Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread

Wolfsburg snap up striker Max Kruse from 'Gladbach on a four year deal.

"The Wolfs" paid Kruse's release clause of 12 million euros.

Wolfsburg's Klaus Allofs confirmed the transfer this Sunday afternoon.

Max scored 11 goals in 30 games for Borussia Monchengladbach.

Very good transfer for Vfl Wolfsburg; getting one of Gladbach's best players. B)

What is happening to Bayern recently' date=' 3 straight loses it might be[/quote']

I know, ever since the CL first leg defeat they have been awful, well not winning much. I'd say pep will be out on on his way to City.

Dortmund dropping more points also. Giving Hummels and Gundogan more of an excuse to come to United I guess.

Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread

Out of curiosity, how does the CL/EL system work in germany in relation to the national cup?

Im asking this because im curious as to whether Borussia actually need to get that 6th spot or if the current 7th spot will be enough.

The cup, in italy, grants access to europe to the winner, and if the winner is already in a league spot that grants him a place, then that cup spot will automatically go to the next in line in the league, was wondering if the same system works in germany aswell. Because that would mean that, even if Borussia finish 7th (they must finish at least 7th for this to be possible) they would get Europe, no matter the cup result, because, if they win, they get automatic access, but if they Lose, Wolfsburg already is in a CL spot, so the cup spot will go to the 7th in the league, which is still Borussia.

If this is the case, then all they need is to not lose against Bremen and next season they will have EL

The winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga.

Hope this helps.

Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread

If Dortmund finishes on 7th, they will play in Europa League (qualification),

even if Wolfsburg wins the Cup final because the Wolfs are qualified for UCL.

So a draw against Werder is enough for Borussia to be able to play in Europa.

Typical Dortmund signing if it goes through' date='such an underrated player. I assume he'll replace Gundogan role then?[/quote']

Not really. That should be Geis/Tielemans according to the reports. Most probably Geis.

Castro wil give more depth into the midfield since Kehl's retiring and Sahin/Sven are well known for being quite injury prone.

Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread

well, with this win Borussia qualified for the next EL (qualifiers i guess), due to the fact that they will be playing the Cup final.

Im still yet to see a luckier team than Augusta, beaten both Bayern and Gladbach due to 2 red cards, 1 for each opposing team.

Had there not been these red card fouls, Borussia would've been easely 6th.

Though i do hope Borussia win the Cup, would be a fitting goobye between Klopp and Dortmund

Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread

Dramatic end of season in Bundesliga:

Freiburg and Paderborn are the first two teams relegated;

Hamburg avoided direct relegation after a 2-0 win over Schalke

and will face 2.Bundesliga's Karlsruhe SC in a two-leg play-off.

Stuttgart saved themselves miraculously after beating Paderborn 2-1.

Any Leverkusen fans around? Id like to know more about Leverkusen's Marc Brasnic, he's been beast in the U19 Leverkusen team with 27 goals in 29 matches, but didnt get a shot in the first squad. I was wondering is he considered like a talent at Leverkusen? What can we expect off of him next season? A loan? A shot in the first team?
