Dean89 3,097
English Championship 106 Under-23 Youth Cup Season 12/13 The Youth Cup has been part of EC106 tradition and this season edition, the tournament will be slightly different from the previous two editions. In the previous Youth Cup, there were group stages and knockout rounds for the top two winners of each group. This new upcoming Youth Cup, for the first time, there will be no group stages and all teams will go through knockout stages. On each knockout round, there will be two legs to be played; home and away. Aggregate scoreline will be used from both legs to decide the winner. Away goal will be activated if both team ended with a draw after the 2 legs. However, if both teams ended with similar draw (e.g 1-1) on both home and away games, the first goal in the first leg will decide the winner. In the first round, there will be bye to some teams, depending on the number of teams participated. The rules for the tournament are as follows. - Players born from 1 January 1988 onwards are eligible to play. - Born in 1993 -> Can play - Born in 1992 -> Can play - Born in 1991 -> Can play - Born in 1990 -> Can play - Born in 1989 -> Can play - Born in 1988 -> Can play - Born in 1987 -> Cannot play - Born in 1986 -> Cannot play - No rating limit. (60 to 99) - No players limit. Managers need to field players born on 1st January 1988 onwards, simple! If the home team field ineligible player(s), the away team will be given a 1-0 victory in that leg. Vice versa. If both teams fielded ineligible players, the match result will remain as in the game play. So if you are the home team and have sent a request, do your job to post about the request in this thread. Vice versa. The team who failed to send/accept match request will be disqualified from the whole tournament. So if you think your young generation team have what it takes to compete in this prestigious Youth Cup, send your Forum name, Club name to me via VM/in-game PM by this Friday. Alternatively, you may include your Forum name and Club name in this thread or on the group discussion. No PM please (my PM is nearly full, sorry) *Do take note in the changes in age limit. If anyone unclear about the rules and the tournament procedure, do let me know. I'm more than happy to explain again.*

Unfortunately, he's not eligible for the youth cup. Players born on 1 January 1990 or later, are eligible.

We could loosen the age gap and have a go at Under-23 instead of Under-21 Youth Cup. What say you? I'll need all the participated teams to give a vote on this. Thank you

(?) is there because I may not register him to play in the youth cup if there is a squad limit. I dont really want to sign someone purely for the competition, so if I can make a team with the players I have, I'll stick with them, even if it means playing Collins, who's rated 70.
