Ricky Rodriguez was appointed as the new manager of A.C Milan on Boxing Day 2011 and quickly went to work on re-shaping the team.

Rodriguez, with the mindset of bringing youth into the squad went to work early and managed to bring several new faces to the club quickly.

Marvin Martin, Ricky Van Wolfswinkel and Douglas Costa were brought in from New York RB for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Fans were not happy with the departure of the Swedish striker but were excited about the young class added to the squad.

Marko Marin was next to make the move to San Siro in a deal that saw Antonio Di Natale and Rodney Strasser head to Argentina.

Steven Gerrard was next on the chopping block and decided to head to Red Bull with Ibrahimovic in a deal for Ola Toivonen and Younes Belhanda.

Cedric Carrasso, Pavel Mamaev, Balde Ibrahima, Youssef El-Arabi and Massimo Ambrosini all joined Milan for in cash deals totaling only £27M.

Since Rodriguez first took over, Milan have won their last 4 games beating Lazio 4-1, Livorno 3-1, Pisa 3-0 and Torino 6-1.

Milan face 5th place Juventus in the last game of the season. Milan must win and hope that Inter suffers an unlikely defeat against Lecce if they are to win the title.

Manager Rodriguez has said that he is looking forward to the challenge of managing one of the best teams in the world and is hoping to bring every piece of silverware on offer next season back to San Siro.
