Re: Official World Cup 2014 Qualification Thread I just saw that Josué (FC Porto) gave the middle finger to the Swedish fans, in the Solna match, against Portugal. Therefore, I'd like to apologise,

Re: Official World Cup 2014 Qualification Thread

Good thing is if Portugal gets out of the mess they'll have a relatively easier opponent to play against in 2nd round from group H.

Our first game against Germany will take place at 1.00 PM local time in Manaus in full tropical winter! At lunch time, it usually is right before the rain (it rains everyday) so it will be stuffy, suffocating and very very wet.

Germans be prepared it's not Central Europe weather!

Round of 16:

49 - 1A/2B Brazil v Chile

50 - 1C/2D Colombia v Italy

53 - 1E/2F France v Bosnia

54 - 1G/2H Germany v Russia

51 - 1B/2A Spain v Mexico

52 - 1D/2C Uruguay v Ivory Coast

55 - 1F/2E Argentina v Switzerland

56 - 1H/2G Belgium v Portugal

Quarter Finals:

57 - 49/50 Brazil v Italy

58 - 53/54 France v Germany

59 - 51/52 Spain v Uruguay

60 - 55/56 Argentina v Belgium

Semi Finals:

61 - 57/58 Brazil v Germany

62 - 59/60 Spain v Argentina

Final:

64 - 61/62 Brazil v Argentina

Somehow the Brazilians get past the seemingly unbeatable Germans and Messi inspires Argentina past half of his club team-mates and Messi goes on to cement his legacy and wins the World Cup on Brazilian soil in one of the most heated World Cup Finals in history. Heard it here first.

In all honesty though, anything can happen from the Quarter's onwards.

If your prediction came true, many of my Brazilian friends would have a heart attack!

It would be a nightmare, for most Brazilians, to lose the final, at home, against Argentina.

But I guess we'll have to wait and see, mate.;)

I am hoping for Germany to win :)

I actually (some time ago) picked Germany as my main contenders, followed by Brazil. Spain and Argentina.

Germany have good depth and great players.

If 1 of these 4 national teams doesn't win the World Cup, I'll be quite surprised tbh.:)

I would say that Italy could pull a few suprises if they do it right, along with Belgium.

Yeah, could happen.

For instance, I find it exciting to see the Belgian NT play, but they haven't been in a major competition in many years.

I'm quite curious to see what happens.;)

well I want Germany to beat every one but Crotia :P

And yeah unfortunately Brazil has been great great great recently... i saw at least 2nd place they will achieve... The dutch are underachievers for a while now tbh... tehy hasnt been really a brilaint youth dutch talent:

we got neymar-brazil, isco-spain, gotze-germany, etc...

i am not sure if the dutch got some kind of extraordinary youth...

and if you disagree to my radical ideas, i am cool, and I hope u will be too :);)

Nah, you spoke quite well, buddy.

In offensive terms, I really don't see any outstanding Dutch talent.

Surprisingly imo they now have some good defensive prospects, like Martins Indi or De Vrij, from Feyenoord.

Btw Zlooky, why don't you want Germany to beat Croatia, if they face each other?:)

and even those dutch defensive prospects are no where near Germany's Mattias Ginter....

Hum, I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on Mattias Ginter.

But he's still a promising youngster.

Well, I hope you win your bet!;)
