Re: Official Spanish La Liga Discussion Thread G Ronaldo would still be gutted if one of the other Ronaldos scored lol.

Re: Official Spanish La Liga Discussion Thread

Hart is probably the 2nd GK in the world atm..he's absolutely phenoemanl but not talking about this in La Liga thread.

Agree Casillias is better then him but Valdes is quality aswell....I can say he had a better season then Neuer(overall) so...

Casillas is a world class gk, Valdes is awful along with Hart, Although Hart is decent and has potential but he's knowhere near class yet.

Glad Real Madrid won, Now I'd like to see Chelsea beat Barca only reason being I don't know the last time barca have been beat twice in a row :P

Re: Official Spanish La Liga Discussion Thread

Hopefully Chelsea beat Barca, Bilbao win the Copa Del Rey and Real go on to win La Liga. Don't hate Barca but just don't want to see them win everything again. They were becoming the Roger Federer/Ronnie O'Sullivan/Sebastian Vettel of football, by that I mean their successes weren't celebrated as much as they were expected to win.

Re: Official Spanish La Liga Discussion Thread

Messi makes that Barca midfield look much better than they actually are. Not just based on yesterday's game but over a long period of time (a year or 2). Barca can pass anyone to death but they only really look threatening and dangerous when he has the ball. Xavi and Iniesta's contribution is massively overstated

Not at all happy about the kickoff of their match against Levante pushed back to a late-night time slot so Real Madrid's 2-1 win over Barcelona could have sole possession of the primetime spotlight, Sevilla fans decided to protest. With tennis balls.

Just after the match finally began, fans behind the home team's goal threw tennis balls onto the pitch by the dozens. And as stewards tried to clear the balls away, they just kept coming while the crowd held up a banner that read "Stop the match, Mourinho is talking" in reference to Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho's post-match press conference.

Oh dear.... :D

Ozil is also the better player. Kaka was never going to start' date=' not sure why anyone would be surprised he didnt[/quote']

Why would anyone be surprised if he started?

Most people were expecting him to start as he has missed out the last few games and has been on good form ;)

Why didn't Kaka start?

Is Mou saving him for the Munich match?

Kakà? Really? Kakà? He shouldn't even be considered to start against FCB.

Özil is miles better than him. He could only start for Di María ATM but Özil would have to play in the wing and that isn't a good thing for RM.

Hardly anyone expected Kaka to start purely because Ozil is much much better. And Mourinho would have to be either stupid or in desperate need of a win to start them both

But surely Ozil could have done a better job than Di Maria did and he could have shifted Kaka in Ozil's place in the middle

Ozil could have played on the right and Kaka in the middle, Di Maria provided no attacking outlet with Arbeloa and was poor against Munich so deserved at least a chance against Barca

Özil in the wing isn't good for RM. Kakà did an horrible match against Atlético, worst player in the pitch by far.

Would you rather have Kaka in the centre and Ozil on the right or Ozil in the middle and Di Maria on the right?

I would have picked Kaka and Ozil as Di Maria was poor in the match against Munich and Barca but because of Ronaldo, Ramos etc his performance didn't matter too much. Di Maria had a poor game against Munich which is why for me it would had made sense to start Kaka, everyone has a bad game mate, it's whether you can come back from that poor performance that matters and Di Maria didn't perform ;)

Kaka is a good player to have when you are controlling a game and need to try and find a gap in the oppositions defence - something which Madrid didn't need yesterday as they were defending most of the time.

I have nothing against Mou's decision not to start him, but he should have at least got an appearance unless the great Mou has an even bigger plan :D
