Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

TURN 19 - Sat 9th OCTOBER

BLACKBURN (12th)...v...SUNDERLAND (6th)

Blackburn have a tough home match against 6th placed Sunderland.

Sunderland have an impressive away record - W5 D3 L1 - and Blackburn will hope to improve on their home record W2 D5 L2 coz they are not safe from relegation.

LIVERPOOL (4th)...v...CHELSEA (5th)

Liverpool go into this match with no injuries and Chelsea have ARBELOA & ESSIEN OUT injured - however, Liverpool's home record is excellent W8 D0 L1 and I think that will see them through this match.

WIGAN (10th)...v...STOKE (9th)

This should be an interesting match 10th v 9th. Wigan have lost the last 2 matches and have a small squad. Stoke however, go into this match with 5 injuries which could prove to be vital.

Prediction: WIGAN 2 STOKE 0

BOLTON (11th)...v...EVERTON (1st)

Difficult match for Bolton. Everton are on fire and sit TOP of the league. Bolton have small pool with one injury.Bolton's home record is W4 D1 L4 and Everton's away record is W6 D1 L2 which is impressive.

Prediction: BOLTON 1 EVERTON 3

WEST BROM (19th)...v...NEWCASTLE (2nd)

W.B.A will miss PIRES and SUAZO through injury and Newcastle have no injuries. The match will be vital for WEST BROM coz they need the points. WBA home record W2 D2 L5 and Newcastle away record is W5 D2 L2

ASTON VILLA (14th)...v...MAN CITY (15th)

This is a difficult match to predict as both teams are similar and only a point away from a relegation spot. VILLA home record W3 D4 L2 and CITY away W4 D1 L4 and with both recent performances, I sit on the fence.

Prediction: ASTON VILLA 1 MAN CITY 1

TOTTENHAM (16th)...v...BIRMINGHAM (17th)

This is another scenario where both clubs are only a point away from a relegation spot. Tottenham have ALAN HUTTON injured and Fernando GAGA Suspended for this match. Birmingham have a full squad which could help. However, home advantage could settle it.

ARSENAL (8th)...v...FULHAM (13th)

Arsenal go into this match with 4 injuries and Fulham have no injury worries.Fulham will be in trouble should they lose and their recent form may not be enough Arsenal home record W5 D1 L3 / Fulham away record W3 D2 L4 should be a home win here.

Prediction: ARSENAL 3 FULHAM 1

WEST HAM (3rd)...v...MAN UTD (7th)

This will be a cracker. West Ham have the BEST home defence in the league and Man Utd have the 2nd top goals scored away from home. Both teams have full squads with no injuries. WH home W5 D3 L1/ M UTD away W5 D3 L1

Prediction: WEST HAM 1 MAN UTD 1

WOLVES (18th)...v...BLACKPOOL (20th)

Blackpool need to win this match to keep in touch with the relegation candidates. Despite being 18th - Wolves are unbeaten in their last six matches. An important factor regarding Blackpool - they have only scored 7 away goals this season and they have lost their last 6 matches.

Prediction: WOLVES 2 BLACKPOOL 0

Div 4 predictions

Wycombe Wanderers - Southend United

Wycombe have won 4 of their last 6 games while Southend have hada mix of wins, draws and a single loss. With Wycombe's recent form I can only see home win.

Hartlepool United - Brighton and Hove Albion

3rd vs 4th as the North faces the South tonight. Both on 32 points, 1 point behind 2nd placed Oldham. As Brighton have the divisions joint top goal scorer (Carlos Bacca, 9) I feel his goals might bring an away win.

Aldershot Town - Shrewsbury Town

15th vs 14th now and only 2 points seperate them. Both have had only 3 points from their last 6 games. Therefore I can see a stalemate at the Recreation Ground.

Accrington Stanley - Bury

Another top of the table clash tonight as 5th placed Stanley welcome Bury at the Crown Ground. Bury are unbeaten in their last 6 league games while Stanley have has mixed fortunes. Stanley may have Francis Jeffers in joint top scorers with 9 goals but Bury should continue their fine form.

Tranmere Rovers - Exeter City

Last placed Tranmere hose Exeter tonight. Exeter may only had 1 point more than Rovers in their last 6 games but with joint top goal scorer Magaye Gueye, I can only see Exeter having a 'Gaye' old time.

Gillingham - Northampton Town

Two teams now both with stuttering recent form so I expect a draw tonight.

Yeovil Town - Dagenham & Redbridge

The Somerset farmers host the Daggers tonight with 3 points seperating them. Yeovil won 7 games before Wednesdays loss to Oldham while Dagenham have won their last 2. With Yeovil's Sam Williams with 7 goals this season i'm going to risk and predict a high score draw.

Burton Albion - Oldham Athletic

Lowly Burton host Oldham with only 2 wins in thier last 6 games. Jason Scotland is in good scoring form with 7 goals so far this season so I expect Oldham to keep 2nd place tonight.

Rotherham United - Leyton Orient

Another lowly team Rotherham welcome a Leyton Orient side hoping to stay in the top 6 with Yeovil ready to pounce and replace them in the play-off spots.

Chesterfield - Stockport County

Finaly we come to South Yorkshire with 2nd from bottom Chesterfield hosting a midish table Stockport. A feel a deserved draw for the home side will be the result tonight.

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

Div 3 Predictions | Turn 19

Huddersfield Town Vs Brentford

Relegation battlers Brentford come up against play-off hopefuls Huddersfield Town. Brentford haven’t really clicked, and are getting too many draws which may cost there reputation in Div 3 whilst sitting in 16th, 6 points off the drop. Huddersfield Town are gaining the results which are taking them up as they in sit 6th quite comfortably. But with players like Shaqiri, Bolatti and Rensing, I can see Huddersfield Town breeze past Brentford quite easily.

Huddersfield Town 3-0 Brentford

Man to Watch : Xherdan Shaqiri

Millwall Vs Crystal Palace

Millwall have lost back to back defeats, whilst Crystal Palace have lost 4 of there last 6 games. Both of these teams go into this game with a defeat. Millwall new boys Pavon, Garcia and Yilmaz are all fit and will be looking to get all three points. As for Crystal Palace have 5 absentee’s including star player Henrique. Millwall will look to get there season turned around, and I think they will do this tonight. Last time, Millwall were unlucky, after letting a 1-0 lead slip, but this time I can see the home side scraping a victory.

Millwall 2-1 Crystal Palace

Man to Watch : Vladimir Dyadyun

Southampton Vs Swindon Town

Southampton have had a decent run of form, winning 3 of there last 6 games. Swindon Town, after Tom¬_MFC had taken charge they have gone from bad to great. They have managed to gain 13 points from a possible 18. Southampton are missing key man Makoun to injury whilst Swindon are missing O’Brien. St Mary’s is always a hard place to come to, and If Adam Johnson turns up, I can see Southampton winning comfortably.

Southampton 2-0 Swindon Town

Man To Watch : Adam Johnson

Danger man.

AFC Bournemouth Vs Milton Keynes Dons

AFC Bournemouth have had a mixed season so far, and sit in mid-table 14th. Milton Keynes Dons are sitting comfortably in 5th. Bournemouth are lacking quality, whether signings are going to be made soon is the question, as they could be sucked into the relegation battle if they’re not careful. Milton Keynes Dons have quality and depth, and is one of the teams I like to admire as they have been excellent in transfer market. Milton Keynes should be capable of getting a result at Dean Court.

AFC Bournemouth 0-2 Milton Keynes Dons

Man to Watch : Luis Arias

Coventry City Vs Notts County

I could predict this result right now without even looking at the stats. Both teams face two different situations, Coventry are aiming for the sky, and are favorites for promotion. As for Notts County are rock bottom and relegation looks almost certain for them with an inactive manager in charge. The score line today will be pretty embarrassing for the County supporters. An easy win for Coventry. Simple.

EDIT: Notts County do us all a favor and surprise us by getting a result. What am I thinking.

Coventry City 4-0 Notts County

Man to Watch : Tomas Necid

Necid will be the danger, as he's on form.

Carlisle United Vs Bristol Rovers

A mid table clash see’s 7th placed Carlisle United take on 9th placed Bristol Rovers. Both these teams are in and around the play-off places, but both will be looking to take all three points and take that one step further. Bristol Rovers have 2 absentee’s, one of them being there star man Fernandes. Carlisle United are missing there target man Uribe. As Carlisle United are at home, and are going into this game in good form, I can see them taking all three points.

Carlisle United 2-0 Bristol Rovers

Man to Watch : Ruben Micael

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

The Npower Championship Predictions

- TURN 19 -

A look into tonight's action.

As we head into another night of jam-packed football from the Championship, there could be a few upsets tonight, and every week we experience one or two.

Forest are currently occupying top spot in the league on 42 points, which is currently the highest amount of points any team has in the football league, they are closely being pursuited by 'Boro on 40 points and then there's a massive gap of 7 points seperating 2nd and 3rd spots.

Hull City's Givanildo Hulk currently leads the top scorers charts on 15 goals, also on 15 goals is Forest's big money signing Mario Balotelli.

  • Leicester City (1) - (3) Reading

Neither side's form is one both teams will want to keep, and both will want to get this back on track and sort it out, on paper Reading have a better side and will look to take that advantage onto the pitch, the likes of Adrian Mutu and David Albelda should cause big problems for Leicester.

  • Derby County (0) - (4) Watford

Watford could win this game without having their best players on the pitch, Derby's form is dreadful and the complete opposite can be said about Kylan Hood's Watford. Kylan 'robin-Hood' has his veteran striker RvN firing up with 5 goals to his name this season and should get a fair few tonight.

  • Hull City (2) - (1) Doncaster Rovers

The KC Stadium will be rocking tonight as the home fans will look to get behind their side in dire need of a win, and who better to get it against than Donny. 'City have World Cup star Cacau on their side with a goalscoring machine Hulk, Rovers keeper should expect a hardtime tonight.

Could mid-season manager change for Hull affect the players tonight though and see Donny cause an upset?..

  • Barnsley (0) - (3) Queens Park Rangers

This is a hard game to call, both sides have the same amount of points from the last 6 games and could go easily either way, just the class of QPR's team should stand out tonight against the Tykes, and the scoreline should show it.

  • Cardiff City (1) - (1) Portsmouth

2 years ago these two met in the FA Cup final, now they meet again but in the Championship. Both are lurking near the bottom of the table and nobody wants to be their, so this could turn out to be a cracking game of footy, this game has a draw written all over it.

  • Nottingham Forest (3) - (1) Ipswich Town

League leaders Forest host Town tonight, and Ipswich will have it all in for them tonight, but they won't go down easily as they are chasing a play-off spot for promotion themselves, sitting just 1 place out of the top 6, anything's possible tonight, and Forest shouldn't get too complacent.

  • Sheffield United (0) - (1) Norwich City

Both of these sides have graced the top flight in English football, now they are battling it out in the second division for a place back to the top, but from their league positions, only United look like doing that. I will stick my neck out and say a cheeky 1-0 win for Norwich.

  • Preston North End (1) - (3) Middlesbrough

Deepdale should be full tonight, of away supporters. Jooles Dawson has got his side all fired up this season and are closely chasing league leaders Forest for that nicely coveted trophy, while North End are chasing down a few points to mount a play-off challenge. Dawson has used his budget to the max with bringing World Cup & Euro's winner Iker Casillas to strengthen his backline.

  • Leeds United (1) - (1) Bristol City

This is going to be game of the night, 6th v 4th and a chance to get closer to the top or further away from the outsiders. Both sides will cancel eachother out tonight and the players will be a bit nervous tonight but they shouldn't make too many costly mistakes.

  • Swansea City (0) - (2) Burnley

Another mid-table clash tonight, Swans against Burnley in which will be a closely fought affair, in my eyes, Burnley's side is superior than City's and the game's final score tonight should prove it, Burnleys class will win them the vital 3 points.

English Cup Preview

Round 3

English Cup

Jumping jellyfish, is it that time again? Well thank the gods these ties are starting to thin out a bit, Jooles the Jellyfish™ has only just about recovered from last round’s monumental load! The 3rd round of the cup is here and things are starting to hot up. This round will separate the men from the boys and there’s everything to play for. As always ties of the round are highlighted with club badges.

For your ride today here’s Green Jello with ‘Little Pig, Little Pig’.

Not to be taken too seriously, great video too!

44_1266673308.jpgLiverpool vs. Chelsea21_1273244606.jpg

1st Div 1 vs. 5th Div 1

This mouth-watering all-first division clash is certainly a contender for tie of the round. Two highflying teams come head to head in the cup much sooner than either would have wished and really on their day either could take this game. Chelsea though have failed to live up to their full potential this season, with manager Aaron Duffy a conspicuous absence in the EC7046 forum. Liverpool have had problems of their own of late, but a recent dip in form with 3 losses on the bounce was soon put behind them with a quick return to winning ways. It’s tempting to say to toss a coin here as there’s so little to choose between the two. Liverpool manager Studge though has shown a keener interest in his team’s fortunes, as demonstrated by Saturday’s 3-1 win over Chelsea and the odds are that he’ll repeat that feat in the cup on Monday night, doubly so given the sensational news of Liverpool’s new signing.

Liverpool 3 – 2 Chelsea

Could Messi feature for in his first game for the Reds Monday night?

Reading vs. Sheffield United

19th Div 2 vs. 10th Div 2

Reading have been disappointing so far this season, with rookie manager Babaw Klam seemingly finding the going tough in the dogfight that is division 2. With just three league wins all season it would be easy to write Reading off, but a closer look reveals that many of the games they’ve lost have only been by the odd goal and in the cup so far they’ve impressed and are unbeaten to date. By contrast their opponents Sheffield seem in relative disarray, with a litany of injury, suspension, and fitness issues. On their day Reading have the class to beat many a side and unfortunately for troubled Sheffield Monday will likely be such a day.

Reading 2 – 0 Sheffield United

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Oldham Athletic

16th Div 1 vs. 1st Div 4

Yet another tasty looking tie here as Spurs, the division 1’s sinking ship, hosts Oldham, division 4’s rising stars. Oldham have been in fine form of late and have pulled themselves to the top of the division 4 pile, in large part due to their stubborn refusal to draw, a trait shared by many of their division 4 colleagues (though division 3 Carlisle hold the honour of being the only team yet to draw a league game). And what is happening at Tottenham these days? While manager BC Cliffs begins to contemplate life in division 2 the fans’ protests have increased, with many fans not calling for his head, just asking that he go on holiday again so the assistant manager can steer the ship once more. Fortunately the A.I. will not be needed here. Oldham will enjoy their day out and give it their all, but the quality of Spurs will prevail.

Spurs 3 – 0 Oldham

37_1205746972.gifHull City vs. Manchester City47_1190143104.gif

14th Div 2 vs. 18th Div 1

Speaking of sinking ships, Hull and Man City are as two out-of-form teams as you will ever see. What oh what is going on at City? Mangaer El-Nino (no, not the one of forum smiley fame) has not tended to his flock for some time now and it’s starting to show. Surely a team of City’s class deserve better. At least Hull manager ExiledScotintheUSA has the valid excuse that he’s just arrived at the club and has had his hands tied somewhat. Well here’s a great opportunity to step up and show his worth. City are in tatters and with an unfit 11 looking likely to be played Hull can certainly use City’s woes to their advantage. With ExiledScot’s experience they’ll likely just do that and should squeak through to the next round, just.

Hull City 2 – 1 Man City

5_1241541577.jpgBlackburn Rovers vs. Stoke City75_1202128533.gif

10th Div 1 vs. 9th Div 1

Another all first division clash here, with Blackburn hosting the feisty Stoke City. Blackburn are the undisputed draw experts of the set-up, having registered 10 draws in just 19 league games. Stoke, however, have been trying to match them of late, managing to draw all of their last 3 games. Blackburn have been on an impressive run recently and new manager Carlo Anchelotti seems to be finding his feet, guiding his team to 8 matches without defeat. Their opponents Stoke came out of the blocks flying and for a time were one of division 1’s teams to beat. That success has come at a price, however, and injuries are taking their toll, with Stoke having won not one of their last 6 games, including a recent 1-1 draw against Blackburn. With a full-strength Blackburn facing an under-par Stoke there seems only one outcome in this game, a home win.

Blackburn 2 – 0 Stoke

Peterborough United vs. Milton Keynes Dons

12th Div 3 vs. 3rd Div 3

Oh where did it all start to go wrong for Peterborough? They were flying at the start of the season, registering impressive wins against a host of decent teams, including a 5-1 drubbing of Spurs in a friendly (though seeing Spurs now that win looks just a little less impressive). Now as for so many sides with limited resources the season is beginning to take it’s toll and Peterborough’s fitness concerns are mounting. The same cannot be said of Milton Keynes who have a sizeable and seriously impressive squad (honestly, be sure to check it out, it’s amazing, the lad’s doing great there!). Watch out for these boys when the transfer window comes when they can capitalise on all those risers. So this is a no-brainer really, all the more given that Milton Keynes have already dispatched Man Utd from the cup this season. The MK Dons defeated Peteborough 2-1 just a week ago but expect the margin to be much greater here.

Peterborough 0 – 4 K Dons

Birmingham City vs. West Ham United

17th Div 1 vs. 4th Div 1

Birmingham are another first division team who have just failed to spark this season. A lack of proper investment in the transfer market has cost the Brummies dear and the absence of real quality certainly shows. West Ham have had no such problems and a number of shrewd purchases, including Mata, Khedira, and Godin, have served West Ham extremely well. These teams first met back in the first week of the season and Birmingham fought hard to earn a 1-1 draw. West Ham, now at full strength, will demonstrate who’s the top dog here, so much so that Birmingham will be licking their balls by the end of the 90 minutes. West Ham to win with ease.

Birmingham 0 –3 West Ham

Aston Villa vs. Tranmere Rovers

14th Div 1 vs. 20th Div 4

With just 1 win in 9 league games ordinarily you’d expect Villa to struggle here. Fortunately they come up against the league’s strongest team, Tranmere Rovers, so strong that they hold up the rest the league. Yes, the league’s bottom side have had a torrid time so far and now that they’re managerless that’s a record that ain’t going to change soon. Add to that that Villa have been cup legends this season, winning 8 out of the 10 cup games they’ve played there’s only one outcome really, the question being how many Villa can notch in the process.

Aston Villa 6 – 0 Tranmere

Middlesbrough vs. Ipswich Town

2nd Div 2 vs. 9th Div 2

Boy they’re a great team that Middlesbrough. A top manager at the helm and a cracking set of hard working, likeable, and highly skilled lads on the pitch. Yeah, yeah, okay, so they’ve stuttered a little bit of late, who doesn’t when your gunning for the treble? It ain’t easy balancing all those players. It’s not like some where they send a second string of Vulcans out and just hope for the best. Ipswich aren’t too shabby either, and one day when those young pups of Canales, De Gea, and Neymar grow up they will certainly rock the socks off some. Will today be that day? Probably not, as Boro will likely prove too strong for them. That said, Ispwich are capable of a shock result from time to time, and even held Boro to a 3-3 draw earlier in the season. Boro should edge this one. Should.

Middlesbrough 2 – 1 Ipswich

Millwall vs. West Bromwich Albion

16th Div 3 vs. 19th Div 1

While we all sit looking over our shoulders, nervously wondering if El-Nino has truly left us for the allure of WC10000 one thing’s for certain, his opponent Craig is certainly live and kicking in EC7046. What’s that got to do with the predictions you ask? Everything, so please stop interrupting if you don't mind and read on. Here the exuberance of youth comes face to face with the wise old master who’s walked this path countless times before. And Millwall will need all the tricks the wily old dog has up his sleeve if they are to overcome the superior quality of West Brom. Despite a couple of key injuries West Brom still look likely to edge this game, unless that is Millwall can find some tactical edge and tip the game their way. It’ll likely be tighter than expected and go it will go to the wire though expect West Brom to still just edge this one.

Millwall 2 – 2 West Brom (West Brom to win on penalties)

Bolton Wanderers vs. Bristol Rovers

12th Div 1 vs. 9th Div 3

You’ve got to admit, they’re an enigmatic team Bolton. From manager Rick James’ angry red face to their seesawing form, you never quite know what to get from them. Generally they win against the lesser teams and get thumped by the league’s top dogs, but from time to time they pull out a little shock result here and there. With Bristol Rovers you know exactly what you’re going to get, and with experienced manager drseanfitz at the helm you always know you’re in for a fight. Presently Rovers sit 9th in division 3, but that probably says more about the quality of the division than it does of Rovers. Will they have enough to overcome Bolton? Probably not but they’ll certainly not go down without a fight.

Bolton 3 – 2 Bristol Rovers

Swindon Town vs. Watford

14th Div 3 vs. 3rd Div 2

To put it bluntly, Swindon have one chance and once chance only here, and that lies in the shooting boots of on-loan 89-rated striker Jose Manuel Jurado. With just 3 goals in 9 games Swindon manager Tom MFC clearly has yet to discover how to get the best from his star player. Unlike Swindon Watford have star quality in abundance and have used it to maximum effect in the league to be now breathing down the neck of Boro manager Jooles. Well not breathing exactly, more of a huffing and puffing. **** annoying actually, sure wish he would stop. Although Watford’s star quality has an average age closer to 40 than 30 they’ll still likely be able to do the business here. Here’s hoping so they don’t get the chance to concentrate on the league.

Swindon 1 – 2 Watford

Everton vs. Barnsley

2nd Div 1 vs. 16th Div 2

Boy Everton have been good so far this season haven’t there? Look, what are they doing right up there in 2nd place in the top division?! Still, they’ve been worth every penny and despite lacking any of the true star quality of some of their opponents they do have a squad to die for, with excellent coverage in practically every position. So many times a strong squad can trump a stronger team over the course of a season as injuries begin to take their toll, just as they are for Everton now. And this is the key difference between Everton and Barnsley. While Everton can just roll out replacements Barnsely have no such luxury. Injuries to a number of top players will cost them big and although they’ve managed to turn their season around somewhat in recent weeks they get little joy here.

Everton 3 – 0 Barnsley

Sheffield Wednesday vs. Leicester City

13th Div 3 vs. 11th Div 2

Oh things were going so well for Wednesday earlier on this season and then, well, the wheels just fell off. Having been sat perched high amongst the playoff contenders a poor run of 5 straight defeats has left them floundering aimlessly in mid-table. Still, they’ve proven that they can hold their own at times and they’ll be no push over here, despite the recent poor form. In many ways Leicester have paralleled Wednesday, themselves not having won any of their last 6 league games. In all likelihood this poor form speaks more to the quality of their recent division 2 opponents than it does of the Leicester team themselves. While Leicester’s squad isn’t exactly stellar by any means they certainly have enough to overcome Wednesday, doubly so if the resting of a number of first team players prior to this game is anything to go by.

Sheff Wed 2 – 3 Leicester City

76_1200385608.gifSunderland vs. Nottingham Forest55_1203646337.gif

7th Div 1 vs. 1st Div 2

Certainly the biggest cup challenge for Forest manager Mo Hendy to date. So far Forest have coasted through cup games, getting away with playing second-string teams against inferior opposition. Now for the first time ‘Bigga Memo’ has a choice to make, does he go for it in the cup, risking his league campaign due to fitness concerns to his key players, or does he sacrifice cup success for the more important league? Certainly Sunderland possesses the quality to shame a sub-standard Forest 11, even though an surprisingly impressive Sunderland have dipped in form in recent weeks. Expect both teams to gamble with reserve team players here, with Sunderland just edging it.

Sunderland 3 – 2 Forest

Newcastle United vs. Colchester United

3rd Div 1 vs. 19th Div 3

Colchester United. How on earth did Newcastle get yet another plumb draw, like a home tie versus Colchester United? Dudeskin8’s hot balls again, say no more, watch out everyone, they’ll be heading your way soon. Colchester have won just three times all season, with just one of them being on the road. Newcastle have yet to be beaten at home. The key question here is how many players can Newcastle manager dudeskin8 rest without compromising performance? Get it right and Newcastle will coast in. Push it too far and the game will be too tight for comfort. Still, it’s hard to see Newcastle losing this one.

Newcastle 2 – 0 Colchester

Seriously, do you have any idea how hard it is to find a sexy looking jellyfish?!

I'll settle for the Box Jellyfish, one of the most deadly creatures on the planet.

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

Notts county vs Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers have been on a good run under the new manager winning 3 out of 6 games and have players on good form such as G. ZEEFUIK and notts county have been on a very bad run of form so I see 1 winner here ....

Notts county1 vs 3 Bristol Rovers

Sheffield Wednesday vs Coventry City

Coventry are on a great run of form and have a side to beat everybody in this division , Coventry have won 6 , Drawn 1 , lost 1 and Sheffield Wednesday have lost 6 and drawn 2 in there last 8 games not the sort of form to be facing coventry ....

Sheffield Wednesday 0 vs 5 Coventry City

Plymouth Argyle vs AFC Bournemouth

This is a tale of the worst defence against the best attack in the league plymouth have huntalaar and giovinco and bournemouth have B. RODRIGUINHO and C. DAVENPORT so there quality is miles apart between the sides and plymouth hit 9 past bournemouth last fixture but it wont be that much this time round but to be honest bournemouth should save there best players for games they have a chance at winning which is not many!

Plymouth Argyle 5 vs 1 AFC Bournemouth

Swindon Town vs Peterborough United

Swindon Town are on very inconsisent form with 2 wins , 2 draws , 2 losses but peterbourgh are doing worse with 1 win , 3 defeats , 3 draws , and peterbourgh have one of there top stars jonathon dos santos so I see a close game between the sides

Swindon Town 1 vs 1 Peterborough United

Brentford vs Southampton

Brentford are not on the best form at the moment 1 win, 2 draws and 3 losses and not many would give them a chance against the mighty saints but the saints have been hit by 2 devestating injurys to there best players! so I see and hope Brentford can somehow pick a point up at least.

Brentford0 vs 0 Southampton

Shorpe United VS Millwall

Millwall are on a decent run of form now winning 2 , drawn 2 , losing 2 and it will definately help there cause now craig has managed to get pensioner julio cruz out of retirement he will be applying for his bus pass soon to get him between games!! but seriously he will be a drastic improvement to the offence ranks and with shorpe inabilty to see teams off I see millwall winning comfortably

Shorpe United 1 VS 3 Millwall

best of the rest

Crystal Palace 1 vs 0 Walsall

Colchester United 1 vs 2 Huddersfield Town

Charlton Athletic 3 vs 2 Rochdale

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

Premier League Predictions - Turn Twenty

  • Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Both these side are currently only separated by 3 points and both are in good form especially Wolves. In fact Wolves are the stand-out performers in the last 6 and since have been climbing fast and crucially out of the bottom 3. Both teams could win this but I'll have to just edge Wolves.

Fulham 1 - 2 Wolves

  • Manchester City vs Arsenal

At the start of the season it could have been thought that both would be vying for a Champions league spot but due to city's awful form that isn't the case and they now have sunk to 3rd bottom. Arsenal have 10 more points but are also 7 off 4th which isn't good, and they'll want to improve quickly as the season approaches its end. Due to Arsenal's better form and more interested/active manager I'll also edge them for an away win.

Citeh 0 - 2 Gunners

  • Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur

For most Newcastle fans this game was where it all began for the new manager, masterminding a shock 2-0 win at White Hart lane on the opening day of the season. Since then the Toon haven't looked back and continue to perform well sitting 3rd in the league and still in both domestic cup competitions. However for Spurs the story up to now has been quite the opposite with some awful form recently seeing them drop to a lowly 16th and their agony was complete on Monday with a disastrous home defeat to Oldham. Travelling to the north-east and one of only two remaining "true" fortresses in the four divisions will be very tough and with that I can only see one result.

Toon 3 - 1 Spurs

  • Stoke City vs West Bromwich Albion

Two clubs here who are probably just about where they figured they'd be come half-way. Stoke in 9th even with a win might not rise but getting one would help cement their top-ten position more so. WBA's form of late has been truly horrific (discounting a strange abnormality in beating Newcastle at home) which see's them 4 points adrift of safety with games running out. Sadly for the Baggies I only see a solid home showing here.

Potters - 2 - 0 Baggies

  • Sunderland vs Wigan Athletic

These two are doing fairly well in the league maintaining good mid-table positions with Sunderland close to the top 4. Wigan lately have had a poor spell just picking up a point in the last 3 played that has seen them drop out the European spots. With both sides equal in form and not much separating them in terms of personal a share of the spoils looks likely.

Black Cats 1 - Wigan

  • Blackburn Rovers vs Liverpool

Since appointing new coach Carletto Blackburn have been steady in the league drawing many games but in their last home game they finally got a crucial win lifting them into the top 10. Liverpool after a very poor run of 3 defeats have now gone top after a short run of form however they are joint top with local rivals Everton, ahead on goal difference alone. With Blackburn's good unbeaten record I back them to hold 'Pool.

Blackburn 2 - 2 'Pool

  • Manchester United vs Blackpool City

This game is a very tough one for struggling 'Pool who are rock-bottom of the league with all hope of survival fading fast. United on the other hand are far from the bottom but not quite where they should be, currently 6 points off top-spot. This game is so heavily favoured on one side surely there couldn't be any sort of upset ?

Utd 3 - 0 Blackpool

Div 2 predictions

Bristol City - Burnley

Promotion chasing Bristol meet Burnley at home tonight with Burnley looking to push into the play-off spots, lying just 1 point outside them. Burnley have 10 goal Oleksandr Gladkyy and a run of 2 wins so I feel Burnley may have too much for Bristol who haven't had a win in 4 games.

Middlesbrough - Swansea City

'Boro may have a complete dork for a manager but they are having a good season so far, lying 2nd behind Nottingham Forest after 19 games. They host Swansea City tonight who are currently midtable and have have 5 games in the last 35 so it will be a comfortable win for the smoggies.

Norwich City - Leeds United

Norwich sit in the relegation zones while Leeds are pushing for the play-off spots. Leeds have only lost once in their last 6 games so even though they're away.

Ipswich Town - Preston North End

2 teams now with exactly the same amount of points in their last 6 games. Preston may be further down the table but I think they will have an even fight.

Portsmouth - Sheffield United

A midtable clash at Fratton Park. Pompey have had the better esults recently and with home support they might just edge this.

Queens Park Rangers - Nottingham Forest

6th vs 1st tonight as QPR look to cement a play-off idenity but they have to start against first placed Notts Forest. Balotellie has been banging in the goals as of late and he should see them through this test.

Doncaster Rovers - Cardiff City

With only 1 point in their last 6 games, Cardiff have to travel to Doncaster who have Pantelic scoring goals for fun in the league. Doncaster who are 5th, should win this well.

Watford - Barnsley

Banrsley have had some decent results lately so I can see them nicking a point aginst 3rd placed Watford, who have have awful club colours.

Reading - Hull City

A lowly Reading host Hull whose ugly playing style, has only got them to 14 so far this season. Reading will brave this one out and gain a win.

Leicester City - Derby County

Last game to predict so I can't be bothered to say much.

Division 4 Previews | Turn 20

Leyton Orient vs Stockport County

Mr. Snooky's Leyton Orient are in an impressive 7th place, but they can count themselves lucky of late to be there as they have dropped a lot of points that could cost them dearly at the end of the season in their hunt for a play off spot. Stockport County's form is picking up as the club have drawn the lat two fixtures they have played which has helped stabalised the future of their manager. Overall, this should be a game that Snooky's O's come out victorious in as they have a stronger team.

Leyton Orient 3-1 Stockport County

Dagenham & Redbridge vs Rotherham United

Jimmy Winston's revived Rotherham travel to Dagenham to take on the Daggers in what should be an interesting encounter. Walshe's Dagenham sit 11th in the league which the fans are delighted with as Walshe's expectations were to avoid finishing bottom of the league. Rotherham willl be looking for a point at Victoria Road so this should be a game to watch out for.

Dagenham & Redbridge 1-2 Rotherham United

Exeter City vs Yeovil Town

Nathan Kirby's Yeovil Town look like a team to kill of late, they are bang on form and they have the manager and players to push for a serious promotion charge. Kirby's appointment has proved miracles at Town were a struggling mediocre team but as I've said, Kirby has done wonders with the club. They should run out easy winners in tonight's game vs Exeter City.

Exeter City 0-2 Yeovil Town

Bury vs Gillingham

Neil Matterson's charismatic Bury are flying high, sitting in a very impressive 3rd place but you can sense Matterson wants top spot back, he has become known as "The Yorkshire Wizard" for a reason ya know. James O'Donnel's Gillingham have steadied from the sinking ship they once were and O'Donnel will be hoping tonight's game will be a chance to show the sides true credentials.

Bury 3-1 Gillingham

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

Div 3 Predictions | Turn 21

Coventry Vs Milton Keynes Dons

League leaders Coventry City come against 4th placed Milton Keynes Dons. Coventry have won there last three games, Milton Keynes have lost last time around. These two sides met last time, but Milton Keynes came out on top 3-1. Dan Griffin has made Ricoh Arena into a fortress and have lost only once at home. I can see Coventry winning this quite comfortably.

Coventry 3-0 Milton Keynes Dons

Peterborough United Vs Plymouth Argyle

Peterborough United take on 2nd placed Plymouth Argyle. Plymouth Argyle have been on cracking form, winning there last six games. Peterborough have had ups and downs, and sit 10th in Div 3. Plymouth recently have sold key striker Huntelaar to West Brom, and I think this may influence the game. Peterborough won last time against Plymouth, and I’m sure they can repeat the same result.

Peterborough United 2-1 Plymouth Argyle

Southampton Vs Crystal Palace

Both sides are as tough as each other. Southampton were sitting 2nd once upon a time, but a recent dip in form see’s them drop to 7th. Not too far behind are Crystal Palace who are 11th. Southampton’s star man Makoun is out injured, as Crystal Palace’s star man Henrique is also sidelined. Both teams are evenly matched, and I’m predicting a thrilling draw.

Southampton 2-2 Crystal Palace

Millwall Vs Brentford

A relegation scrap see’s 17th placed Millwall take on 16th placed Brentford. Brentford are relying too much on there front man, Lafferty. If Millwall can put a strong side out tonight, and there fans are behind there team, I can see them getting all three points.

Millwall 2-0 Brentford

Huddersfield Town Vs Shorpe United

A play-off clash right here. Both team are on great form, and both have quality players. Last time around this game was a bore draw, this time it looks to be an entertaining game of football. Shorpe are hit with injuries and as Huddersfield town are at home, I can see them scraping a win.

Huddersfield Town 1-0 Shorpe United

League 2 predictions

Chesterfield vs Leyton Orient

This is a strange encounter when Chesterfield underperforming in 19th. But have in recent weeks hit a unbeaten run as they are unbeaten in 4. Leyton Orient in 6th have hit a dry patch. Having got 9 out 18 points, Rabiolla will be the key for the game as he has had 6 goals

Prediction Chesterfield 2-1 Leyton Orient

Rotherham vs Oldham

Rotherham play Oldham. Again another miss match as it pits Dave Izod poor 18TH place Rotherham against promotion chaser Oldham. Both teams really heavily on there strike force.Jason Scotland is Oldham top scorer with 7 goals and will be the key

Rotherham 1-1 Oldham

Burton vs Dagenham and Redbridge

Again yet again a team in the bottom half struggling against an much better side. Burton have only one 2 in 6. Dagenham on the other hand have a good manager in Rob Walshe should be able to beat this poor Burton side.

Burton 0-4 Dagenham

Tranmere Rovers vs Bury

Another great forumer here. Lenny and his in form Bury play a poor Tranmere

but we will have to see. Bury look like clear favourites but upset can happen and will Tranmere spring a surprise. But i for one cannot see it happening

Tranmere 1-4 Bury.

Accrighton Stanley vs Shrewsbury

Out a form Accrighton Stanley face a difficult game against Shrewsbury. But Jeffers will be the key to the match. If he could score i can see Accrighton pulling through due to there good manager, But 14th place Shrewsbury should not be pit down. Zaha also with 9 goals will be the key

Accrighton Stanley 2-1 Shrewsbury

Aldershot vs Brighton and Hove Albion

Brighton are picking up form in 4th and have a nice team bosting the likes of Ramasy ,Di Santo. Aldershot have won 4 of there last 6. But rely heavly on 8 goal Brazilian Maurico. This should be a very interesting game

Aldershot 1-1 Brighton.

Yevoil Town 2-1 Northhampton

Gillingham 0-3 Exeter

Hartlepool 2-1 Southend

Stockport 1-2 Wycombe

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

The Npower Championship Predictions

- TURN 21 -

A look into tonight's action.

As we head into another night of jam-packed football from the Championship, there could be a few upsets tonight, and every week we experience one or two.

Forest held onto top spot in the Championship last on wednesday night, even though they suffered a 1-1 draw in London against QPR. Jooles' Boro kept up the pressure and took full advantage of Forest's slip up with a 3-2 win at home to Swansea.

We have a new joint top goalscorer in the division, Doncaster's secret weapon Marko Pantellic joins Hulk & Balotelli at the top on 15 goals and look set to continue lighting up the division tonight.

There were some high scoring games on wednesday, with a 5-1 & 6-1 result being recorded.

Swansea City (1) - (2) Bristol City

- Bristol City's current form wins this game for them, but as we all know, form counts for nothing in the modern game, I still predict an away win for the Robins.

Leeds United (1) - (3) Middlesbrough

- High flying Middlesbrough should expect to comfortably win this game with key players such as Iker Casillas, Xavi & Walter Samuel.

Preston North End (1) - (1) Norwich City

- This game will be a tight affair and I can see both sides cancelling eachother out.

Sheffield United (2) - (4) Ipswich Town

- The tractor boys are on a bad run of form at the moment, with only 2 wins in their last 6 games, a win is what's needed tonight and I fully expect them to take all 3 points against a strong Sheffield United side.

Nottingham Forest (3) - (1) Portsmouth

- League leaders Forest won't succumb to another slip up tonight and will continue their reign at the top tonight with a win over Pompey.

Cardiff City (0) - (2) QPR

- QPR will be buzzing with their start to the season and with a point away at league leaders Forest on wednesday, the buzz will help them tonight

Barnsley (0) - (1) Doncaster Rovers

- Another game we will see both sides cancel eachother out, with no real quality upfront, their won't be much for both keepers to do tonight, Pantellic though will terrorise the Barnsley defence and get the winning goal.

Hull City (1) - (4) Watford

- We all know who Kylan Hood is, and he will have his side fired up for tonight's game, and will use his tactical quality tonight.

Derby County (2) - (1) Reading

Burnley (2) - (2) Leicester

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

English Shield Preview

Round 3

English Shield

13 division 1 clubs, 11 division 2 clubs, 5 division 3 clubs, and 3 division 4 clubs, that’s how each of the leagues are represented in the third round of the EC7046 Shield. With everything to play for expect some hard fought clashes. If Jooles the Jellyfish™ is right with his predictions though, and let’s face it, he usually is, by this evening there’ll be just 11 division 1 clubs, 3 division 2 clubs, and 2 division 3 clubs remaining. Go on, prove him wrong, I know you’d love to!

Shed Seven with ‘Getting Better’ an appropriate song for EC7046

Birmingham City vs. Aston Villa

17th Div 1 vs. 14th Div 1

‘Battle of the Brummies’ here in this all first-division clash. The teams played out a dour 0-0 draw earlier on this month and with both teams being in pretty shocking form of late don’t expect a cracker here. Like two punch-drunk boxers, both these teams stagger into the second half of the season plagued by fitness concerns. Really it’s a hard one to call, the winner probably being the one who values the shield more than their flagging league campaign. Villa have the class to come out on top here and having rested key players ahead of the game should likely do so.

Birmingham City 0 - 2 Aston Villa

Manchester United vs. Walsall

5th Div 1 vs. 11th Div 3

My oh my, another plum home draw for Manchester United. Yet with Man Yoo’s home form being as it is anything could happen and come the 96 minutes (they always get 6 more than anyone else) if there are any prawn sandwiches left the fans will likely be throwing them. United come up against a Walsall team in fine form, having won 4 of the last 6. United’s form is not too shabby either mind, with the only defeat in recent weeks being the 3-0 drubbing at home to Arsenal (had to get that one in!). With Man U’s players in peak fitness though there’ll be no such lose tonight and sorry Walsall, a comfortable home win is the only outcome here.

Manchester United 5 – 0 Walsall

Chesterfield vs. Arsenal

19th Div 4 vs. 7th Div 1

A welcomed money-spinning tie here for lowly Chesterfield who take on one of EC7046’s big-guns. Chesterfield have the luxury of having a full squad to choose from, not that it will likely matter given Arsenal’s quality. Chesterfield’s only real hope is that following the recent spat between Arsenal’s manager swindon1991 and the Spurs boss BC Cliffs Arsenal have been sufficiently distracted. Even so, it will take a miracle for Chesterfield to win. Expect them to sit back and defend and hope to hit Arsenal on the break. Expect also for Arsenal to win, though it is unlikely that new signing Iniesta will grace the hallowed Chesterfield turf.

Chesterfield 0 - 4 Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Charlton Athletic

16th Div 1 vs. 6th Div 3

It’s easy to knock Spurs manager BC Cliffs but it takes real talent to string together that many league games without a win. Clearly the man has a plan though, and that plan might be an unprecedented sweep of all three of the cups Spurs are competing for. Still, Saturday’s win over Man City might just signify a reversal of his league fortunes, so what does that mean for his cup success? Well, Spurs face a Charlton team grinding it out the hard way in division 3. They’re holding their own and will be no push-overs here. Still Spurs have been doing some shrewd business in the transfer market recently, including the sensational signing of Dickson Etuhu. Charlton won’t be able to compete with class like that and it will be Cliffs who marches onto the next round keeping his treble dream alive.

Tottenham Hotspur 3 - 0 Charlton Athletic

47_1190143104.gifManchester City vs. Rotherham United 67_1192814962.gif

18th Div 1 vs. 18th Div 4

Hard what to make of this one. City have been just shockingly bad so far this season. “Bring back Mark Hughes” is the chant that rings round the City of Manchester Stadium. In fact what they really should be singing is “Bring back El Nino,” for the City manager has been away from his team for weeks now. Surely star striker David Villa, expected again to start today’s game with fitness of just 13, deserves better than this? So here’s your chance Rotherham, do you have what it takes? Can you do what Belkevitz failed to do in the cup and use El-Nino’s apathy to dispatch a sub-standard City? Even though Longnose’s Rotherham weighs in some 12 ratings-points behind City they can still take this match through a cunning use of tactics. Will they do it? Well, it could go either way, and if Longnose is paying attention to City’s troubles it will be close. Alas, expect the match engine to work against them here though and to just lose out, exiting the shield and returning home with their heads held high and the sweet sounds of the Arctic Monkey’s rocking through the team bus.

Manchester City 3 - 2 Rotherham United

Blackburn Rovers vs. Aldershot Town

9th Div 1 vs. 11th Div 4

Blackburn’s fine form continues under new manager Carlo Anchelotti and aside from a brief blip away at Anfield the Lancashire side have managed to take on all comers in recent months. A spate of recent signings can only strengthen Blackburn’s hand and a closer look at their squad shows that they are pushing hard for the league record for the most number of 89-rated players in a squad. Aldershot are one of the few remaining division 4 teams in the competition but, unlike Blackburn have no 89-rated players, let alone 11. Still, they’ve got not a bad little squad, and could even rise up the league and challenge for a promotion spot. Unfortunately that’s what they’ll be focusing on now as Blackburn will win here with ease.

Blackburn Rovers 4 - 0 Aldershot Town

25_1282241960.jpgCoventry City vs. Chelsea 21_1273244606.jpg

1st Div 3 vs. 6th Div 1

Terrible timing for Dan Griffin’s Coventry to be facing Chelsea really, with Chelsea manager Aaron ‘the Duffman’ Duffy having just woken up from a two month slumber. Nevertheless, this will be a belter of a game, as Coventry have been superb this season, one of EC7046’s form teams. While Coventry are by no means a one-man team success against Chelsea will very much depend upon how star striker Thomas Necid performs on the night. With 11 goals and 10 assists in 16 games Necid is on fire and will be a handful for Chelsea’s aging defence. With defenders Terry and Cole NMF and injuries to Lucio, Lampard, and Essien Coventry really could go on and win this one. It’ll be tight, possibly even going to penalties, but Chelsea might just be made to pay here for theDuffman’s lack of attention to his team.

Coventry City 1 - 1 Chelsea (Coventry to win on penalties)

Reading vs. Burnley

19th Div 2 vs. 7th Div 2

The first of several all-second division ties in tonight’s shield, Reading host an increasingly impressive Burnley side. Struggling away down at the foot of the division it’s hard to see Reading getting any respite in this game. Little green squares have been hard to come by so far and Burnley look unlikely to yield to Reading, as evidenced by the 4-1 thrashing they handed out earlier this season. The resting of key players on Saturday suggests Reading are fully focused on this game, and Burnley too are in peak fitness, possessing perhaps the strongest squad in division 2. With the talent Burnley have it’s hard to see them losing this one and their cup run will continue, complementing what is likely to be a steady rise up towards the top of division 2.

Reading 0 - 2 Burnley

Cardiff City vs. Portsmouth

133h Div 2 vs. 14th Div 2

Cardiff have the dubious honour of having are one of the league’s most intact original squads, and it shows. Grow or perish is a suitable motto for a full EC and Cardiff’s failure to find sufficient quality in the transfer market and offload their dead wood has cost them dear. Much the same can be said of Portsmouth too, having only shipped out 5 of their original players. Consequently, like Cardiff they have struggled this season. On paper there’s little to choose between these two sides, but tactically Portsmouth seem to have the edge, dispatching Cardiff 3-1 just a week ago with a pass-and-rush game. Will Portsmouth repeat the feat today? Possibly, though this game will be much tighter than the league encounter.

Cardiff City 2 - 2 Portsmouth (Portsmouth to win on penalties)

70_1202930968.gifSheffield United vs. Middlesbrough50_1201894192.gif

10th Div 2 vs. 2nd Div 2

An intriguing fixture here as Sheffield’s youth come face-to-face with Boro’s aging stars. Both teams are somewhat in the middle of a mid-season reorganisation. Middlesbrough’s flirtation with the world’s top talent has been well documented, but they’re not the only ones wheeling and dealing in the transfer market. Sheffield too are in the process of bringing in new blood, offloading first-teamers Maicon and Annan and bringing in West Brom winger Odemwingie (ha-ha, what a great name for a winger!) in return. You’d reckon that with the class Boro have they’d win this with ease but perhaps challenging on all 3 fronts could be staring to take its toll on Boro. The same could be said though of Sheffield and so class should just win out here, though that is by no means a certainty.

Sheffield United 0 - 2 Middlesbrough

Shorpe United vs. Fulham

3rd Div 3 vs. 13th Div 1

Shrope have been beaten just 4 times this season, all against quality opposition. That said, the number of draws they are beginning to register is on the up and their form has been flagging of late. The opposite can be said of Fulham who after a pretty awful start to the season have picked up their game in recent weeks. In a nutshell this clash can be summed up as experience vs. quality. Fulham’s players far outrank Shorpe ratings-wise, but Shorpe’s manager has been in this game a long time now. Which will prevail? It’ll be a close call but Fulham should just edge it.

Shorpe United 1 - 2 Fulham

55_1203646337.gif Nottingham Forest vs. Everton 31_1229339837.jpg

1st Div 2 vs. 3rd Div 1

A cracker of a tie here as high flying Forest take on, well, even higher flying Everton. With Forest being dumped out the cup last week at the hands of Sunderland expect Forest manager BigGameMo to take this game a touch more seriously and he’ll likely not be fielding the second string team that he’s rolled out for most other cup and shield games in the past. He’ll need all the firepower he’s got though as Everton are a mean looking team who’s manager clearly knows what he’s doing. Any doubt that Everton are taking the shield seriously was erased on Saturday when they rested no fewer than 5 first team players. The same cannot be said of Forest who played a full strength team last match. Without peak fitness expect the Forest lads to feel the pace of this game and start to flag in the second half, when Everton will step things up a notch and put them to the sword.

Nottingham Forest 1 - 3 Everton

Preston North End vs. Plymouth Argyle

16th Div 2 vs. 2nd Div 3

Things are looking pretty rough at poor old Preston. They seem to be suffering in much the same way Cardiff and Portsmouth are by an inability or unwillingness to offload their original players, making just one transfer out the entire season. As such there’s no real class in the team, a charge that cannot be said of their opponents Plymouth who have been exquisite at times. Having won 11 out of their last 12 games, with the only defeat being away at Chelsea, Plymouth are the league’s form team right now. There’s nothing to suggest that is likely to change here and Plymouth will march on to the next round with a comfortable win.

Preston North End 0 – 3 Plymouth Argyle

Sunderland vs. Leicester City

8th Div 1 vs. 12th Div 2

Sunderland come into this game on the back of an impressive draw over league leaders Liverpool, showing that when they want to Sunderland can certainly hold their own. Leicester, by contrast have been holding very little of late, going down easily to sides of all colours, and having only won one of the last 10. There’s no indication that Leicester’s poor run will change here and expect Sunderland to come out easy winners.

Sunderland 3 - 0 Leicester City

Swansea City vs. West Bromwich Albion

15th Div 2 vs. 19th Div 1

Zakkoo’s Swansea go into this game on the back of the worst run of form ever seen at the club, with just 1 point taken in the last 6 games. Things are little better at West Brom though, whose poor run of form has seen them become firmly entrenched in division 1’s relegation zone. Winds of change are afoot at both clubs. Swansea have strengthened their squad with the signings of Akinfeev and Valbuena while West Brom has just brought in a string of attacking options, with Taddei, Iaquinta, and Hunterlaar joining defender Jensen at the club. That’s too much firepower for Swansea to contain and West Brom should just edge this one.

Swansea City 1 - 2 West Bromwich Albion

Newcastle United vs. Leeds United

2nd Div 1 vs. 8th Div 2

Hats off to Newcastle manager dudeskin8. To be riding high in 2nd place in division 1, level on points with leaders Liverpool, is an outstanding achievement that dudeskin8 himself can perhaps barely believe. The real challenge now though is translating that success into silverware, no easy task. Newcastle’s opponents today have yet to distinguish themselves in the way that Newcastle have, failing to stamp their mark on what has been a relatively lackluster season. Things are picking up though, with recent results indicating that perhaps a tide has been turned. Leeds come into this game having won 8 out of the last 13, including a superb 1-0 win over clear title favorites Middlesbrough. So Leeds clearly mean business, but unfortunately so do Newcastle. With St. James Park being an impregnable fortress this season the only pregnating Leeds will have the chance of doing will be round the back of the Strawberry after the game. Home win.

Newcastle United 3 - 1 Leeds United

Premier League Predictions - Turn Twenty Two

  • Manchester United vs Fulham

After a tricky start to the league, which has seen them outside the top four for much of the first half of the campaign, they are finally turning things around and are beginning to climb up the table just four points off the summit. Their opponents in Fulham are probably quite content with 13th place at the moment but being just 2 points off the top ten will of course want to improve. At home United should, in theory, cruise this one.

Man Utd 3 - 0 Cottagers

  • Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Birmingham City

Wolves fantastic comeback came to a hault last week with a home defeat to Man Utd, although even with that they are still a side in great form and look a million miles from relegation candidates. Brum however are just outside and could easily drop in tonight. In their last encounter Blues pipped it 1-0 but Wolves will take this one.

Wolves 2 - 0 Brum

  • Arsenal vs Newcastle United

Arsenal have been improving of late but the unbeaten run of four games includes 2 draws which the manager would be irritated with as wins in both could see them in a much better position. The team they play in Newcastle is very much in transition as the Toon boss looks to shake things up on Tyneside bringing in a lot of new faces and getting rid of much of the deadwood, plus also after going out in the shield much of the first team will be rested. The previous encounter ended 1-1 up north but on Arsenal's patch they should be good enough to get the 3 points.

Gunners 2 - 1 Toon

  • Aston Villa vs Stoke City

Aston Villa have performed fairly average so far and 14th is not where they should be with the quality of squad they possess. Stoke have an amazing run of form recently with 5 consecutive draws in the league but luckily they sit just inside the top ten due to less goals conceded than Bolton, that will be hard to stay their though as they have a crazy 5 players out injured and one suspension. With all that taken into consideration Villa will surely get this done.

Villa 3 - 1 Stoke

  • West Bromwich Albion vs Chelsea

Things are looking bad for WBA, they have now sunk deep into the relegation zone in complete contrast to rivals Wolves revival and are desperate need of points to stop the rot. Chelsea similar to Arsenal have failed badly with the great squad they have but recently their manager returned to take back the reigns and hopefully turn things round. I can't see WBA winning this one unfortunately.

WBA 1 - 3 Chelsea

  • Wigan Athletic vs Blackburn Rovers

Both these clubs are in a fairly similar position entrenched in a mid-table battle where the winner at the end could snatch a European spot whereas loser will still be in the league but glory at the end. Wigan need a win soon as they have only 3 points in their last 5 played, Blackburn though after a strange run of draws have 6 points in their last 3 played. This one looks too hard to call.

Wigan 2 - 2 Blackburn

  • Blackpool vs Liverpool

This last game tonight is the biggest difference in fortunes for two teams in the league as high-flying Liverpool joint top with Newcastle travel to lowly Blackpool who are 10 points adrift with 17 to play and look very unlikely to get back in it. Even though 'Pool have had a few draws recently they should pick up all points here.

Blackpool 0 - 2 Liverpool

EDIT : At the request of Jooles, ;)

  • Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton

Tottenham amazingly with the great squad they possess have yet to really get started this season and are currently just 4 points off the bottom 3. The team they play in Everton are fairing much better, just a single point off the summit. I can't see Spurs winning this one but they should, just about, avoid defeat.

Spurs 2 - 2 Toffees

  • West Ham United vs Manchester City

Hammers 2 - 1 Citeh

  • Bolton Wanderers vs Sunderland

Bolton 2 - 2 Sunderland

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

Plymouth VS Coventry

This is the game of the season two best sides in the division by a country mile and they will throw hammer and tong at each other for 3 vital points. plymouth have secured loans signings Abou diaby and Lorenzo de silvesti for this game so they should tip the balance but they have sold recently one of the 'invinvicbles' strikeforce in jaas huntaalar so this will disrupt they brillant attacking rythem but with recent signings of mammabou dabo , hedwiges maduro and marc janko plymouth's defensive side will have definately improved but they will have to rely on evergreen Edu to keep scoreing the goals. Coventry are superb all over the field they have a strong defence , a creative midfield and forwards scoreing plenty of goals and recent signing of nevan subotic young defensive star Coventry boss has signed a world class star there and they have kept this team together with there young superstar on superb form scoreing goals and creating goals and has been superb all season for Coventry.

With all this in mind I think Plymouth will win this game because of there premier league loanees tipping the balance and there defensive cover is now there but i think marc janko will be very important to the outcome he plays well plymouth win if not... we will see this is the best game in the COUNTRY

Plymouth 2 vs 1 coventry

Walsall vs Brentford

Brenford are on a good run of form have lost 1 in there last 6 games ( 2 freindlys! ha) but they are doing very well with a stat ive just looked up that there on song goalkeeper has won the man of the match in 3 consecetive games so they will need him on form to win this game against a walsall side that battered them 3 - 1 at the start of the season and i see walsall edgeing this one but very close game

Walsall 1 vs 0 Brentford

Millwall vs Colchester united

Millwall and colchester are 2 teams struggling at the wrong end of the table with boths teams on terrible form with millwall winning 2 from 9 games in all comps and colchester only winning 6 all season and loseing an amazing 18 games already!!! But both teams have very dedicated managers who are improveing all the time so they should stay up but this game will be a bore draw because they will both be playing for the draw and cancelling each other out

Millwall 0 vs 0 Colchester united

Huddersfield Town vs Charlton Athletic

Huddersfield are really picking there form up and they are really climbing the table again back in 4th and will need to be there best in attack to get anything out of a stingy charlton defence but they are playing like a good team so i can see them edgeing it just tho

Huddersfield Town 1 vs 0 Charlton Athletic

Bristol Rovers vs Rochdale

Bristol rovers are on cracking form there manager has really done wonders with his team picking up there morale and self confidence and its leading to good results on the pitch but they currently have enough on the pitch to beat a weak rochdale comfortablebly

Bristol Rovers 2 vs 0 Rochdale

other results

Notts County 2 vs 2 Milton Keynes Dons

Carlisle United 1 vs 0 Sheffield Wednesday

Peterborough United 1 vs 2 Crystal Palace

Southampton 3 vs 3 Shorpe United

AFC bournemouth 0 vs 2 Swindon

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

Division 4 Predictions | Turn 22

I will be doing the 4 most active managers and they will get detailed Predictions;

Accrington Stanley- SwanseaJack

Brighton Hove Albion-Ashh

Dag & Red - R0b Walshe

Bury - Lenny59

Accrington Stanley vs Southend United

Aidan Radford's Accrington Stanley have slipped down the table in recent weeks but one thing is certain, Radford wants the top spot back. Southend are doing well for themselves but I see radford's Stanley outdoing them tonight

Acc. Stanley 2-0 Southend Utd.

Tranmere Rovers vs Brighton and Hove Albion

Ashh's B&H are the sleeping giants of this division and with his latest big name recruits he will be expecting the 3 points against a lowly Tranmere Rovers who sit bottom of the division

Tranmere 0-3 B & H.A

Chesterfield vs Dagenham and Redbridge

Mr. Walshe's Dagenham have been the surprise package of the division, and I'm sure he wants it to continue in his quest to make the club one of the play off contenders.

Chesterfield 1-2 D&R

Yeovil Town vs Bury

Neil Matterson's impressive Bury are a team feared by many sides in the division but The man from yorkshire faces a fellow egotistical character in yeovil's manager Nathan Kirby who demands respect. I'm sure wisdom and greatness will prevail over over-arrogance and immaturity as Kirby's Yeovil are a team that get hurt easily and are also a side full of players who have come under pressure as they are a pampered bunvh of playes. Matterson will be hoping his modest side will continue their promotion push tonight.

Yeovil Town 1-3 Bury

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

The Npower Championship Predictions

- TURN 23 -

A look into tonight's action.

As we set to turn our sights onto the middle games of the season, we look at how the tables spanning out, with the top looking very close. From 12th to 20th, anyone of those teams could easily drop to the relegation zone with a bad run of form.

Forest continue to hold onto the top spot, only by 6 goals though, and they could lose top spot tonight away at high flying Watford, while Boro are at home to Burnley.

The top scorers in the league look to have dried up a bit, with Hulk edging infront by 1 goal on 16.

Hull City recorded the biggest win of the night on wedneday with a 6-0 thumping at home to Leicester City.

  • Middlesbrough (3) - (1) Burnley

- Jooles Dawson's '5 man team' seem to be doing the trick in the division, with 47 points racked up, I can see them continuing to get points tonight against an average Burnley side. 3-1.

  • Norwich City (2) - (1) Bristol City

- 2 teams on either side of the county clash tonight, and with Norwich's current position, i'm sure the fans will get behind them tonight and edge them on for a win against high flying Bristol City. 2-1.

  • Ipswich Town (2) - (0) Swansea City

- Another game with the clubs on either side of the country, Swansea's form is ridiculous, and I can't see it changing with Ipswich desperate to strengthen their position. 2-0.

  • Portsmouth (1) - (2) Leeds United

- Leeds travel to the slums of Fratton Park tonight in search of a much needed win to keep up with the play-off pack, and it's exactly what I predict they'll do. 1-2.

  • Queens Park Rangers (1) - (1) Preston North End

- QPR's good form was halted last week, with 3 wins on the trot now 2 draws and a loss, they will want to take full advantage of PNE's current position and get all 3 points, but both will cancel eachother out. 1-1.

  • Doncaster Rovers (4) - (1) Sheffield United

- Doncasters form will win this game for them, they will have too much momentum for the Blades and should win comfortably. 4-1.

  • Watford (1) - (3) Nottingham Forest

This game is probably the most exciting for along time, a vital game for both sides, but I think Forest will edge it due to being top and in need of a win, 1-2.

  • Reading (0) - (3) Cardiff City

- Reading will be able to do nothing in order to stop Cardiff tonight, Cardiff will enjoy this game being up against bottom of the table and their confidence/morale will be low and Cardiff are going to add to the misery for the Royals. 0-3.

  • Leicester City (0) - (0) Barnsley

- This game has a draw written all over it, both sides struggling for form and neither have had any outstanding performances this season, both will cancel eachother out and will end up a dull result. 0-0.

  • Derby County (1) - (2) Hull City

- Hull have just started to pick up form under new boss David Belkevitz, and will continue tonight against Derby County, who lurk above the relegation spots, with only 22 points. 1-2.

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

Division 3 Predictions

Turn 23

Milton Keynes Dons VS Bristol Rovers

MKD are on fairly even form, getting 9 points from a possible 15 in their last 5 games. They are currently sitting in fourth place in the table and are pushing for promotion. They are likely to be playing a 3-4-1-2 with their CAM pulling the strings up front. Bristol on the other hand are in 7th place, 3 points away from MKD. They have had 3 managers so far and seem to be third time lucky, their current manager has been the most successful of the three and you just get the feeling it's the manager who's going to win it. Their form is similar to that of MKD, having lost 2 of their last 5 games and winning the rest this is going to be a scrappy battle and I just favour Bristol to win it.

Milton Keynes Dons 1 - 2 Bristol Rovers

Sheffield Wednesday VS Notts County

Sheffield Wednesday have started to click in their last two games. Having beaten both Bournemouth and Carlisle 3-1 in their last two matches, they will be looking at making it a hat-trick of 3-1 wins, and they will certainly be licking their lips when they see Notts' absolutely dreadful form. Having gained just 3 points from their last 5 games, their run is starting to look like that of Derby's. Languishing at the bottom of the table, they'll be looking to pick themselves up and scurry away from the drop zone. However I don't believe they'll be gaining any points today.

Sheffield Wednesday 3 - 1 Notts County

Plymouth Argyle VS Carlisle United

Plymouth seem to be cruising and on their way to promotion, with a 7 point gap between them and third place Shorpe. Carlisle are in ninth and seem to be settling for a spot in mid table. Argyle are the in form team with just one loss (against first placed Coventry) in their last 11 games. This is while Carlisle Have one just once in their last 5 games. Carlisle don't have very fond memories of their last match against Plymouth. They were thrashed emphatically 5-2 at home, and now that they're travelling to Plymouth, they wont be expecting much of a result.

Plymouth Argyle 4 - 1 Carlisle United

Swindon Town VS Coventry City

It's David VS Goliath. And this time it looks like Goliath is going to win. Coventry are sitting on top of the table, their only competition being Plymouth. Swindon on the other hand are just out of the relegation zone and are looking to stay out. Coventry seem to have made a shrewd move when they acquired the services of their mastermind manager, Dan Griffin. After 25 games, he has the most points of all 4 divisions. This one's going to be a walkover, and judging by their recent form, my prediction is:

Swindon Town 0 - 3 Coventry City

Crystal Palace VS AFC Bournemouth

8 Points separate the sides, with Palace on top. The last time these two sides met, it was in a feisty 2-1 encounter which Palace won. Bournemouth travel to London today with revenge on their mind. They certainly wouldn't mind being a bit higher up in the table. Palace after a series of draws and losses are starting to click again and so today won't be the day when Bournemouth get revenge. Both sides will cancel each other out. I predict a few cards too.

Crystal Palace 1 - 1 AFC Bournemouth

Brentford VS Peterborough United

This will be an all out aggressive, attacking, leg breaking, mind blowing battle.. ok I'm using too many superlatives :o

Peterborough were the first victims of the dreaded MR. HAMMER and till today carry his mark. Chazza the HAMMER slayer is however slowly but surely purging that stain. They seem to be slipping though, with a 3-0 loss to Palace in their last fixture. They travel away to London today, with a win on their minds. Brentford wont be making this easy though, having won their last 4 competitive fixtures, they will be looking to make this a hard five and I honestly don't see Posh being able to stop the Londoners when they're in this type of form.

Brentford 2 - 1 Peterborough United

Shorpe United VS Walsall

Shorpe are leading the playoff spots by goal difference while Walsall sit in 12th with a goal difference of just 1. Shorpe however seem to be drawing a lot of games lately and are unable to find that winning goal. Walsall have drawn their last two games and this looks like a straightforward win or loss for me. I'll have to say there'll be a small shock to the scoreline today with Walsall just nicking this one.

Shorpe United 0 - 1 Walsall

Colchester VS Southampton

The Saints will be travelling to Colchester today to play against the pride of Colchester (:D), Colchester. Previously managed by "Ali-The-Sannee", Colchester were left abandoned until Daniel Dragovic picked them up. After having a horrible run of getting just 1 point in 7 consecutive games, they are just starting to win. The Saints have a potent attack and solid defense on paper, but they haven't been able to click recently. This is a must win game for them if they wish to have a chance of gaining promotion this season, and frankly, I don't think they'll make it. Colchester to continue their winning run.

Colchester 3 - 2 Southampton

Charlton Athletic VS Millwall

Charlton are the dark horses in this competition. With what one would call a relatively inexperienced manager, they have managed to find themselves chasing promotion. Their manager reminds me a lot of Arsene Wenger back in 1996 and his second placed finish in his first season. Arthur Antunes looks likely to emulate him. Charlton have found a good rhythm with just 1 loss in their last 10 games including a win against tottenham on penalties, they will be looking to add to their tally with a win against Millwall. Craig Braidwood (Who reminds me of Brad Sherwood >.<), Millwall's new manager is herding his team away from the relegation zone with just 1 point separating his team and Colchester. Their form hasn't been the best in their last 5 games and I don't expect that to change.

Charlton Athletic 2 - 0 Millwall

Rochdale VS Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield, currently sitting in 5th place in the table will be travelling to Rochdale with the hope of them getting all 3 points and boosting their bid for promotion. Rochdale on the other hand just wish to survive and will be looking to play on the counter, with damage limitation being their main priority. The squad they possess has depth, but not too mush strength in key areas. After recently appointing veteran manager Gary Mack, Rochdale will be renewing their bid to surviving the drop zone. I'm sure in a few seasons there shall be banners displayed across the grounds saying "In Gary we trust" after he leads them away from the relegation zone.

Rochdale 0 - 0 Millwall

Hope you enjoyed my predictions :)

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

Premier League Predictions Turn Twenty Four

  • Manchester United vs Manchester City

This at the start of the season could have been a crucial tie in terms of the title but due to City's awful run in the league they need the win just to stay up. United have been on an extremely good run of 5 straight wins and with it have finally climbed into the top four just 4 points behind leaders Liverpool. Being at home against an out of form City I only see one result.

Utd 4 - 0 Citeh

  • Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Newcastle United

This game after the first few games would have been a formality for Newcastle but recently Wolves have very much improved. They currently have 5 wins in their last 6 played and are way off the relegation battle now. Newcastle on the other hand have never been outside the top 5-6 all season because of very good form and right now sit behind the leaders by just 3 points. This looks a very close game to call with both sides on fire but I''m gonna just edge Wolves.

Wolves 2 - 1 Toon

  • West Ham United vs Everton

These two sides are both doing well in the league and are separated by just 2 points in the league. West ham though have dropped quite badly of late losing 4 out of the last 6. Overall I back them to win this game and climb back into the top 4.

West Ham 2 - 0 Everton

  • Arsenal vs Stoke City

Arsenal with their very strong squad should be performing much better than they are but are still way off challenging for the title. Stoke have recently had a long run of draws end in a defeat which has seen them drop down the table. Arsenal won the previous game away so at home they should do this with ease.

Arsenal 3 - 0 Stoke

  • Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea

Spurs have definitely got better of late with 3 back to back wins but moving into the top 10 is still a must if it's to be a meaningful season. Their opponents in Chelsea have had horrible form recently with just 1 win in 6, 7 points off the top four with 15 to play. Tottenham recorded a good 2-1 win in the last meeting and I predict the same score for this game.

Spurs 2 - 1 Chelsea

  • Bolton Wanderers vs Liverpool

The away side today in Liverpool have been in tremendous form recently with an 8 game unbeaten run in all competitions, this see's them sit at the summit of Div 1 3 points ahead of the rest. Bolton will be very happy with 10th place if they can hold onto it. Liverpool got the last game won 2-1 but this time it should be easier.

Bolton 0 - 3 'Pool

  • Blackpool vs Wigan Athletic

These two clubs have had fairly poor seasons, although Blackpool's is a lot worse than Wigan's as they sit 12 points off safety with 15 to play. Wigan are closer to the top ten than relegation which is a positive and something to aim for. With 'Pools truly awful form I can only see one realistic result.

Blackpool 0 - 2 Wigan

  • Fulham vs Birmingham City

Fulham 2 - 1 Brum

  • Aston Villa vs Sunderland

Villa 2 - 2 Sunderland

  • West Bromwich Albion vs Blackburn Rovers

Baggies 1 - 2 Rovers

Re: English Championship 7046 Previews & Predictions Thread

Oldham Athletic vs Dagenham & Redbridge

The league leaders Oldham would be looking for a good win, but face a tricky game with Play-off pushers Dagenham. D&Rs form recently has been good, with 11 points out of 18, while Oldham have 15 out of 18. With Jason Scotland scoring freely, the away side will struggle to keep a clean sheet, despite their impressive defence conceding only 23 goals this season, the joint best defence in the league with Hartlepool. With their good home form, I'd expect a victory for Oldham

Prediction - Oldam 2 - 0 D&R

Leyton Orient vs Northampton Town

The home side will be looking for a win to try and force their way into the autmoatic play-off position, while Northampton need to keep winning to keep their play-off push alive. With the Home advantage and superior team, it'll be a tough game for Northampton to take anything out of this one

Prediction - Leyton 3 - 0 Northampton

Rotherham United vs Bury

High Flyers Bury take on stugglers Rotherham at Don Valley. Bury should look to see of the second from bottom side easily and continue their push for champions. Despite being the much superior side, Bury's away side has been very up and down, and Rotherhams home form hasnt been too bad. I think a wee shock could be on the cards?

Prediction - Rotherham 1 - 1 Bury

Yeovil Town vs Brighton and Hove Albion

Both sides are play off challengers, so this would be a big win for whoever comes out on top. Brighton have a massivly better squad, and should be doing much better than they currently are. Home advantage could prove vital as both have been equally good at home and bad away. I think this could be a tight game.

Prediction - Yeovil 2 - 1 Brighton

Gillingham vs Southend United

Gillinghams home form has been brilliant recently, while Southend have been also been good away from home. Both of these sides are outsiders to finsih in the play off zone, but a win would be a big help. Both sides have decent sides, but with Gillinghams star striker out for a long time, Southend could stop the good run at home for Gillignham

Prediction - Gillingham 1 - Southend 1

Tranmere Rovers vs Wycombe Wanderers

With Tranmere starting to pick up form under Andrew Breon, but Wycombe are looking to keep their final play off place. This should be an interesting game, which could see Wycombe rise or drop. I think Tranmeres good form could come to and end, and Wycombe should see this side off

Prediction - Tranmere 1 - 2 Wycombe

Accrington Stanley vs Hartlepool Town

A big clash here, as 4th take on 5th place. i think will be a very tough game, but also a very tight one. Hartlepools defence has been solid this season, and Accrington will have to throw everything at them to score. I think Hartlepool might be too strong for Accrington

Prediction - Accrington 1 -2 Hartlepool

Stockport County vs Aldershot Town

Stockport will struggle in this one, as they've had a fairly poor season so far. Aldershot should have enough fire power to see them off, and I think it could be a fairly big win

Prediction - Stockport 0 - 3 Aldershot

Other matches

Chesterfield 1 - 4 Exeter

Burton 1 - 1 Shrewsbury

BC Cliffs.....

With the table now having takne its shape we look ahead to the out comes of the up coming games tonight and we see what impact the results have on each team

Middlesbrough vs Norwich City

Middlesbrough: have recently taken over top spot in division two weather or not you think its down to their own accord or Forest's bad dip in form, they are top and thats the place they will be hoping to stay come the end of the seaosn. They signed the players that will no question be good enough for the championship and even the premier league but theres been talk Middlesbrough are only a 5-man team... I think the other players will been keen to prove that talk wrong. I say it ever week and ill say it again though under some pressure by watford i think Middlesbrough and Forest will still have thoes 2 top spots.

Prediction: Middlesbrough 3-0 Norwich City

Bristol City Vs Ipswich Town

Ipswich 5th in the league and will hope to stay there. I say that because i believe they are good enough for the top 6 but i dont think they have what it takes to push on for automatic promotion with watford also pushing hard i think it would be in Ipswich Town's best option to stay and confirm there play-off place rather then go all out and risk slipping. However if they overcome Unmanaged Bristol 4th sopt is theres.

Prediction: Bristol City 2-2 Ipswich

Swansea vs Pompy

Swansea in the bottom 3 and really with that team it dosent come as a shock but at the same time i wouldnt expect that team to be in the slums, They have a small senior squad which is what i think is the problem youth is nice to have but i think the lack the experiance to cope with relegation, so that falls on the older players shoulders and currently they are not coping and their form is shocking. However they are only 1 point of safety and with Norwich up against middlesbrough they have a chance to claw there way out.

Predicton: Swansea 0-1 Pompy

Leeds Vs QPR

QPR chucking along nicely now in the league and they are no the up.. 7th place in the league and i feel the play-off is their best chance of promotion their form of late has been good and they will be hoping all the uncertainty at bristol city will work in their best interest.

Prediction: Leeds 0-2 QPR

Watford Vs Sheffield UTD

Watford have in all fairness shocked me and the rest of england, Their Ex-Manager left them in the dumps in debt and on the ropes but their new manager has been a breath of fresh air... Turning the club's money problems around signing the right players wages wise and results on the pitch have been great 3rd in the table and a threat to the top 2 dogs Middlesbrough and Forest who have been sitting in thoes highs for so long now, I had said that i fancy them two to stay there BUT watford are giving me problems in sticking to what i say.. If and its a big if One of the top to were to fall from their perch then i expect watford to gladly slip into their place and in fairness it would be just deserved.

Sheffield United sitting mid-table 8 points of the place-offs at the start of the season i would have tipped them for play-off glory, they havent got going stoping and starting unable to find the goals to push them on and that shows in their goal difference. I think they should settle for MidTable this season buy the players they need at the end of the season and push on in the next season.

Prediction: Watford 3-1 Sheffield United

Barnsley Vs Derby

Derby 14th and will want to aviod relegation they are cutting it close and as i said its a dog fight down there teams have pulled away but not fully yet, Derby fall into that criteria they need to keep strong pick up 4 or 5 wins and todays game against bottom of the table Barnsley will be a must win and can win game in their minds and points away from home and i fancy them to stop up, I think pushing for promotion next season is on the cards but they will need to ship out a few players first.

Prediction: Barnsley 0-1 Derby

Burnely Vs Hull City

Hull have pushed away from danger and i believe a few more wins will do it, Next season will be make or break for them as it will be their second season away from the top flight and i feel they will want a return to the promised land asap.

Prediction: Burnely 2-1 Hull

Forest Vs Reading

Forest have fallen and bad their form has been shot to bits and they have lost top spot, they are clear of 3rd place watford however so alarm bells should not be ringing yet.. I tipped them to stay in the top two and i will carry on doing so, They have the manager the squad and the odd player or two to get up into the top flight. Question is as Champions or Runners-up ?

Prediction: Forest 3-0 Reading
