GeorgeECFC 4,430
Re: Gold Championship 6 Fenerbache 1 - 1 Sporting Fenerbache win 3 - 1 on penalties The mysterious performances of Fenerbache's reserves/youngsters continues with a quarter final win over Sporting. Fenerbache have been trying to get knocked out since the first round, desperate to get the amount of games down, but that plan hasn't worked with them progressing further and further. Sporting took the lead on 8mins through Carlose Bueno but Zengin Kerim equalised a few minutes later. The game finished a 1-1 and went to penalties, with Fenerbache winning that. Fenerbache's semi final opponents will be Sporting Braga, Fenerbache having the advantage of being at home.

GeorgeECFC 4,430
Re: Gold Championship 6 Fenerbache 5 - 0 Sporting Fenerbache enjoy another win over a full strength Sporting team, by playing a mixture of first teamers and reserves, in a night which saw Fenerbache go 1st in the Mediterranean League. Fenerbache were two up at half-time, with goals from Boral Ugur and debutant Mikael Forssell. They could of settled for that, but they decided to go for more, with 2nd half goals from Yozgatli Mehmet, Thomas Helveg and another from Forssell. Mikael Forssell won MoM with his two goals and performance rating of 10, but 7 other players recorded a rating of 10. As already mentioned, Fenerbache finally go top. bryan 454
Re: Gold Championship 6 Mallorca 0-5 Valencia Valencia put out a somewhat weakened side for this match but the youngsters played like players who had been playing for years. There was a couple of more experienced players to steady the ship but it was the youngsters who won it for Valencia. Valencia are still in touch with Danny Williams's Zaragoza and are top of their group in the SMFA cup, things are looking good for the club. Manager Bryan Adamson suffered some criticism from Valencia fans at the start of the season after only signing younger players who will only get games to rest the teams more experienced players. Andres D'Alessandro got his first goal for the club tonight after he finally moved from Zaragoza.
bryan 454
Re: Gold Championship 6 Valencia 4-0 Arsenal 9 goals in 2 games for Valencia who got their revenge over the Gunners who beat them the first time they met in the group games. The ratings for the Valencia players show just how good they were, 9 men had 10 out of 10 and the other 2 had 9 out of 10 Valencia had 41 shots on goal and 25 were on target, they also had 68%of the possession. All 4 goals came in the second half, David Villa getting the first of the game only 2 minutes after the restart. 2 surprise goals from defensive midfielder David Albelda, who later received the man of the match award, made it 3-0 David Villa got his second of the game to end the scoring and the game with 10 minutes to go. Valencia now have some breathing distance at the top of the group between themselves and the rest of the group.
GeorgeECFC 4,430
Re: Gold Championship 6 Fenerbache 2-0 Lyon Fenerbache take advantage of Lyon's makeshift defence, which featured Remy Riou and Kevin Jacmot, to keep their chances of progressing alive. It has to be said that Fenerbache dominated this game, racking up a massive total of 34 shots on goal. The 1st half was goalless, but Sanli Tuncay made sure the 2nd didn't go the same way, casually rolling the ball into the net on 55mins. 2 mins later, Craig Bellamy doubled the lead, beating two defenders and slotting home a great solo effort. With the tables yet to be done, this cannot be officially confirmed, but it is believed that Fenerbache move up to 2nd in Group E. Ajax meanwhile, moved further ahead from the rest, thrashing Werder Bremen 6 - 0.

The young starlet though is very much part of LS's plans for a Wolves future and the bid was rejected. LEAGUE ROUNDUP No change in the top three even though only Birmingham in second won. West Brom are only a point ahead now after losing to 15th placed Sunderland. Stoke keep third despite losing to 16th placed Derby. Wolves climb a place to 12th after beating Burnley and need seven points to catch third. Burnleys loss to Wolves drops them into the bottom three in 18th place and level on points with 19th placed Leicester who drew with Cardiff. bryan 454
Re: Gold Championship 6 Valencia 3-2 Villarreal Last night saw Valencia (me) take on visitors Villarreal (Fraser) and the fans were not disappointed with what they saw, 2 goals in the first half and 3 in the second. Valencia took the lead when a wicked deflection wrong footed the unfortunate stopper with the goal being credited to Raul Albiol. Villarreal drew level when Robert Pires ran onto a through ball and thumped the ball into the top corner. David Villa scored a header to make it 2-1 in the 79th minute, then there was a flourish of goals in the last couple of minutes of the game, Miguel Angulo scored with 2 minutes to go then with one minute to go Pires got his second of the game to make it 3-2 but it was too little too late and Valencia kept all 3 points. Valencia are now 3rd in the league table and with Zaragoza losing last night they are only 9 points off the leaders.
