Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread

Quicker than this for sure' date=' doesn't look very pleasing that at the moment I'll be competing against unmanaged sides but I'm sure it'll fill up soon :)[/quote']

Hope some people come in before the first wave of transfers get accepted.

Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread

Had about 14 bids in for quality players then realised I wouldn't have enough players left in the squad *face palm*

So having to trim down on who I'm going for and also getting in a few kids to boost the numbers.

As for the debate on "who should sign who" My stance is that bigger clubs should leave the risers that will generate a huge profit for the smaller clubs. BUT' date=' it should never imply that big clubs should be barred from signing anyone. At the end of the day, I try to help out smaller teams whenever possible, but when you are told to stop bidding on players or to stear clear of certain age groups etc, then I couldn't care less for your sides size and wealth, just digging yourself a hole and I'd gladly push you in it. Don't bite the hand that feeds you is all I'm saying, or could feed you in the future.[/quote']

I agree with JR, as Spurs I hace absolutely no intention of bidding on risers, so I urge the other top clubs to leave them.

As for loans from Spurs - not yet gents, let me sort my transfers out first.

Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread

I am very disappointed with SM. I could not believe it when I discovered I had 21 players for York. I know that they have more than that' date=' just check their website! I live in York, which is why I took them, and SM have given me players who dont even play fot York! Instead of getting te actual squad, I've got 21 plAyers, a lot of which dont play for York anymore, or never did in the first place! I've submitted Patrick Mclaughlin to the database, and many York and other conference players aren't even on the game! So yeah, I'm going to submit every York player, then buy them :P[/quote']

I'm afraid SM haven't updated BSP teams in about 2 years, i had the same thing with my Wimbledon in 7777. Hopefully as they are reviewing Leagues 1 and 2 they might consider doing the Conference in the near future. :)

Edit: Btw does anyone want a friendly against Notts County as i want to try out a formation :)

Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread

The bids won't be accepted till atleast 8PM tonight sorry guys, I'm not sure but I think it's around 24 hours after the first bid was put in. Am I right in saying that once the first person to bid for a player withdraws (If they do) then the bid will be accepted 24 hours after the second person bid? Or would it not matter? :)

We can't be too sure with SM, teams have put bids in the middle of the night and I wake up to find they are accepted the next morning , anything can happen mate. :)

Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread

Made my last few bids and if everything goes to plan (unlikely) then I should have 19 players coming in, will be happy with at least 15 come in :)

10 of them are 80+ and the rest are risers who will be the second team, happy so far and will be looking to get promotion in my first season like in 7777 :)

Ah, I havent played SM for that long, this is the first time I've seen anything lower than the championship being reviewed, so maybe they will change it :)

Small upside is that I get peter till, who although he doesnt play for York anymore, he is rated 75 :)

Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread

Thanks!

looks like I'll feed of the scraps of what's left' date=' since i've joined the game server 1 day late...[/quote']

No external bids have been accepted yet mate so everyone's available :D

Cmon fellas' date=' doesn't anybody want a friendly against York?

And could anybody help me out for some loans? Especially those people in WC10000 who I helped![/quote']

Swansea, along with many Premiership teams, will have loans out once my first few external deals are done :)
