Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

Just been looking through the player market to see whats going on as i have rejoined Burton Albion after the last manager left.

As i was going through i was checking certain players to get an idea of the transfer listed price when i clicked on a player i had bought before with Burton so thought why not have a look at his price range.

As i clicked on it i suddenly said to myself "erm ....... erm ......... :O"

Genuinely speechless and not sure what to make of this for many reasons. Not sure if it has been mentioned on here before or not but that bid makes absolutely no sense to me at all

If you think that's insane then check out Wycombe Wanderers.

The gaffer there is selling all his best players and replacing them with 34 year old 64 rated English players

Far be it from me to tell anyone how to run their club but I am interested to see how that works out for him...

he is in GC1, he just buys all the new young players. With a low squad average, he can just pay more than everyone else..

Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

Andrea CONSIGLI has completed his move to Preston North End from Atalanta for £4,100,000 plus Allan MCGREGOR. All other offers were turned down.

The player with the most appearances in a Preston shirt is on his way out of the club, as he is replaced by a younger goalkeeper in the form of Andrea Consigli. McGregor dropped to 86 a few months ago now, so it was time to bring in a higher rated 'keeper to give us that bit more security in goal, although Allan has put in some great performances for us over the seasons. I can't say I know too much about Consigli, but he was probably the best goalkeeper available on the external market and I'm happy to have paid the price that I did. He'll go straight into the starting XI for tonight's game away at Everton :)

Apologies to the Southport manager for a last minute-ish bid. I know it can be a pain in the arse when you're after a player with no other challengers, but I've stated my reasons above.

It's not a real bid. Oxford manager offered him to Tranmere. I'm surprised that Tranmere did not accept the deal yet though, it's a bargain really! B)

Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

In the sake of rebalancing my finances once more, club captain Huszti (89) has been given permission to speak to any interested parties.

He was one of the game world's top performers last season with 11 man of the match wins and 19 goals from midfield. Since I am a stranger to big internal deals, I have set the asking price to the same as I sold Rosicky (89) for: 15 million. Any cash or part exchange offers will be considered though.

Also available for cash are: Barrientos (88), Olic (88) and Gobbi (87).

He just moved to China so 15m is a big ask.

He is an excellent player and very underrated irl, but China will be the end of his SM career, the best offer will more likely come from an external or that Harry Redknapp fella

Yes it's a shame really as he is still in his prime. Despite the move to China, I'm sure he'll keep his 89 rating for a while longer though.

The asking price is what it is because he's such a star player for me in the game that to lose him for the external offer would be counter-productive. If someone's looking for a goal-scoring/assist king midfielder then his in-game stats make him very attractive.

That said, the asking price is negotiable.

Blackpool 1-1 Chalton

Many changes were made to the side that conceded six against Spurs on Wednesday, aswell as a more defensive formation with four at the back. The opening goal came in the 61st minutes, Theo Walcott scoring a minute after coming on as a subsitute. Pocognoli with Charltons equaliser 15 minutes from the end.

Out of the Champions League places dropping to 6th. Amazing how tight the league is at the half way point. Top eight seperated by just five points!

Reminder for those in the FA Youth Cup to please try and set your teams (Max of three senior players!). Had rule breaks in the last 4 rounds, would be great if we get one round with no rule breaks.

Queens Park Rangers hammered Bristol City 5 - 0 in their Division 3 fixture.

Bravo had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match.

Casemiro, Wickham and Bacca were amongst the goalscorers.

We continue to rise positions in Division 3! We're now 11th placed, only 3 points behind play-off zone! Great win for us tonight, although the match was not as easy as the result may indicate. We were slighly better than our opponent. We took our chances very well and Bravo had a good night on goal too. It all worked well for us in the end. Really great performances from Casemiro, (who joined Porto today in real life, nice move B)) and Carlos Bacca, both scored a brace and played very well!

Gozzy Pratama steered Leyton Orient to victory against Grimsby Town.

Leyton Orient beat Grimsby Town 4 - 0 in their Division 4 fixture.

Durm scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Ebert and Bonaventura were also amongst the goalscorers

Solid and nice win to keep the promotion hope alive for Orient

In squad news,we've received bad news as my best striker Gilardino dropped to 89

Swansea City slumped to a 2 - 0 defeat to Fleetwood Town in their Division 3 fixture.

The loss sees us drop one spot down to 5th on the table. Hoping to get back to winning ways in mid week at home to QPR.

M.Bergara was sent of in the 51st minute but it didn't help us in anyway.

Swindon Town beat Brighton and Hove Albion 1 - 0 in their Division 3 fixture.

Much needed 3pts following 3 straight defeats.

It was a very close game with both Goalkeepers earning their money. Nick Marsman getting MoTM & Brighton's Benoit Costil saving a Marko Devic penalty before Christian Noboa finally put us ahead.

Brighton nearly grabbed an equaliser late on but fortunately for us the linesman had his flag up.

Halfway through the season and halfway up the table (or halfway down, depending on how you look at it....)

Team of the Round - Season 8

Round 19

Hey guys. Was unable to do team of the round on Wednesday, was a busy week. However here is my team for games played on Saturday 19th July 2014, in a 4-4-2 formation.

Goalkeeper: Bardi (York)

Right Back: Zanetti (Leyton Orient)

Center Back: Lopez (QPR)

Center Back: Melo (Port Vale)

Left Back: Lahm (Arsenal)

Right Midfield: Navas (West Brom)

Center Midfield: Banega (Everton)

Center Midfield: Sneijder (Aston Villa)

Left Midfield: Pedro (Aston Villa)

Striker: Hulk (Newcastle)

Striker: Emenike (Port Vale)

Div1

Div2

Div3

Div4

Div5

The player of the round goes to Aston Villa's Rodriguez Pedro!!!!

pedro.jpg

The Spainish International makes his first appearance in Team of the Round. The small pacey winger was in excellent form as Aston Villa ran out 6-1 winners at Gillingham. Pedro opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a delicate flick. His second goal was rather fortunate from a scuffed shot, but he completed his hat-trick with a well placed header. That takes his tally up to 11, equals his best from last season, so should be onto his best ever season at Villa which Frozen will hope earn them promotion back to the Premier League!

You're doing an awesome job with the U21 Competition and also TOTR MaoaM!

I got my first player on TOTR in CB Lisandro Lopez! :D U21 Competition is also going great now for QPR. After starting with 2 losses, we now have 3 wins in a row and we beat the leader Shorpe in a thrilling match (5-4) last night. Carlos Bacca is already part of the best scorers with 5. We're also doing pretty well in Division 3, so good times for QPR here at 7777! B)

A nice 2-1 win for us over Birmingham with Alessandrini and Peralta grabbing our goals.

We are starting to put together some decent results, our last 8 games have ended with 4 wins, 3 draws and a defeat to FGR.

We move up to 18th and have a 9 point gap to the drop-zone.

Adriano Borges steered Carlisle United to victory against Blackpool.

Carlisle United beat Blackpool 1 - 0 in their English Championship Cup Quarter Final fixture.

Huszti was on the scoresheet for his side.

One of the top moments for me here in EC7777 (second only to last season's play-off final); beating the current Division 1 Champions to seal a semi-final place. Much respect for Maoam as ever, going out to a single penalty is rough but over the 90 minutes I think we earned it.

The draw has once more been tough on us as we play the highest ranked team remaining in the semi-final; Aston Villa. The positive of this is that I get to face off against Frozy (another manager I have much respect for) - not to mention that the two clubs have had a mutual connection over the past two seasons in aiding Villa's youth and bettering Carlisle's squad through loan deals.

A great game in prospect and another great occasion for Carlisle United.
