atoddholland 12
Re: Footie Zealots Alas Siena won't be in the playoffs. The new manager at Fenerbahce assured we split the points and I now can only hope my young team picks up some much needed ratings points! Cheers to all who competed this season. I expect the upcoming one to be much more competitive, as the top teams rise and those unmanaged sink. Thanks for everyone's involvement.
Guest <klhepworth.
Re: Footie Zealots Sociedad lost 1-0 at Chivas after resting all but the keeper. Finished 5th as expected and into the play-offs we go! Play the Mexican side in the semis, backing myself there:)

NumberSix 455
Re: Footie Zealots Completed Boca's first season with a bang, winning the division 3 championship on the last game and thus finishing a roller coaster season on the highest note. Thanks to everyone who got involved and to Todd for keeping the league well and alive. Good luck to everyone in the playoffs. Was a bit surprised I could swap Neuer so easily. Guest <klhepworth.
Re: Footie Zealots Hope you win We certainly did! Sociedad reach Division 1 at the first time of asking, hammering FC Koln 5-1 in the final. First-half goals from Alex, Suarez and a stunning hat-trick from Rafael Van der Vaart concluded a stunning a turnaround under me, having taken over with Real sitting bottom with no points from 7 games. The squad is likely to see change over the off-season with the majority of players coming off their Transfer Bans on October 28.

Guest <klhepworth.
Re: Footie Zealots Transfer Bans are off and I've moved quickly... Coming in: Ferreira Pepe Igor Akinfeev Kevin Gameiro Bernd Leno Going out: Alex (P/E for Pepe) Gonalons (P/E for Pepe) Sergio Romero (P/E for Akinfeev) Ramirez Tono (P/E for Tono) Lennart Thy Ravel Morrison Maybe sacrificing some depth but more deals to come as a re-shape the side! Not all of these signings went through as the Bernd Leno deal collapsed due to a lack funds, which wasn't actually the case and this allowed Montpellier to jump in ahead of me with a higher bid the second time around:(

Guest <klhepworth.
Re: Footie Zealots I sold Lichtsteiner and Taiwo and have replaced them with Jan Vertonghen and Jordi Alba, making just over £4M. Alba should get a +2 in the next ratings too, so we moved forward!
Guest <klhepworth.
Re: Footie Zealots Where's everyone gone?! Anyway, Sociedad trade last year's top scorer - Soloman Rondon - plus £1M for German star Marco Reus, building a really nice team here, and the youngsters continue to come in:D
atoddholland 12
Re: Footie Zealots I'm still here at Siena and surprise, surprise, I'm 2-0! I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. Anyway, did my tactics for the first time in a week or so and the results were awesome! Sociedad beat Cardiff 6-1. Suarez, Reus, Gameiro (2), Van der Vaart and Alba got the goals, three of the new boys on the score sheet! Jumped all the way up to third after that win, haha!
