Stevie Blade 1,437
Re: Leeds United FC Leeds 4 0 Huddersfield Leeds continued their seemingly unstoppable charge back towards the Championship with a crushing 4-0 win over local rivals Huddersfield on Saturday. The home side dominated the League One lunchtime kick-off and comfortably saw off the Terriers. Jonathan Douglas' strike put them 1-0 up after 24 minutes, a lead they carried into the interval. Jermaine Beckford doubled the advantage four minutes into the second half and the striker then took his tally to 13 for the season to make it 3-0. Former Chelsea ace Tore Andre Flo, just on as a substitute, completed the rout three minutes from time to seal a win which lifts Leeds up to third in the table - for a few hours at least. col lufc # 3,648
Re: Leeds United FC Dennis Wise may join Kevin Keegan in Mike Ashley's Newcastle United revolution. Wise has become the leading contender to become director of football in a European-style management structure, working with Keegan on the recruitment of players and having authority over every aspect of the football side of the club except the first team, according to Daniel King of the Daily Mail. However, Ken Bates is unlikely to let Wise, a close friend, go without a fight, with the Whites in a good position for promotion from League One despite starting the season with a 15-point deduction. The Mail states a well-placed source claims Wise is the man Ashley wants, ahead of more experienced coaches like Gerard Houllier. The job would give Wise massive responsibility and would give Ashley a decent caretaker, or replacement, if Keegan were to make a sudden decision to walk away, as is his want. The key man in the Wise story is Tony Jimenez, a property dealer and football Mr Fixit who first came to public attention when The Mail On Sunday revealed his crucial role in Tottenham's capture of Juande Ramos

I was a Leeds fan in the good part of this decade, still am but it would help having Cable to see them play. Still follow their results (Also have been a Liverpool fan for ages, but am getting sick of the coach and the Spanish players whining). Good to see another Aussie in Leeds (Kilkenny, also in the Olyroos squad for Beijing).
