Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread

Ayew grabs all 3 assists and we spread the goals around. Gave away a cheap penalty though! Only had 3 shots on target and scored them all, probably harsh on John but I did think this formation should beat his :P

The match ended 0 - 0 between Aldershot Town and Coventry City in their Division 3 fixture.

Muslera had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match.

To be honest, i was expecting to win this one... We were playing at our home, where we are very strong, and we played same tactic and same instrutions that lead Hartlepool to beat Coventry confortably last week, but it did not worked so well for us unfortunately... Despite we dominating the match, we failed to score. Muslera was important to guarantee us a draw atleast.

Stephen Thompson steered Manchester City to victory against Ipswich Town.

Manchester City outclassed Ipswich Town and beat them 3 - 0 in their Division 2 fixture.

Di María scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Messi and Fellaini were also amongst the goalscorers.

A great performance and result against the then league leaders. We have now replaced Ipswich at the top of the table.

Messi now has 6 goals to his name whilst Di Maria has been a real stand out player so far. Hopeully we can keep this sort of form up.

Next league game is against Wigan at the weekend.

Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread

We got a 1-1 draw last night , I felt deserved as we stop Manchester United playing OUR game :P. Never thought I would have to actively counter my own tactics and I found it really hard lol.

And I finally managed to get a new player from the new player list as its been hard with Notts county lurking. His name is Devante Cole, I think hes got a lot of talent and hes Andy Coles son so its good omens. And for 900k considering the prices of others its a bargain :P

Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread

Been a pretty rough start to the campaign at Banks's Stadium. A 4-2 defeat at the hands of Arsenal makes it 1 point from the opening 12 but considering we've faced Arsenal, Man Utd, Sunderland and Everton in our opening 4 fixtures I wasn't expecting to much. Hopefully now we can push on starting with Saturday's trip to Bolton.

In transfer news looks as tho John Guidetti may be joining us from external. Only 22 and valued a little over 3m so well worth a punt IMO, paying 4m and 2 nobodies to hopefully beat off comp from Ipswich.

Un Lucky mate was a closer game then people would think, but nice to see Torres finally finding the net, as our lead ST he needs to hit the ground running and just is not him and Villa are being weigh up and just ant getting the job done this season.

Alonso is making a quick impact to my squad four games and a avr of 8 a solid signing and a solid leader for the squad.

Anyone intrested in Lord Bentner the superstar can leave for pennys will take any offer for him may even give him away as hes asking to much from my team these days so who wants a god of football.

Listening to offers on any player at Birmingham at the minute.

Fernando is highly wanted by a lot of clubs and I want the best possible deal for him. Now that he is off his TB I want loads interest and msgs about him.

18/20m+ and 2 youth players is what I'd like but lets talk.

You only recently signed him for £8m, beating Northampton (I know, I bid.) Bit unfair to sell him when he's out on loan.

Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread

The hamster is back in his cage and the wheel is turning albeit very slowly.

Strange days on the Liverpool front, last season we were tight at the back and didn't give away many goals but in the last two games we have conceded six, we have scored six as well so it is not the worst situation but it is slightly worrying.

Fist off we had a 4-4 draw in the CL with Dortmund, Ribery grabbed a hat-trick for us.

We went 2-0 up early against Swindon and personally I thought we were away to steamroller them but they came back and fought for a 2-2 draw to grab their first point of the season, well done to Paul and I hope it is the first of many points for you this season, Gomez was on the scoresheet for us again which is surprising, already scored 1 more than last seasons total in just a matter of a few games.

Two wins and two draws from the first 4 games is not exactly breathtaking but we usually start slow so it is a bonus, got a hard bunch of games coming up though with Spurs, Man United and Boro all in the near future along with our Merseyside rivals Everton, followed by transfer Kingpin Raz's Sunderland so we should know where we are at after a few weeks.

Der Kaiser steered Southampton to victory against Millwall.

Southampton outclassed Millwall and beat them 3 - 0 in their Division 4 fixture.

Joselu scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Rodelin and Taylor were also amongst the goalscorers.

A good win for Southampton away against Millwall,a match I thought we'd definitely lose.

Well played though Craig and nice squad.

Southampton are now in 7th place with 7 pts after 4 games,3 pts behind leaders Sheffield Wednesday.

Also big thanks to Raz for loaning us Carlos Zambrano who will be starting all matches for us from here on.

D4: Oldham Athletic 4:2 Stockport County

Fantastic opportunity to pick up my first win in this setup and I blew it. We dominated the game but unfortunately Oldham scored on all 4 shots on target.

Stockport County's last win in all formats was 17 games ago. Bad luck to Shrewsbury Town, our next opponent because I am due for a win!

I'm feeling lucky this weekend :)

Mario Gomez is back in the Germany squad to play in the friendly against Argentina and the first Euro game against Scotland, hoping he has a good season for Fiorentina/Germany now he is back fit, to think I had him up for sale until recently this is good news.

Pfft bale player of the season.. What are you people on? Another case of reputation screwing over Suarez. Then again he's no longer my player so whatever :P

Actually pretty happy to win the underachievers award. Shows how high I've set the bar in recent seasons for people to see last season as such a bad one. Victim of my own success B)

Top work tho dan :)

Oh and which wise guy nominated me for team of the season lol! I'm looking at you dom ;)

Again, hell of a job Dan! Quality stuff, interesting and entertaining.

I just noticed better, the images with the top teams and top players of each division in the beggining are really amazing!

Just for the record, i'm not a 3-5-2 abuser Dan! :P I change my formation a lot.
