Latouche gives his verdict on the season ahead

The craze going around at the moment is managers are taking to twitter to give short sharp answers to questions. But Latouche being Latouche declined the chance to take part and has granted an exclusive interview with much more detailed answers to the questions that fans want to know.

So in every division , Who is going to challenge for the title?

Div 1 - Liverpool are definately the favourites ' date=' They have one of the most talented managers around and a brilliantly strong squad full of world class players just whether Dan is good enough to keep it going for a season. Spurs are going to be up there as always but how long can they rely on Bale and Rvp as imo his squad is getting weaker every season. And as much as it kills me I think Everton will challenge up there again. Sean has brought really well buying Benatia and Shawcross I do worry with Ramsey gone there is no spark in the CM role and will need his forwards to fire.

Div 2 - Manchester city I cant look past them , Steve is one of the best managers to have played the game. He is a great tactician and has the worlds best forward in his midst with Di maria in supply. Whether he has the motivation remains to be seen. Bristol city as well should be up there , John has done a great job and has built a solid team with a decent defence , midfield and with a little work up top should be challenging. Whether they can score the goals with Pelle will decide that.

Div 3 - Well my good friend at Birmingham went very close last season and I back him to win the league. Has the ratings and experience to do that. He is very courageous with his tactics and can score goals. The only thing that hinders him is his overbearing arrogance thinking hes Jose mourinho in disguise when hes barely a decent manager that may cost him in certain games if he can put that to one side he will be top 2 for sure. The other team is Wolves who I think has a team capable of winning the league too , Decent all round side with plenty of pace , power and with a creative spark in Hernanes they should do really well.

Div 4 - I think just 1 team that needs to be noticed as favourite even if I dont want him to win it is Bournemouth. He has a very very good team down there that has a brilliant goalscorer in Osvaldo and has stolen Cazorla from Arsenal. Decent defence , lots of spark and a goalscorer they should walk this poor division and if he dosent he should quit. Having said that I hope he dont :)

[/quote']

Who is going to struggle?

Div 1 - The first team that springs to mind is Bury ' date=' I think and hope to pray the fairytale story dies this season. I think they will struggle and suffer as they have a poor defence with no spark in the midfield. I think there GK will need to be very good to keep them out and Remy will need to score 20+ for them to have any chance. They have a fantastic chemistry but they seriously lack quality. Forest I dont know how they got promoted tbh they are such a poor team with 1 world class player I feel sorry for him to be honest Inesta not Mo. Again I think and hope they get relegated. And I think Boro will struggle too , How long can he rely on his tactics to save him? Not saying he will go down but he will be fighting it. He needs taken down a peg or 10.

Div 2 - Arsenal enough said , I think one team that wont meet expectation is Walsall I simply never been impressed by his managerial style and despite his team and should be challenging for the title I think he will fall well short. Wigan have employed the Devil of football management , quite possibly a newborn baby could have more about them than Elo does. I back them to from fighting near playoffs to going down just by his appointment. Dreadful excuse of a manager.

Div 3 - I think the one team that will fail to meet expectation is Aldershot , While I have a lot of respect for the manager down there , They showed theres a lot of work needed to be done to make sure they can compete. I think Machines hasnt done enough with the tactics or personal to make this happen hence why I think he will fail to meet expectation. Newcastle of course I like Mark but hes been dreadful :)

Div 4 - This league is full of poor managers , I cant be asked :)

[/quote']

Who is going to my main Rival this season?

I have lots of rivals! For some reason im not very well liked because I think they are jealous imbeciles. The only one that can hold a candle to me is Dan from Liverpool me and him have some very intense battles. He has everything and has a better team on paper but we have the spirit and a ton of creativity to beat anyone let alone a god damn scot! I will finish above him this season I have a good feeling.

Some people call you really arrogant ' date=' Who is the most arrogant manager you have ever come across? [/color']

Theres loads ' date=' Jooles is an insufferable old man who has won the league and not done anything since. Sop calls himself the best manager given the size of the club he was given is just a waste of space IMO and will never been known as a good manager. But the most arrogant manager who ive spoke a little about is Luis Veigas , In the beginning of his rein I seriously questioned his methods and skills as he looked like out of his depth but hes gotten a lot better built a squad but now hes gotten better his ego and arrogance has overwhelmed him to think hes Jose mourinho in disguise when really hes just a poor mans felix magath , Just that little crazy , likes his younger players and picks crazy formations. I think he will win his league and think hes talented but he likes to shout it out too much.

[/quote']

Who is going to be the most player to watch for Fulham this season?

It has to be James ' date=' He will light up the PL this season and will fire me to the title! [/quote']

What have you done to improve this squad?

Brought in the fantastic Sven Bender I think he will do very well here and playing alongside his brother Lars is going to be a fantastic experience for them both ' date=' Im very excited I could make it happen and we will see a player Fulham fans will love. Lars should improve as well with Sven alongside him. Vincent Aboukakar has come back to replace Muriel , He will become a very good player and hes one player Im very happy to bring back.

[/quote']

What is your expectation for Fulham?

Im going to come out and say it ' date=' I will try and go for the title as I have everything I need now to win the league so will be disapointed if we are not up there this season[/quote']

Thankyou very much Dom , All the best for the season :)

Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread

fulhamnights.gif

Latouche is bullish mood and all fired up!

Latouche has been getting back to old ways in a revealing interview which has been widely condemned by opposing managers but praised by the fans for his refreshing honesty to his approach. Latouche first of all spoke about the managers

Well im very sorry if ive offended any manager in my interview the other day. Oh wait I really dont give a damn! I speak the truth and I dont give two cents if you are offended and if you are not a spineless gutless coward like Ben from spurs or Noisygit are then come on here give an interview and say your peace if not shut the hell up! Im not about to be silienced any longer and will speak about the issues and injustices the fans want to hear! #Peopleschampion

Latouche people would say your attitude has changed from a man being sinking under the pressure of managing one of englands top clubs and now the team is looking as strong as ever and you seem to be very fired up again. What has changed?

Yes last season especially in the beginning was indeed the most difficult period ive ever had to battle through ' date=' But with help from certain people I was able to get over it and try and get the team back on track and we managed to survive comfortably. I managed to make a lot of improvements to the squad and managed to make some excellent signings recently. Im indeed fired up im sick of this great club ive managed to help take to a completely new level being seen as the best runner up team , Chokers and whatever insult you can throw! I promise , Me , the players and all staff involved will try harder than ever to change this injustice and take what we feel we deserve! But we need to put our money where our mouth is and this season I promise you we are going to give it our all as I WANT THE LEAGUE! [/quote']

Wow some strong stuff there but great to hear the belief is back. What will fellaini bring to Fulham as hes not your typical signing of flair and skill players you love.

First of all im delighted to bring Mauroaune Fellaini to Fulham hes served a great player for City last season but still feel theres a lot more to come. And what he brings? Ill answer that even tho its a really stupid question. He will bring height to a small team so when defending set pieces it will a bonus. He can play both DM ' date=' CM , AM which for our team is cruical but I will mainly use him in the AM role. He will bring a presence and power that will put fear into the other team. Hes a very under rated footballer and im confident despite his stigma he will do a very good job here! Having said that he will need to work hard as he will be behind in the pecking order to start off with till he proves his fitness to me :) [/quote']

ibrahima_balde.jpg

Ibrahima Balde: The most unwanted player in all of 7046

On the eve of the new season, the Forest manager could not take it any longer; he was frustrated with the transfer market and let it all out on one player:

I JUST WISH IBRAHIMA BALDE WOULD LEAVE! The stupid forward has been with us for over two years, since season 5, and has done nothing! Literally nothing! He has played a grand total of 5 games for us, recording two assists. When he came through the Atletico Madrid youth system and played for the first team, I was sure he was set to be a great African striker. But he's been in Russia for 2.5 years now, and nobody cares about players in Russia!!

Asked to articulate why he disliked Balde so much, as compared with some of the other members of the squad who get very little playing time, BigGameMo explained himself a bit:

I literally can do nothing with him. External clubs won't bid on him, and when they do it's a paltry 4.8-5 million, which is terrible for a 25 year old 87-rated striker. With SM's new rules, I can't loan him out, so he eats up 25k each matchday while doing nothing. Nobody respects the Russian league, especially if your player isn't at one of the Moscow clubs or Zenit, so I can't even offer Balde for players of the same rating or 2-3 points lower. And as our sixth-choice striker, he will never be needed. It's truly sad.

BigGameMo wrapped up the press conference with some more general observations about the squad and the transfer market:

We started out well in the transfer market but things have stagnated recently and it seems highly unlikely that we'll be able to get out of debt in time to make any meaningful deals. Cash across 7046 just seems a bit tight and even our best players aren't receiving the big cash bids we were hoping for. Nevertheless, the squad is strong enough as it is to fight for a top 10 spot in Division 1, and you never know what might happen transfer-wise as injuries and bad performances begin to affect other clubs.

Fans Worry About The Season Ahead!

With little transfer activity at Elland Road will it be yet another season away from the top flight? That's what the Leeds fans are talking about, and after missing out on a play off place on the final day of the season, some fans are now viewing the lack of activity in the market as a concern.

So far the Yorkshire side have brought in 7 players since the season finished, however the fans want a big name signing to join their ranks in the push for Premiership football. The fans also worry about the lack of money at the club, but manager Joe Robinson was quick to defend the clubs transfers, but also felt the same pain the fans do.

It's no secret our fans want the best players, and the players to help the club compete at the highest level, but the guys we have brought in will help in the process of gaining promotion. Missing out last season has hurt us but it'll drive us forward and we'll not rest till we get what we aim to achieve.

One of the key problems for Leeds is the lack of money currently at the club, and with £12million being spent on De Guzman some see that to be too much. Only time will tell if this Leeds side has the making of a promotion chasing side, but with rumours of French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris possibly joining, it could help ease some of the fans fears

Thompson bemoans poor start in season opener

Manchester City captain John Terry started the game from the substitute's bench

Division 2 title favorites Manchester City suffered a shock opening day defeat to manager Steve Thompson's former side Tranmere Rovers with the game finishing 2-1 at the Etihad stadium.

The shock news pre match was the decision to leave club captain John Terry on out of the starting XI with highly rated Luke Shaw coming into the side at left back and French international Mamadou Sakho reverting to his favored center back position. New signing Etienne Capoue was included among the substitutes whilst Brazilian Givanildo Hulk took the place of the now departed Marounane Fellaini.

City started the match poorly and found themselves behind with just 13 minutes gone courtesy of a header from German veteran striker Miroslav KLOSE 0-1. That gave the visitors a real sense of belief and it got even better just 5 minutes later when they made it 0-2 Gelson FERNANDES the scorer with a neat finish after making some space.

Tranmere took the lead into half time mainly down to the heroics of both keepers but on 63 minutes City finally broke the resistance to make it 1-2 German international Thomas MÜLLER was the scorer firing home from long range.

Many expected the home side to push on but in truth it never materialized and Tranmere were able to hold out relatively comfortably to take the 3 points back to the Wirrall. FULL TIME 1-2.

A disappointed Steve Thompson gave his verdict post match......

"Not good enough from start to finish i am bitterly disappointing with both the performance and result. We handed Tranmere the game with our poor start and to be fair they handled us well.

It was a very stop start game lots of ly fouls that the referee blew up for and it was difficult to get any sort of rythem going.

When we got the goal you would expect us to try and push on but it never really happened and we made it a comfortable final half hour which is disappointing.

We have to try and move on from this and focus our attentions to the next game against Bristol City. We have the squad capable of winning this division it's now about putting in the performances that prove that and that needs to start on Wednesday at Bristol"
