Spartak Moskva batter Dnipro!

Dnipro 0-7 Spartak Moskva

On Wednesday night, Spartak Moskva's first team traveled to the Meteor Stadium to face a unmanaged Dnipro side. If Spartak Moskva won tonight, which manager Louis Mattis felt they could easily do, they would remain three points clear at the top of the table. Spartak Moskva dominated 68% possession, with 22 out of 42 shots on target.

The first of a feast of goals hit the back of the net in the 1st minute, Alberto Aquilani hitting a powerful shot off the bar and into the back of the net to get Spartak Moskva off to a great start. Spartak Moskva doubled there lead on 10 minutes, Luis Jimenez finishing neatly inside the box. Spartak Moskva made it 3-0 on 24 minutes, Jimenez bagging his second of the night slotting home after some neat footwork. Brazilian Alves Assis Jo made it 4-0 on the half a hour mark rising above his marker and heading the ball into the back of the net. The score was 4-0 at half time.

(Aquilani, Jimenez (2), and Jo all scored for Spartak Moskva in the first half)

Spartak Moskva had this game in the bag when they came out in the second half. But they wanted to show manager Louis Mattis what they could really do. They scored the 5th goal of the night on the hour mark, Dmitri Torbinsky finishing cleverly. The score was 6-0 3 minutes later, Jo scoring his second of the night hitting the ball with venom into the roof of the net. Spartak Moskva were reduced to 10 men on 71 minutes, Diego Herner shouting abusive language, earning himself a second yellow, and a trip into the tunnel. But despite that, Spartak Moskva scored the 7th and final goal in the 81st minute, Jo completing his wonderful hat-trick poking the ball past the defender into the back of the net after a goalmouth scramble.

News from the Santiago Bernabeu

Real Madrid are back in the title race this season after a fairly dissapointing 6th place finish last season. The Spanish shield was not enough for the fans and Payne knew what was expected going into a new season.

Payne spent little time in the transfer market and his work in the market has yet to stop with the most recent signing of Wesley Sneijder.

Real Madrid's Transfer Movement this season

Major Players In:

Adebayor for £10,000,000m + Marcell Jansen, Yoan Gouffran

Westermann for Amelia, Bravo

Sneijder for £10,000,000m + Trezeguet, Maidana

Major Players Out:

Rodrigo Alex for £10,000,000m + Zapata

Real boss Dan Payne recently reiterated his desire to improve his defence and midfield and is willing to consider transfers including:

Simao 93

Moutinho 91

Mancini 91

Guardado 91

Jorge Andrade 92

Heitinga 91

Salgado 88

Diego Lopez 89

He is looking to improve his squad with these players and is less likely to listen to offers for these players. Defence is key and with the favoured formation, Payne is looking for more centeral based midfielders. A right back is top priorety in defence.

Payne On Tonights Game

" Tonights game is against Real Madrid Castilla in the spanish shield which we are the holder's off and although I and the club want to win every trophy available for us to win, I believe tonights game should be taken more lightly and reserves will feature on the most part as we aim for domestic and domestic cup glory first.

Payne On the League

We have been in good form and pushing for a top finish which I expect to be at worst runner's up. We as always face tough competition from the tactical miester that is Simon (SOP) at Atletico Madrid and Andy down at Barcelona.

Another team who I expect to be a top team in the coming seasons and make the top 3 in Spain a top 4 is Sevilla.

They are a team who poseses half as much talent as my squad but double the rest of the league and Im aware of this . Thanh is a good manager and know's how to cut a deal too. He is one to watch out for.

Payne on recent results

Real Madrid 1-0 Deportivo

Most recently a 1-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna with a debut goal from Wesley and a top performance from the man of the match Iker Casillas proving once again he is the best in the league.

Real Madrid 1-1 Zaragoza

Previous to that a 1-1 draw with Zaragoza who are rumored to be in talks with Madrid over Pepe. Another dissapointing game for the strikers and was the reason for a slight change in tactics in the Deportivo game.

Real Madrid 3-1 Valencia

A good win over an under achieveing club. In opinion Valencia would perform better if they brought someone else in if you know what I mean. Two goals from Drogba, the last striker to score in a league game for us.

Real Madrid 4-2 Espanyol

A good start to a game from a quick firing Madrid who were 3-0 up come 16 minutes in the game. We fell asleep and were too comfortable with the lead 1/3 of the way into the game when Espanyol grabbed two goals in quick succession. But Iniesta put the game to bed just after the half way stage of the game.

Next we face Racing Santander who sit 19th in the league in a game which I expect to again feild a weaker side.

Fire In Madrid!

real_madrid_logo.jpg

Real Madrid were on fire tonight as they hit 9 goals past Racing Santander as they jumped into second position in the league as Payne once again aims to take the glory in La Liga.

De Rossi grabbed a hat-trick from a defensive midfielder position showing Madrid's power in counter attack. Adebayor, Mancini, Drogba, Zapata, Torres and Simao all bagged goals in the bananza.

Payne was seen drinking champagne in the dressing room with the boys after the game after an amazing performance from the team and coaching staff in the recent weeks.

Payne tonight admitted he was no longer looking to sell Mancini after the player asked for a meeting with the manager. Its believed he asked for more time to impress over the season before his fate was decided.

Re: Gold Championship 6

Easy does it in Madrid

Real Madrid beat Real Betis 3-1 on Saturday night and scored possibly the goal of the season when Maxwell volleyed in on the edge of the box after a great team move. The goal was assisted by the second Madrid goal scorer, Mancini.

The goal follow's the brief highlights of the Barca game against Mallorca which finished 3-1 to Barca.

The other goals came from Mancini and Drogba while Betis got their goal from Brighi in the 15th minute to put the game to 1-1 before seeing the game go totally against them.

Crunch game goes Spartak's way!

Spartak Moskva 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

Spartak Moskva and Shakhtar Donetsk seemed to be the only two teams fighting for the Eastern European league this season, and they met eachother tonight in one of the biggest games of the season. If Spartak won they would go top of the table, and if Shakhtar Donestk won, they would go three points clear at the top of the table, Spartak Moskva were the home team so they had the upper advantage. Spartak manager Louis Mattis featured his second team ahead of there clash against Dai Winston's Middlesbrough on Friday. 76,967 fans watched the game at the Luzhniki. Spartak Moskva dominated 58% possession, with 6 out of 17 shots on target.

One goal decided the game tonight for Spartak Moskva to send them two points clear at the top of the Eastern European league, the goal came from Egor Titov who tapped the ball into the back of the net after the ball came crashing down onto the bar on 43 minutes to give Spartak Moskva one of there most important victories of the season.

Re: Gold Championship 6

Its a funny old game!

Middlesbrough manager Dai Winston has said how funny he thinks the game of football is after his team have almost progressed to the knockout stages of the SMFA Cup.

Borough were drawn in a pretty tough group, with a good Stuttgart team, Newcastle and a strong Spartak Moskve team managed by Louis Mattis. Winston and Mattis spend hours chatting on MSN and Dai finds it funny how much Louis went on about how much he was only concentrating on the SMFA Cup this season. While on the other hand, Winston has always said he will play a very weak second team throughout and that the league is the priority.

The scoreline tonight was Boro's 2nds 3 - 2 Spartak's 1st's which is quite funny as that condemns Spartak to not being able to make it out of the group and sees Boro finish second even if we lose and Newcastle win then they have to score 3 more goals than me. It is possible I know but I just wanted to gloat about Louis! Sorry mate!

Its a funny old game!

No goals were scored in the first half, as Spartak Moskva didn't have there finishing boots on which meant the score was 0-0 at half time.

Spartak Moskva wrapped up the game in the 87th minute, Brazilian Santos Mozart nodding the ball into the back of the net to keep Spartak Moskva's two point lead at the top of the table.

Re: Gold Championship 6

Payne calls for the boot!!!

Real Madrid boss Dan Payne has today revealed his desire for a rival boss to be sacked!

Payne spoke earlier on sky sports news about how he hated to see such an illustrious club go down the pan, even though they are rivals of his Real side.

Manchester United currently sit in Division 2 of the English game and Payne believes current manager, Callum Evans, has no intentions what so ever to try and boost the clubs hopes of regaining its status as one of the best clubs in the world.

'I have managed Real for a few years now and have sent numerous messages to Callum about players but have never seen any kind of reply. I have also made ton's of offer's for the clubs players which have been ignored.'

Payne later said he had hoped by now the Man Utd chairman would have stepped in and called for a change of staff but nothing of the sort has surfaced thus far.

It is believed that Payne's struggle for a world class centre half is the reason for this outburst and attack on the Man Utd boss.

Drogba looking to hit the hay elsewhere

breaking-news.gif

SM Sports News has reason to believe that Didier Drogba of Real Madrid is looking to end his career elsewhere tonight. The striker has never really hit his full potential while at Madrid and he is looking to go elsewhere before he hangs up his boots.

Madrid would need a replacement 93+ and another 90+ depending on the players it is rumored.

The Flamengo manager Phil Luney is in the market for a 90+ rated GK,F and CB,he has a few good players he will P/E for the right people and cash is no object, when asked why the sudden assault on the transfer market Phil replied "As you well know Kate we did the domestic treble last season and fell at the quater-final stage of the Champions Cup to a great AEK Athens team on penalties who then went on to win it,so this season expectation from the fans and board was sky high.Unfortunately we have not met that expectation and i feel we need to bring in some new faces to freshen up the changing room and some established names and young players with amazing potential will have to go before i do";):)
