Goes to show how much German football has come over the years.Bayern have been there before but to have 2 German teams in the final its something else. I hope this puts the German league among the rest of Europe's top leagues in regards to world class playings wanting to come to the league and play in it. Some might say Dortmund are lucky to be there because of there win against Malaga, never the less well done to both sides.

Most definitely mate. It all started in 2000 after a terrible team or ours played badly at the EURO. In 2000 the German FA decided to overhaul our entire youth system. They introduced lots of things and put rules down every club has to abide to develop new talents. The last few years we finally benefited from that overhaul. Our youth system is top notch and this is where other nations are lacking behind. The last 10 years the Bundesliga clubs spend 70m Euros a year on average on the infracstructure of their youth centres. Right now we are probably 5+ years ahead in terms of youth development compared to England, Italy etc. Regarding the Bundesliga, we have a big disadvantage and that is money. Apart from Bayern who are rich due to decades of slick management, the majority of clubs aren't being able to offer the same money as clubs in the EPL do for example. Dortmund's highest earner gets around 4.5-5m Euros (Hummels, Götze, Reus). I don't even want to know how many mediocre EPL players get similar money if not more. In Germany the TV money gets marketed by the DFL (German Football League) and then somewhat evenly spread on the basis of a 4-year table. Last season Bayern earned about 25m with national tv money, the last in the list Augsburg earned 12.5m so about half. So the big clubs suffer in order to help the small clubs be competitive. Bayern could obviously earn way way more than 25m if they were allowed to market themselves. Compare that to Spain where the teams can market themselves individually and you see the difference is immense. Real and Barca have earned around 140m Euros each last season, the teams behind them like Valencia and Atletico around 40m and the rest basically nothing. So from the get-go the La Liga giants have more than 100m Euros more each season than Bayern has. And yet they still manage to operate at a loss. So this is the reason why we can't offer as high a wage a La Liga or EPL club can.

No point. All the players are still hung-over. That is gonna be such a boring game today with no value whatsoever. I am sure the German Football League hoped for something else when they scheduled it that late in the season.

Nope. Maybe they take him on their US-trip as all Bayern and Dortmund players will probably be missing there. But other than that, there is a certain Phillip Lahm, who is also captain of Germany, playing at that right-back position.

Schalke is 3 points up and better goal difference with 2 games to go. Schalke is gonna be 4th at the end of season too, it's a good thing.
