricardo Vaz Te and Brain Ferreira. I then sold him for £6.8m in order to raise funds so that the new manager was in the black when I left. Yesterday Gillingham bought him back for £6.1m.

the links to each Div wagebill is the total for end of season 8

the wagebill at Barnsley at present (after season 9) is latest figures shown

so both wagebills shown for Barnsley are

end of season 8 and end of season 9
