Lordy -RBA- 4,055
Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Lordi maybe? HARD ROCK HALLELUJAH! _______ Anyway. Saints Boss: Signs new 5 season contract I am proud to announce that I will be remaining Southampton for at least another five seasons. According to various sources I am the favourite to become the new Arsenal manager. I am even evens on becoming the next boss to many betting shops. I reiterate I am going nowhere' date=' I have been at Southampton too long to move. Arsenal of course do tempt me, but I want to earn my place in the elite rather than accept a job. We aren't going to do it this year, but maybe next year. With the competition of Division 1 we will always get one or two teams that are very strong such as Leeds, Fulham etc. and it will continue when Chelsea come next season. Hopefully the squad as a whole will get better, I have one of the most youthful in the whole game world, with the likes of Ross (Barkley) we have the chance in cups, and the Monday games. With the experience of Olivier (Giroud) and Kez (Keisuke Honda) we should have a chance of promotion. I have invested a lot into the team, so I will not be moving Southampton, instead the partnership will ever continue. It will be sad to see Ed leave Arsenal, he may not like the boring nature of not being able to do much in such a congested gameworld. Little birdy tells me that the next manager might be Steve Mclaren. [/quote']

Hart Valencia - Kompany - Howedes - Clichy Varane - Thiago Gerrard - Isco Aguero - Van Persie David Silva is out injured. Ranocchia, Yaya Toure and Shinji Kagawa play no part as they have got 4 bookings this season, only need a yellow to get a ban which will go over to next season. Aston Villa finish their season on a high with a 3-1 win against the Spurs. Diarra and Wesley who both played their last game tonight, both scored from deep midfield roles! I finish 9th in the end, which is very satisfactory, as I was lingering just above the relegation just a few games ago

Massive achievement as it never really looked realistic. Anything can happen in the play-offs so it will be an exciting week at Port Vale football club. After their result against Brentford, Port Vale are now unbeaten in 21 games setting a new club record for most games unbeaten in a row. Veigas 4,880
Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Veigas earned a draw with Morecambe against Bury.A thrilling match ended 3 - 3 between Morecambe and Bury in their Division 4 encounter. Esswein scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance. Jara and Sahan were also amongst the goalscorers. Far from a boring game, but happy with the result as a win wouldn't have clinched top spot after York won tonight. Proud of our determination and never giving up on games, so hopefully we can take this attitude to div3 next season. Fantastic season for Morecambe, really enjoyed every minute of it so hope next season we can carry on moving in the right direction. Congrats York, u deserved your 1st spot. Well done to all who clinched promotions tonight too.

Machine 3,744
Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Crystal Palace survive!!! Thankfully Arsenal had already hit the booze to celebrate, er, i mean, commiserate the departure of Mr. Moses and we thought it might be our night when this went our way: The ball catches Vágner LOVE on the hand inside the penalty area. The ref awards the penalty to Arsenal! Yellow Card - The referee books LOVE. GOMEZ tries to put it in the top corner. The keeper guesses wrong but the ball flies wide of the other post. We played very attacking, aggressive 3-4-2-1 which could have seen us get pasted by a superior Arsenal side but tonight attack did really seem to be the best form of defence as we ground out a 0-0 to earn a vital point! My heart was in my mouth on 75 minutes though as I could see that results were going our way and we didn't need to change anything - however I'd already set a change at 75 minutes of 'if losing or drawing' to change to 3-3-4 very attacking....! Thankfully we hung on with Cesar immense in goal, although in the end it was Casillas for Arsenal who was Man of the Match which seems fair enough as we created some great chances despite seeing little of the ball. So we're delighted to stay up, but the fact remains that after finishing 8th last season 17th is a big reality check especially as we enjoyed a run to the semi-finals in Europe and won't have that next season Now that we know we're staying up, none of our younger players will be leaving. However if anyone was looking for a play-off signing boost Zanetti, Abidal, or Shirokov could be available for sale - a 92, 91, or 90 could be very useful to someone...
