Center Midfield: Granero (Preston)

Center Midfield: Bojan (Walsall)

Div5

The player of the round goes to AFC Wimbledon striker Christian Benteke!!!!

It was a pretty easy choice to make tonight. Benteke was in amazing form tonight, even against a tired and weak Barrow side. The Belgian international scored SIX goals in a 7-2 win. He is now up to 14 goals for this season, surpassing last seasons total of 11 and moves to the top of the golden boot race in Division 5.

Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

Crewe win 2-1 away to West Ham to make it five straight league wins and six wins out of the last seven games.

The win moves Crewe up to fourth place in Division 2 and we are really excelling ourselves this season, it seems a long time ago now since we stayed up on the final day of the season.

If Crewe can keep this form going then we would stand a real chance of a third promotion in four seasons.

One bit of bad news though see's our GK Mirante lose a point to 88.

Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

We seemed to have hit a bit of a wobble with a win, 4 draws and a defeat in last six, that 7 points from last 18 had saw the pack closing in.

We ended that wee drought with a more than decent 3-1 win over a strong Fulham, scorers for us were Onazi, Arnold & Howedes.

Bonus that Newcastle lost meaning we go back 5 points clear of second and back to 9 points clear of the 3rd place, pleased with the first 21 games although we have maybe drawn a little too many, 13 wins-7 draws-1 defeat.

Bristol make it a 4 game unbeaten streak after a 1-1 draw with Oxford after a 14th minute Roberto Lago equalizer cancelled out the opening goal of the match by Oxford's Loukas Vyntra.

Next up: a Youth match vs Conventry!

Alassane Plea rose to 83 from 82 earlier also. :)

All players available at Bristol by the way

Blackpool 0-1 Middlesbrough

Blackpool rested players for Mondays shield fixture, and on stats deserved a draw but never mind. The top 4 all dropped points so we havent lost out much.

We remain third.

Reminder for those in the FA Youth Cup, Please set your teams for tomorrow night. No more than TWO SENIORS allowed, these MUST be rated 89 or below. Good luck tomorrow night :)

The player of the round goes to Crystal Palace winger Erik Lamela!!!!

Was a tough choice, with four players scoring hat-tricks but went for the young Argentine international from doing it from left midfield. He scored three against Charlton in a 4-4 draw, all of his goals gave Palace the lead but they couldnt hold on for the three points. Hes having a much better time in front of goal last season and is now up to six in the league, alot better than last seasons dissapointing two. This is the first time Lamela has won player of the round :)

The match ended 2 - 2 between Swindon Town and Barnsley in their Division 2 fixture

Almost a full crowd at County Ground saw us take a welcome point against Barnsley.

It was a good spirited performance from my team. A rare mistake from Nick Marsman gave Barnsley their second equaliser but, considering his overall contribution this season, he will be forgiven for that.

With Artem Dzyuba suspended and Jermain Defoe not fully fit we took a bold decision to play Michael Frey up front. Michael is only rated 83 and was, by a long way, the lowest rated player on the pitch. However, he was set up twice by Miguel Danny and calmly finished the job on both occasions to take his goal tally to an impressive 5 strikes in only 2 starts and 5 substitute appearances.

Rotherham can't stop scoring,we made it 26 goals in our last 5 games which is an average of 5 goals for game after our last game against Exeter where we beat them 5-2(Makarenko(2),Raffael,Montanes(2)).Raffael is also league top scorer with his 15goals and is leading the team in next important games for the cup and in the league

HannahB steered Yeovil Town to victory against fierce rivals Cheltenham Town in the West Country Derby.Yeovil Town beat Cheltenham Town 2 - 0 in their Division 4 fixture.

Candreva scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Hernández was also on the scoresheet for his side

A great win against a team who was sitting in 2nd place.

Yeovil have been on a great run, unbeaten in the last 14 games winning 11 of them.

Our next game that will be my 200th game at Yeovil, is against Newport who are now in 2nd place and 4 points behind us.

Blackpool 2-2 Crystal Palace (Blackpool win 5-3 on penalties)

Blackpool advance into the quarter-finals of the English Shield with a nervy win on penalties, the second time in the competition we progress via a shoot-out.

Both sides fielded almost full strength sides and Palace took the lead in the opening minute through Mohamed Salah. Iniesta equalised shortly after. Saturdays player of the Round Erik Lamelas goal put Palace back in front after the break whilst Carlos tevez's 71st minute penalty took the game into the dreaded shoot-out.

Tevez, Negredo, Perez, Danilo and Iniesta all scored for Blackpool. Pazzini missed the second penalty for Palace. The two teams meet again on Wednesday in the league. Host Port Vale in the last 8 :)

The offer for Borges RÔMULO of Spartak Moskva from Blackpool has been accepted along with other club offers. Spartak Moskva will now decide which offer to proceed with. The transfer will be completed within the next 24 hours.

Also managed to re-sign Romulo (87). Feel kinda bad out bidding a lower division side in Swindon, but had high hopes when I first signed him until the injury. But hes now fit and playing for club and country. Main reason ive signed him is the rumoured move to Arsenal in January. Also Barca apparently want him. Even if that fails still a solid player to have in CM where im pretty short for cover.

Bargain at £5.5mill.

usually i do not do this, and you guys know it. but this time i need a bit of an ego massage!!

also when i do this, the winning runs tend to end in the next match :D

Newport County have now won 9 games in a row after beating Aldershot Town setting a new club record.

After their result against Aldershot Town, Newport County are now unbeaten in 10 games setting a new club record for most games unbeaten in a row.

Newport County rocks :D:D

Manchester City have been drawn away against Cheltenham in the Quarter Finals of the Shield after a 2-0 win at Torquay last night, Shinji Kagawa and Sergio Aguero were on target for us.

Hector Bellerin made his debut, we made 8 changes from the side what lost against United with only Hart, Aguero and Gomez keeping their places in the team.

Salvatore Bocchetti decided to join Bristol from Spartak Moscow with many other clubs vying for his signature, he decided to choose the Division 3 club. On their way to Moscow are full-back Peter Pekarik, and Nicolas Maurice-Belay.

Bocchetti will be a nice addition to our central defence.

Mathew RYAN has completed his move to Swindon Town from Club Brugge KV for 350,000 plus Nick MARSMAN

A bit sorry to lose Nick Marsman as he has been a great asset to my team over the last 3 seasons that saw us rise from Div 4 to Div 2. However, the chance to swap for Ryan seemed to be the right choice given real life performance.

Not sure if changing GK halfway through the season is a good move and I was half hoping that tonight could be Marsman's last match but, as usual, on the one occasion when you least need it SM manage to fast track the transfer!

We will see how young Ryan copes in his debut tonight.

Michael Frey is also expected to play a part in tonight's match at Preston in view of his recent good form.

Three league defeats in a row for Blackpool after losing 3-2 to Palace, who got revenge for us knocking them out of the shield on Monday.

They were very unfit, I made a few changes but surprised we lost. Created twice as many chances but just very wasterful in front of goal. May have won if Tevez had started :(

Drop out of the top 4 for the first time of the season. Hopefully stop the bad run against Peterborough at the weekend.

Queens Park Rangers slumped to a 2 - 1 defeat to Ipswich Town in their Division 3 fixture.

Brahimi was on the scoresheet for his side.

Not a great time for my QPR... 3 losses and 1 draw in our last 4 matches. Narrow defeats in true, but still defeats. We will need to improve considerably to get in top 6. Pirlo returned from his injury in this match and what happened? He picks up another injury and he will be out for another 2 weeks... Sick! :o It's obviously a blow because he's our best player and a player who can make the difference against any opposition. We struggled without him, i hope we can get over it or we will keep struggling for another 5 matches...
