Zhemchuzhina Welcome Fletcher

Zhemchuzhina today announced the arrival of ex Wolves striker Steven Fletcher to Sochi stadium.

Sgt Fury:

"I'm delighted to have him here and really looking forward to getting ready to help take Zhem to the top. He is already fitting in well with the team and fans alike. I think the supporters can relate to him because he has that kind of Russian look to him. You know, dragged through a hedge backwards kinda thing. And ugly, don't get me going..."

The Globe Tournament

Division 3

Al Gharafa 0 Zhemchuzhina 1

Att: 3,376

HT: 0 - 1

Zhemchuzhina scorer: Holenda 38 mins

Makedonjia scorers:

Zhemchuzhina showed off some of their new squad today in a 1-0 win over Al Gharafa of Quatar.

Zhem manager Sgt Fury:

"We did good considering we still have players not match fit and playing out of position. We controlled the possession and that was really the key"

The new boss was not happy though with one of his new boys receiving a red card after a high tackle

"Stupid. No need for it. I'll be talkin to Alex (Geijo) later. We are still in a transition period and stuff like this is what holds you down"

Re: The Globe Tournament Discussion Thread

Tokyo win 3-0 away to Kharkiv, which keeps us in 2nd place.

Meanwhile in the friendly cup, Tokyo have sent a 2nd invite to Perak after the first offer was ignored. Their manager hasnt been online for nearly 2 weeks now, think he's a goner.

Also, I'll be away for the next 2 weeks so will be onlie only sporadically, any friendly offers needing to be accepted/sent may be delayed slightly.

Basnandez steered Godoy Cruz to victory against Rentistas.

Godoy Cruz beat Rentistas 1 - 0 in their Division 4 fixture.

Schmitz had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match.

Funes Mori was on the scoresheet for his side.

''We should have won this 2 or 3 - 0''

Re: The Globe Tournament Discussion Thread

LOL i lost to Liberty Professionals with 0-1

But the stats was not the same...

43% to me 57% pos to him

AND i have 34 shots and he only had 5!!!

Where 15 of them was on target and he only had 1 single!!!

How can players be so bad to score when you get so much chances? and Liberty only need 1 shoot that's stupid! -.-

Today we welcome Santa Fe from Columbia. They currently are 5th in division 3, one position higher than Zhem.

But not for long...

News: Steven Fletcher makes his debut in the center forward role today as does his ex Wolves team mate defender Kevin Foley.

Zhemchuzhina will be without defender Chris Cohen (foot) and Alex Geijo (dirty git)

Zhem - Ortiz 68

Zhem's unbeaten run under Sgt Fury continues with their most impressive win so far, opponent wise.

Fury after the game:

"very pleased, we totally controlled the game, 63% possession I think it was. Onwards and upwards, we'll savor this one tonight but it's back to the slog tomorrow"

Next weeks opposition will be an even bigger test as Zhem face of against 2nd place FC Tokyo in Japan.

Fury:

"No idea what to expect from them but I'm looking forward to the trip. I love Chinese food". When told that Japan didn't do Chinese Fury replied "China, Japan, same difference. They do egg roles though...right?".

Re: The Globe Tournament Discussion Thread

I have put in 2 requests and no response. I'm asking for a win.

Likewise. Maybe need a league announcement to point out why friendlies are being offered. Some managers might be active in the league, but not the forum.

Meanwhile, back in the league...great 5-1 win for Tokyo on Sunday. Keeps us in 2nd and looking good. Hope for more of the same against Fury's scrabble winners on Thursday.

Gangwon FC - FK Zhemchuzhina -

Att:

HT:

Zhem -

Zhem travel to the far east today to take on Gangwon FC of the Korean republic. Gangwon although unmanaged have made it to the upper levels of division 4, one lower than Zhemchuzhina.

Zhem boss Sgt Fury thinks the Koreans will be a tough nut to crack:

"They'll be coming at us for sure, but I think at the end of the day we should have enough to pull through. One lad in particular I've heard about is Won-Jong Ho, he seems like a very capable midfielder with some firepower. Still, I expect it to be a case of Won-Jong Ho S**T by the time we finish with them".

Gangwon FC 1 FK Zhemchuzhina 3

Att: 18247

HT: 0 - 2

Zhem - Drublionis 29

Kovalchuk 34

Taylor 48

Ganwon - Seo 74

The run continues as Zhemchuzhina, who put out a much weakened 2nd team but still rolled all over Gangwon in South Korea.

Sgt Fury:

"Possession again, that was the key. We're doing a pretty good job holding on to the ball right now and it's showing in the bottom line. They had quite a few shots at us but most were forced, all because of possession. They just were reduced to wild shots when they got the ball.

Don't know who we have next..."

We told the Zhem boss it was away to MKE Ankaragucu.

Fury:

"Bless you!".

Re: The Globe Tournament Discussion Thread

Possible explanations of this picture

A) "Move away from my invisible seat"

B) "Sing along and dance. DANCE' date=' I tells ya!"

C) "I know Kung-Fu"

D) It's hard for siamese twins playing for two different teams

... or something completely different... :D[/quote']

Good question :P

Just for more information

The guy in black and red is Mikkel Thygesen from FC Midtjylland...

And the other guy in yellow is Daniel Stenderup from Brøndby IF

Expect that Daniel Stenderup will rise to 84/85 next danish chance :D
