It started off as seeking a pay rise and since Monaco made their interest known (along with Spurs/Arsenal and Chelsea according to rumours) he has decided to leave. He's part of that great Portuguese tradition of being of being chaperoned by Jorge Mendes -agent of Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Nani, Angel Di Maria, Victor Valdes, James Rodriguez, Joao Moutinho, Radamel Falcao and Jose Mourinho..
