Re: Russian and Ukraine Player Analysis 2010

Please correct me if I'm wrong but from my memory Shovkovskiy has played all 3 games played so far this season & it was back in May that Koval last appeared. I looked at this myself recently before deciding to put Koval up for sale. Still think he has a great future tho (Only 18yo & 85 rated!) & may well buy him back later :)

Koval had 12 games last season in the league. Mainly down to Shovkovskiy being out. Given his performances last season also in the champions league and Europa puts him in a great position to grab the no 1 shirt.

It does seem that Kyiv have favoured Shovkovskiy at the start of this season and who knows what will happen. The Ukraine season tends to be very long and drawn out especially with European games so hopefully he will get some starts and progress.

Re: Russian and Ukraine Player Analysis 2010

Georgi Schennikov 88> 88

Alan Dzagoev 89> 89

You certain neither of these will rise?

Schennikov is unfortunately injured but he has been consistently playing since the last review. Not enough to hit 89? I heard Dzagoev is the darling of Russian football, the new Arshavin, but no rise to 90 then? CSKA are doing well this year too, gotta factor that in. I don't really know huge amounts about Russian football though unfortunately.

Both of these guys are free but heavily shortlisted in my world, just wondering if they'll rise as they could start for me if so. Lower wages if I get them now too.

Re: Russian and Ukraine Player Analysis 2010

Anzhi's ratings will be interesting, some of their lower-rated players could rise a lot, but on the flip-side some of the bigger players they've signed i'm guessing could drop? Balazs Dzsudzcak/Diego Tardelli i'm guessing could drop because of Anzhi's cap, whereas players who've been doing well for them such as Odil Ahmedov will presumably rise.

I don't do predictions though because i'm pretty clueless, so if someone would be bold enough that could be interesting :)

Re: Russian and Ukraine Player Analysis 2010

Bruno Alves 92> 92/91

Why he should drop ?

Perhaps it needs to be looked at the other way around: what are the reasons why he should keep his 92?

The highest rating amongst his Zenit team mates is 91. anyukov has maintained this for a long time. 92 is the highest, stand alone rating in Russia.

Zenit are champions, with CL games ahead of them. he'll be a regular, and he is ever present in his national team.

Looking at these factors, I think SM will be itching to give him a 91.

He torn some ligaments in his left Ankle, supposed to be coming back soon. He shouldn't drop, I hope he'll stay. He has 4 Assists and 1 goal this season, and is the main playmaker on the right side for Spartak.
