leamingtonsteve 820
Re: Gold Championship 6 League Division Two Coventry City 2 - 0 Derby County A Michael Mifsud brace saw Coventry celebrating there first win of GC6. Mifsud netted in each half to settle a comfortable contest which saw Derby achieve no shots on target. His first was a simple header and his second an even simpler toe poke amidst a goalmouth scramble. League Division Two Coventry City 1 - 1 Burnley Coventry were unlucky not to record back to back wins as Burnley netted late on to save a point. Pierre Van Hooijdonk's low shot beat keeper Coyne on 16minutes leaving the sky blue army chanting the dutch strikers name. Unabale to add to that Coventry conceded the equaliser on 78 as Alan Mahon rose higher than any other to leave the points shared. After five games Coventry are 9th with six points. tom-aldinho 64
Donacster v Northampton Doncaster 1-0 Northampton Doncaster defended their 4 match unbeaten streak at the Keepomat Stadium after defeating Northampton. New signings Jonathan Orozco and Jorge Torres were insperational in this game, as they played masterfully at such young ages, the two of them are 20. Orozco pulled off many, many insperational saves between the Doncaster sticks. Bruce Dyer headed home the winner in the 53rd minute after some crafty dribbling and a neat cross from Jorge Torres. Bruce Dyer got Man of the Match after nabbing the winner.

bryan 454
Re: Gold Championship 6 Valencia 3-0 Salamanca There was nearly a full house at the Mestalla for this Spanish Cup 1st round game. Valencia manager Bryan Adamson continued his unbeaten run which now is 6 games without defeat. An easy tap-in from a yard from Vicente gave Valencia the lead but had to wait until the 37th minute to get it. In the second half a surprise goal from Asier Del Horno gave the home team a 2-nil lead when he nonchalantly lobbed it over the keeper. Some excellent passing left David Albelda clear on goal and he finished with ease. The win means Valencia go into the second round of the Spanish Cup where they will meet Villarreal under the management of the legendary Fraser McInnes, this match up will surely be a test of Bryan Adamson's managerial ability. An amazing noise from the away crowd amused Tom which he says could be a desisve factor towards the 'big' parts of the season. " Realistically if your a maanger here or anywhere int he top ranks of the world and country, you wouldnt make the cup your number 1 priority,"," Were 4th in the table and can easily start a magin in the top 3 if we win our next few matches, The win against Kaaiserlaturen was massive, they know it was a big one and so did we,"," But the cup is not anything a top club wants to concentrate on, Europe and league finishing certainly is," Tom's Hamburger meet up with Kaaiserlaturen again for a place in the third round of the german cup which toms admitts could be abit of a compeitive game," The match against Kaiserlaturen will be at their ground and i belive were in europe around thattime too so new men will be performaing for them type of games i belive," His first game ever in the Champions Cup in his entire career will be a nasty tie with Navdeep Sandhu's Shaktar on May 4th 2007. bryan 454
Re: Gold Championship 6 Celta Vigo 2-0 Valencia Valencia manager Bryan Adamson suffered his first defeat in all competitions when his side were beaten by Celta Vigo. Valencia put out a weaker team than usual due to players playing in the spanish cup and this cost them big time. Two goals for Fernando Baiano gave Celta Vigo all 3 points. This set back now leaves Valencia in 5th position in the league and are now 5 points behind leaders Zaragoza who are still undefeated under manager Danny Williams. tom-aldinho 64
Re: Gold Championship 6 Bristol City 2-2 Doncaster Rovers Doncaster Rovers travelled to the Ashton Gate stadium in this close Division 3 clash. Bristol made home advantage count when da silva Ferreria Edilson put them in front after 26 minutes. Doncaster equalised on 46 minutes through a da Silva Ricardo Jesus 30 yard volley. Ricardo Jesus put Doncaster in front on the hour mark with another volley, he waited back post as Jorge Torres. It would have been 2-2 sooner if Jonathan Orozco hadn't of made spectacular save from a Mista screamer volley. But Mista did score the equaliser on 78 minutes where he skillfully chipped the advancing keeper. Mista also got the man of the match award.

bryan 454
Re: Gold Championship 6 Valencia 0-0 Levante Surprisingly Valencia manager Bryan Adamson went with his reserve team for tonights game. A pretty uneventful first half was only spiced up when Robert had a great opportunity from 6 yards out but he managed to hit it high and wide. Caballero was sent off for Levante 5 minutes into the second half after shouting abuse at the referee and kicking the ball away. Both teams ad chances to win the game but neither had the end product. The draw now leaves Valencia in 7th place in the table with a couple of days rest before their next game against Getafe.

The first half was very uneventful and the game didn't liven up until the 70th minute when David Villa scored because a mix-up in defence. Things were looking good for Valencia until the 88th minute when Daniel Guiza headed powerfully past the keeper. Valencia manager Bryan Adamson was said to be very angry after his match and refused to give a post match interview. Valencia now sit 7th in the Spanish table.

They have had 7 wins and only 1 draw which means that they are now 8 games unbeaten. In there last game against Recreativo Huelva they won 3 - 1 at home, with Milto scoring 2 and taking man of the match. Florent SINAMA-PONGOLLE scored the only goal for Recreativo Huelva on 84 mins restoring some pride from the defeat.
The Original Gooner 1,284
Re: Gold Championship 6 AC Milan are currently sitting in 12th of Serie A with only 10 points of 8 games. They are 10 points behind the leaders Torino. Milan lost 1-0 at the hands of Siena away from home, with the only goal of the game coming from Siena's Frick who got man of the match with a rating of 8. Siena had a great chance to make it 2-0 when LOCATELLI was clean through but Dida made an excellent save to, at that point keep them in the game. Sadly it wasn't to be and with only 7 goals in 8 games i would recommend bringing in a top quality striker (95+ rating) to get the ball in the back of the net.

Piotr Trochwoski got the games only goal in the 79th minuit. Up to that point they were poor in areas but Tom's just 'thrilled' with the responce and 'never-giving-up'ness in the side." The lads keep making chances from all angles but wernt finishing them,"," In the end it took brilliance and that what im hapy about," Tom's side sit nicely in 3rd position ( last slot for champs cup) he says its a 'par' performance of a top 3 which will make their season fit as ncie as he expects. Next up for Tom's mighty hamburgers its the Hannover 96 trip to the AOL Areana ( home of hamburg). Scorers; Piotr Trochowski x1 (79)
leamingtonsteve 820
Re: Gold Championship 6 ENGLISH CUP Round One Coventry City 1 - 1 QPR QPR win on penalties The English cup ended at hurdle one for Coventry as they became victims of the cruelty that is the penalty shoot out. Going down to a 5th minute goal from Mauro Milanese, Coventry bounced back before the half time whistle after Leon McKenzie struck with ease. There was too be no change in the scoreline so the game was decided on penalties which QPR comfortably won. LEAGUE division two Cardiff City 2 - 1 Coventry City After the pain of being dumped out of the cup things didnt get any better back in the league after Cardiff kept the points at Ninian Park. A Joe Ledley double with the winner coming on 88 were seperated by Leon McKenzies second goal in as many games but it wasnt enough. LEAGUE division two Coventry City 2 - 1 West Brom Something finally for City fans to cheer as they overcame West Brom at the Ricoh to notch a important win. Sebastian Larsson scored twice and deserved the MOM award for his efforts in this game. Diomansy Kamara grabbed what was to be the consolation goal for the visitors. LEAGUE division two Crystal Palace 0 - 5 Coventry City Coventry unleashed there recent torments on a poor Palace side who have been managerless for some time and in a bit of a mess. Any team that lets five in against Coventry must be said LS as he had Cozza, Van Hooijdonk, Selcuk and two from Mifsud to thank for this great win.
