timesle 8,023
4 matchdays have (almost) been played now in the Bundesliga and in the eyes of a Soccermanager the most important question probably is: "Who is the next Götze? Who will get the next huge rise?" Though I don't think we'll have a riser like Götze this year (as he is an extra-ordinary player) there are still quite some youngsters who may get nice rises. So I took a look at the Bundesliga teams and made a list about the recent youngsters. In this list there are only players rated 80 or lower, being not older than 22 and having played at least 1 minute this season so far. Furthermore I sorted the list according to how I rate the chances for the player to get a nice rise. I am careful to point out that I can't give any detailed information about the players. I hardly have seen them play so far and I also don't want to judge the players based on 3 or 4 games. However due to my experience with Soccermanager and the Bundesliga I dare to say who has good chances to rise. But I also can't predict now, how much they will rise. Besides if you have questions regarding other Bundesliga players I please you to ask in the respective Bundesliga Rating Thread. Should anyone still ask how much one of the following players will rise or should anyone ask how any other player is doing in the Bundesliga, his question will either be ignored or it will be answered in a sarcastically way. Young - low rated - getting minutes Must buys Marc-André ter Stegen Borussia Mönchengladbach Age: 19 Rating: 78 Minutes played this season: 270 Bernd Leno Bayer Leverkusen Age: 19 Rating: 79 Minutes: 270 Julian Draxler Schalke 04 Age: 17 Rating: 80 Minutes: 180 Good buys Patrick Rakovsky 1. FC Nürnberg Age: 18 Rating: 75 Minutes: 180 Markus Mendler 1. FC Nürnberg Age: 18 Rating: 78 Minutes: 136 Akaki Gogia FC Augsburg Age: 19 Rating: 76 Minutes: 150 Chris Löwe Borussia Dortmund Age: 22 Rating: 75 Minutes: 165 Julian Wiessmeier 1. FC Nürnberg Age: 18 Rating: 75 Minutes: 108 Lennart Thy Werder Bremen Age: 19 Rating: 78 Minutes: 151 Konstantinos Fortounis 1. FC Kaiserslautern Age: 19 Rating: 79 Minutes: 270 Miro Varvodic 1. FC Köln Age: 22 Rating: 80 Minutes: 180 Alexander Esswein 1. FC Nürnberg Age: 21 Rating: 80 Minutes: 127 Richard Sukuta-Pasu 1. FC Kaiserslautern Age: 21 Rating: 80 Minutes: 251 Robert Mak 1. FC Nürnberg Age: 20 Rating: 80 Minutes: 60 Maybe tops - maybe flops Daniel Williams SC Freiburg Age: 22 Rating: 78 Minutes: 90 Michael Schulze VfL Wolfsburg Age: 22 Rating: 75 Minutes: 75 Odise Roshi 1. FC Köln Age: 20 Rating: 78 Minutes: 43 Lukas Rupp Borussia Mönchengladbach Age: 20 Rating: 76 Minutes: 22 Matthew Leckie Borussia Mönchengladbach Age: 20 Rating: 80 Minutes: 24 Alfredo Morales Hertha BSC Berlin Age: 21 Rating: 75 Minutes: 24 Dominik Kaiser 1899 Hoffenheim Age: 22 Rating: 75 Minutes: 24 Petar Sliskovic FSV Mainz 05 Age: 20 Rating: 78 Minutes: 13 Joshua King Borussia Mönchengladbach Age: 19 Rating: 77 Minutes: 5 Finally I'd like to add that I don't give any guarantee that these players will rise. Maybe one of them will break his leg tomorrow and then a rise is of course more than uncertain. Maybe one of these players won't get any more minutes in the first team due to whatever reasons. I don't have a crystal ball - I certainly can't predict the future. But I would say if you buy all of these players you will make a profit. Can Argon 380
Re: Young - low rated - getting minutes Very good thread In my opinion, we can name Draxler, this year's Götze He played 86 minutes yesterday against Gladbach. Now he has a total of 264 minutes. I agree he's a must buy.
timesle 8,023
Re: Young - low rated - getting minutes Very good thread Thanks. In my opinion' date=' we can name Draxler, this year's Götze He played 86 minutes yesterday against Gladbach. Now he has a total of 264 minutes. I agree he's a must buy.[/quote']Well, I thought about that, too, to be honest. But I still wouldn't call Draxler the next Götze due to two points. I don't think that Schalke will play as impressive as Dortmund did last season. Draxler IMO doesn't have such a great input to the game like Götze has (and had) at Dortmund. Götze was already a key player in his first season whilst Draxler is a good player he can be replaced more easily IMO. Nevertheless I believe that Draxler can reach 86-87 this season. Completely agree, I also prefer name Draxler, "Draxler" but if we're obligated to name someone Götze, Draxler would be the most appropriate candidate Never mind, it would be better we discuss other subjects

timesle 8,023
Re: Young - low rated - getting minutes Well, almost 8 matchdays have been played now - so another 4 since I created the thread. Due to the positive feedback I decided to make an ★★★★★★★★★ ★ U P D A T E: ★ ★★★★★★★★★ Must buys Marc-André ter Stegen Borussia Mönchengladbach Age: 19 Rating: 78 Minutes played this season: 720 Ter Stegen is an awesome keeper. He has already shown this last season when he replaced Bailly while Gladbach was at the bottom of the table - basically already relegated. But at that time as an 18 year old Bundesliga newbie he managed to get only 3 goals against in the last 6 matches of the season and so Gladbach managed to avoid the relegation. This season he has proved that this hasn't happened by accident. So far in 8 games played he received only 4 goals against. The second best of all teams behind Bayern. IMO ter Stegen is easily talented enough to become a 90+ rated keeper in future. __________ Bernd Leno Bayer Leverkusen Age: 19 Rating: 79 Minutes: 630 Another German goalkeeper talent. Currently a bit hyped by the media IMO but still a very good keeper, too. Though I would say Leno hasn't shown as much as ter Stegen has so far, he might get the same or even a higher rise as he plays CL with Bayer. Again I would say he has the abilities to get 90 anytime. __________ Julian Draxler Schalke 04 Age: 18 Rating: 80 Minutes: 355 It might be a bit surprising that I still list Draxler as a must buy, comparing his played minutes with those of the other 2 players in this category. However I still believe he will get a nice rise as he also gets lots of EL minutes and therefore he sometimes gets rested in the league. Furthermore I think he is a decent player and a good talent and so he'll make his way. __________ Good buys Chris Löwe Borussia Dortmund Age: 22 Rating: 75 Minutes: 389 Alexander Esswein 1. FC Nürnberg Age: 21 Rating: 80 Minutes: 398 Richard Sukuta-Pasu 1. FC Kaiserslautern Age: 21 Rating: 80 Minutes: 502 Gökhan Töre Hamburger SV Age: 19 Rating: 80 Minutes: 387 Dominik Kaiser 1899 Hoffenheim Age: 23 Rating: 75 Minutes: 293 Markus Mendler 1. FC Nürnberg Age: 18 Rating: 78 Minutes: 284 Akaki Gogia FC Augsburg Age: 19 Rating: 76 Minutes: 294 Konstantinos Fortounis 1. FC Kaiserslautern Age: 19 Rating: 79 Minutes: 273 Maybe tops - maybe flops Robert Mak 1. FC Nürnberg Age: 20 Rating: 80 Minutes: 180 Julian Wiessmeier 1. timesle 8,023
Re: Young - low rated - getting minutes ★★★★★★★★ ★ Analysis: ★ ★★★★★★★★ Marc-André ter Stegen +7 Bernd Leno +6 Julian Draxler +4 So the "must buys" rose by 5.67 on average. Chris Löwe +5 Alexander Esswein +3 Richard Sukuta-Pasu +2 Gökhan Töre +4 Dominik Kaiser +3 Markus Mendler +2 Akaki Gogia +4 Konstantinos Fortounis +4 Rising on average of the good buys: 3.38 Robert Mak +2 Julian Wiessmeier +2 Lennart Thy +1 Daniel Williams +4 Patrick Rakovsky +2 Miro Varvodic +0 Michael Schulze +0 Odise Roshi +2 Lukas Rupp +4 Matthew Leckie +0 Alfredo Morales +1 Knowledge Musona +4 Zhi Gin Lam +2 Danny da Costa +2 Karim Bellarabi +0 Teemu Pukki +5 Marvin Plattenhardt +3 Wilson Kamavuaka +2 Joshua King +0 Willi Orban +1 Jannik Vestergaard +2 Average rise of the "maybe tops - maybe flops": 1.86 So basically as I said before: If you bought all of them, you surely made a nice profit. Nabu 502
Re: Young - low rated - getting minutes I think Töre and Vestergaard are the ones you should keep an eye on. Töre has been surprisingly good in a team fighting for survival. Now that HSV is doing a bit better he might benefit even more. Vestergaard is getting more and more time and might be one of the next big risers.
