dean barden earned a draw with Fulham against Wycombe Wanderers.

The match ended 1 - 1 between Fulham and Wycombe Wanderers in their Friendly fixture.

Podolski scored the only goal for Fulham and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Re: English Championship 10000 Discussion Thread

My Lincoln City side are having a decent pre season.

Beat Burton Albion, then only lost 2-0 to Millwall, and only lost 1-0 to EPL outfit Everton.

Although they had double the shots of my side, only 2 more on target, and possession was 50/50.. So a very good effort by the young Div5 side against an experienced and quality side including Neymar, Robinho, Damiao and Jerome Boateng to name only a few :D:D

Loan Moves and Third Kit Revealed at Newcastle

Sent 5 players out on loan today. Anthony Limbombe has joined Oxford United, Haris Vuckic has gone to Hereford United, Nicolai Boilesen is at Darlington, and Ryan Taylor has made the short-term switch to Bath City. Did have a pair of offers for Morgan Schneiderlin, but had to reject both because he would be nowhere near their first team. Unfortunately that was the same with a lot of the offers for both Taylor and Boilesen. I would much rather them not playing for me, than not playing for you.

As promised yesterday, here's the 3rd kits that Newcastle may use at some point during the season:

Newcastle3rd.pngNewcastle3rdGK.png

You may have guessed there's a theme from the banner, and that's a modern take on classic Newcastle kits, including new sponsors Virgin Money (a last minute edit after they were on the front of the shirts against Manchester United earlier. Amazing goals from Ba and Cabaye, Phil Jones with a candidate for worst own goal ever :D). Fans may recognize this one as the maroon and navy away shirt from the 95-96 season, the season Keegan's Newcastle infamously gave up a 12-point lead to finish 2nd to Manchester United. Sported by pre-Shearer heroes, Les Ferdinand and David Ginola, as shown here.

The Goalkeepers kit is a take on a shirt that's been listed in a top 5 of Terrible Goalkeeping kits. When I remember watching Newcastle in the mid 90s, just when I was starting to get into football, I remember Newcastle always managed to produce a striking, eye-catching goalkeeper shirt. This is one of the first ones I remember, worn by my favourite Newcastle player at the time, Pavel Srnicek, here. The design is based on Lyon's Champions League shirt from last season with some minor edits to the template, increasing the size of the collar to put Adidas on it and deleting the white bars which would've been on the left side of the shirt.

More to come tomorrow!

Burnley 9 - 1 Southend United

An amazing pre-season comes to an end with an amazing result! :D

A win against Cardiff on Saturday is all that matters though. However I don't fancy my chances. The amount of 89's in their squad makes me cry a little. :o

The loan offer for Mason BENNETT of Derby County from Exeter City has been accepted. The loan deal has been completed.

Makes it six players out on loan (Bennett, Caprari, Salamon, Kovacic, Ganz and Crisetig) :D Glad to be of service to lower division teams :)

Just learned I have the 4th biggest stadium in Div 2 :) And it's bigger than Stoke, QPR, Wolves, Swansea, Norwich, Bolton, Wigan, Fulham, Blackurn and West Brom.:eek::eek:

In the market for a decent centre-mid and winger (U21 preferably) :) Please let me know if any are available (y)

Re: English Championship 10000 Discussion Thread

No bidding from unmanaged Hammer. There are plenty of external teams with 160k worth of talent, so please withdraw the bid.

In Manchester City news Milner has been loaned to Leicester until an injury or suspension occurs also a new loan available, 75 rated CBs Santos Elivelton can go on a ten week loan deal. Will rise up a fair few in these Brazilian changes so don't be put off by being a 75.

Also some cheap cash sales:-

19 year old Benali (75, CM) can go for 600k.

19 year old Bunn (75, CF) can go for 700k.

We only have about 15 spots left so need to push this EC to people who may want a lower league challenge.

Re: English Championship 10000 Discussion Thread

The offer for Mehdi BALLOUCHY of New York RB from Bradford City has been accepted. The transfer will be completed within the next 24 hours.

One more 80 rated player in. I mean why not! Brings me up to 11 players rated 80+ (and that's without Pastore) so a full team even if the 90 rated star is recalled. :D

Starting 11 average rating is 83! Would drop to 82 without Pastore but still very strong. All I need now is the Championship review to hurry along and I'll have the near perfect start to the set-up.
