I'm aware of the current situation, and the percentage of unemployed young people is constantly rising, but that doesn't mean that things won't improve. It's impossible to say what the future holds, the course I want to embark on is 4 years long and anything can happen by the end of that, there might be a new PM who will totally change the situation and specialists say there we are being trained for jobs that don't even exist yet. There are all sorts of factors that can't be foreseen that can affect the climate, although I do appreciate your word of warning and it would be naive of me to assume that because I'm going to university that I'll get a job straight away. Then went to College for a couple of years and then stumbled into a decent job. Of course things might improve but highly unlikely in the near future. Media was alright, not sure what I'll be getting tbh. Straight after, had Maths which was a killer IMO, C1 paper today was much harder than the past papers I've been doing.. seems like I'll be re-taking this come June. Didn't even get a break, my hand was killing Oh well, sort of free now.. But going to try and catch up on coursework, and try get a start on C2, seems like I left revision to the last minute for C1 [/quote'] Did AS maths last year, C1 was good as was S1 but C2-good lord! C2 was the worst exam I've ever had (sorry as you probably dont want to hear that haha)! Just do every past paper possible for maths, it honestly is the only way you'll improve. Unfortunately I've dropped it now and forgotten everything I learnt otherwise would've offered to help XD What other A-levels are people doing?

Found it OK even though there were a couple of relatively challenging questions in this paper... Also, I have to agree that past papers is the best thing u can do to prepare. There was one quesion last year that not even the brightest of the further maths people could do, had horrible pi n radians conversions Presumably you're doing further maths? I will have an A-level in Maths and an A-level in Further Maths by next year. The question on today's paper was one involving a transformation of the sine graph and we had to find the equation of that graph...

Further Maths means I have to take FP1, FP2 etc. which I've heard are ok-ish but thanks God I wont have to take FP3 as well

Plus the usual things like algebra and differentiation Regarding C1 and C2, I believe that there shouldnt be any real problems with them. If there are though, dont let them cram up 'cause they are pretty much the foundation of your A-level in maths
barnabyd 2,547
Re: Revision for Exams On the topic of maths, does anyone else find the mechanics horrible compared to the rest of the course? I've just finished FP2 (not the exam just the work) and I find it way way easier than M1. I guess its because I'm not doing physics but other people find it harder as well

Now just got to wait on Chester and Manchester Met, anyone else had anymore luck recently? Also has anyone signed up on yougo? If you haven't it's just a website that helps you meet people that may be studying the same course as you, haven't done much on it yet but I plan to in the near future.
