Help with 70-80 rated players

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, i have taken over gillingham in division 4 with 4 million to my name!

I have never taken on a challenge like this (i usually manage clubs like manchester or real)

SO i am not sure what to do, i presume i need to make money on risers and fast?

So can anyone advise me on how best to spend my 4 million?

The club has 26 players so i think depth is ok ..for now

Re: Help with 70-80 rated players

First thing, put the entirety of your squad on the transfer list, barring any obvious risers you identify.

Ideally, try and sell the higher rated players before bringing in replacements as they'll be worth more right now, and over the course of the season that extra money will make up for a few potential early defeats.

Second task, focus on building a competitive first-team. Ideally for first season D4 that should be players in the 77-79 category. But more importantly, you want those who should rise, to give you the momentum to guarantee promotion in Season 2.

Some of my suggestions:

GK: Darren Randolph, Motherwell, 76 / Thibaut Courtois, Genk, 74

RB: Adrian Gunino, Danubio, 78 / John Brayford, Derby, 74

LB: Manuel Schmiedebach, Hanover, 80 / Alessandro Crescenzi, Roma, 75

CB: Ferrer Carlos Tomas, Villarreal B, 74

CB:

W: Albert Adomah, Bristol City, 73

W:

CM: Adam Barton, Preston, 72

CM: Nampalys Mendy, Monaco, 75 / James Bailey, Derby, 72

CF: Steve Morison, Millwall, 76 / Chris Dagnall, Shorpe, 75

Fwd: Nils Petersen, Energie Cottbus, 77 / Brice Jovial, Le Havre, 76

Enjoy the project!

Re: Help with 70-80 rated players

NICK POWELL

he scored the last goal

arsenal are repoted to be after him and are willing to 2m for him

I'm a Crewe fan, and Nick Powell is a great prospect, but he won't leave Crewe anytime soon, and his rating won't rise much either. I'd buy him if possible, but he won't get into a SM first team for a while.

Re: Help with 70-80 rated players

He may well already be taken, incredible bargain that he is, but Marc ALBRIGHTON (yes, the one who's started every league match for Aston Villa this season and been one of their best players) is rated only 75 at the moment and so likely to go up by a good 10 or so points, and to top it off he's a Free Agent in a fair amount of worlds, meaning that he should be available for 250k only. Absolute bargain, if he's not already been snapped up.

There's also Joshua GUILAVOGUI (20, rated 75, CM/LM) who has played 6 out of 7 games for AS Saint-Ettiene (top of the French League currently) this season. Also, might be taken (or a bit costly, perhaps), but if you can get him Phil JONES (18, rated 80, CB/DM) has played in every Blackburn Rovers match so far this season.

There are a few other great players to look out for, but those would be my top 3 as far as bargains in that price range.

Re: Help with 70-80 rated players

You might want to buy Daniel Opare had a decent amount of games for Standard Leige and hes 19 so has a good future ahead :)

Also Michael Stephens of L.A Galaxy played about 23 games for them this season (played more than Donavon) in for a good rise.

Also Tim Ream for NY Red Bulls hess played evrey game for them and is in for a great rise.

Same goes for Tony Tchani played about 20ish for NY Red bulls.

Also you could try Katuka Tshimanga for Lokren hes started all games so far for them

Could try Gomes Pereira Juninho hes currently playing for La Galaxy on loan from Sao Paulo and has had 21 games.

And Enrique Perez for Morelia played the 3rd most amount of minuets on his team and Chile are being revied next.

Hope these help :) .

Re: Help with 70-80 rated players

Once in while a thread like this needs to be summarized...

(+ my suggestions) So he goes my favorites:

Marc Albrighton

Mario Götze

Nampalys Mendy

Phil Jones

Manuel Schmiedebach

Peniel Mlapa

Jeffrey Bruma

Deniss Rakels 70

Nacer Chadli 77

Lopez Juanmi

Filip Kiss 74

Filip Djuricic 78

Patrick Herrmann 77

Nicolai Jorgensen 77

Sekou Oliseh 80 (He is playing alot, which is really impressive considering the great bunch of players in CSKA Moscow)

PS. Zohore is a great talent. Probably the best attacker/greatest talent in Denmark at his age, but he won't rise this time.

Know you'll like it!

The first thing I would do is to start TL all your expensive players. For eg, Matty Lawrence might get you 2.2, Stanley Aborah and Curtis Weston will get you a little bit above a million. And so on. With this cash, you may want to bring in replacements. And I tend to go for ones who will rise very soon, so they help my team right now. Mexico is coming up, and there are a few players there who will get good rises, and give your team a much better rating, and a better chance of being promoted.

If the cash offered for the lower rated players is less than the amount you would get in a p/e, then do the exchange. The keeper at Gillingham, is rated 70. You want to improve on this, and for cheap as you don't have a lot of cash. Looking at Mexican teams, as they are going to be reviewed either tomorrow or next week, and a keeper at San Luis, Trejo, has played a few games, and is only 430k. I think he will rise from 77 to 80-82. His value will be many times that, and you will sell him for a huge profit in 10 weeks time.

It would be easier to know what other leagues are getting reviewed after Mexico. Here you could buy the best players that will help your team, and who will cost a lot less than the players you sell. You may also want to bring in some of the highest risers in Europe, but at the same time, you also want to have a team rated above 80 to help you win the league. All the players you bring in would then be sold off to give your team an even higher rating, and by this time you should be well on top of the league.

Here are some Mexican risers.
